KANIARIS Helen "Eleni" Kaniaris, age 87, passed away unexpectedly March 28, 2001 at Riverside Hospital. A Columbus resident for many years, formerly from Lorain, Oh. Preceded in death by husband John B. Kaniaris and daughter Magdalene, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her sons, James J. (Joan) Kaniaris of Columbus, John (Idalia) Kaniaris of Cincinnati, Oh., Thomas J. Kaniaris of Avon, Oh., Peter (Deborah) Kaniaris of S.C. and Alex Kaniaris of the residence; daughter, Catherine (Anthony) Chirakos of Columbus; a brother and 2 sisters in Greece; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO., 2990 Bethel Rd., Friday 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Saturday 9 a.m. Rev. Alexander Papagikos officiating. Interment Union Cemetery. Family suggests that any contributions be directed to the American Red Cross in Eleni's memory.

KELLY Mary Ellen Kelly, age 67, Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at O.S.U. Hospital East. She was the beloved mother of Debbie, Mike (Terri), Jeff (Christine), Doug (Tish), Janet (Bill). Also survived by husband, Jack; grandchildren, Michelle, Billy, Buffy, Robbie, Renee, Jeff and Emilee; 7 great-grandchildren; brother; sisters; and other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday at COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where family will receive friends following the service.

KINGREY Clara E. Kingrey, 102, of Orient, died Thursday, March 29, 2001 at home. She was a member of Harrisburg Pilgrim Holiness Church. Graduate of Rio Grande College with a degree in teaching. She was a Lt. in the U.S. Army and later became a physical therapist and dietician eventually retiring from Elmcrest Nursing Home. Preceded in death by sister Margaret Rowe, brothers William, John, Ernest and twin brother Clarence Kingrey. Survived by nephews, Kenneth Kingrey and Ray Rowe; caregiver, Richard (Debra) Smith Jr. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Graveside service will be held Monday 10 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

MAHON John L. Mahon, age 70, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001. He was retired from Cardinal Industries, Columbus, Oh. and served 2 terms in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, brother and step-son James Evans. He is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, June Spano, Chattaroy, W.Va.; sister, Thelma Wright, Delbarton, W.Va.; step-sons, Emil (Kay) Hall, Jr. and William (Martha) Evans, both of Reynoldsburg; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, where his funeral will be Saturday 11 a.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

MALONEY Helen J. Maloney, age 83, Monday, March 26, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial today 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Helen wished for many Masses to be offered for the repose of her soul. Arrangements by NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 268-8811.

MANN Robert Dale Mann, age 59, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 28, 2001. Born January 27, 1942 in Columbus, Oh. Employed by Graham Services for 13 years. He leaves many that will miss him. Preceded in death by wife Judy Mann, parents Robert and Beulah Mann, brother Robert Mann Jr., step-son Ray Woody Jr. and granddaughter Christina Ervin. Survived by children, Robert Dale "Bobby" II (Tammy) Mann and Esther (Tom) Drake; step-daughters, Debbie Bowshier and Diana Shy; daughter-in-law, Betty Woody; very close friend, Margaret Cruse; ex-wife, Cathy Mann; brothers, Ralph (Mary) Mann and Gary (Patty) Mann, all of Columbus, Oh.; sister, Mae (Brian) Mahoney of Johnstown, Oh.; brother-in-law, Howard (Jane) Canter of Wadsworth, Oh. and Bill (Ginny) Canter of Caldwell, Oh.; sisters-in-law, Jerri (Ronnie) Harrison of Oakhill, Oh. and Jane (J.T.) Moss of Columbia, Ky.; 8 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. MEYER Hazel (Gordon) Meyer, 89, the beloved wife for 61 years of Joseph Meyer, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, Wexner Heritage House, Columbus. Born in Cincinnati, Oh., the daughter of Moses and Ida (Raffel) Gordon. Attended Cincinnati Art Academy and operated Hazel Meyer Employment Bureau in downtown Cincinnati. Moved to Springfield, Oh. in 1942, where she became an active board member and docent of the Springfield Museum of Art, from its earliest years. Continued her art education at Atlantic University, Palm Beach Jr. College and Wittenberg University. Served as an officer of the Wittenberg Guild, The Research Club of Springfield and as president of B'nai Brith Women. She was also a volunteer at St. John's Convalescing Home for many years and a devoted member of Temple Sholom, serving on its Board of Trustees and teaching in its religious school. Preceded in death by her husband and her sister Lillyan Willins of Diamondhead, MS. Survivors include 2 daughters, Judith (Gerald) Swedlow of Bexley and Susan (Chalmers) Coe, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Tracy (Richard Washbourne) Swedlow of San Francisco, Deborah (Dr. Barbara Brush) Swedlow of Boston, Pamela Swedlow, Catherine (Tom) Kauffman, Joanne and Jacqueline Feibel, all of Columbus; great-grandson, Alexander Kauffman of Columbus; sisters, Sophia Campbell of Cornelius, N.C. and Sylvia Weine of Kendall, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m., Jackson LYTLE & INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield. Rabbi Marianne L. Givertz officiating. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. Visitation Friday afternoon at the home of Roberta and Jay Greenland, 930 Henderson Drive, Springfield. Shiva (calling hours) at the home of Judie and Gerry Swedlow, Columbus, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings. Memorial service Wexner Heritage House, Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 11 a.m. Rabbi Cary Kozberg officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Sholom, Springfield or Wexner Heritage House, Columbus.

Funeral service Monday 10 a.m., Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave. Mr. Miller will lie in state Monday after 8:30 a.m. at the church, where the family will receive friends 9 a.m. until time of service. NAAS Frederick J. Naas, 76, of Kingston, died 12:59 a.m. March 29, 2001 in his home following an extended illness. He was born December 8, 1924 in Columbus, Oh. to William F. and India Watkins Naas. On June 13, 1949 he married Gloria Hammond, who survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer V. (William "Butch") Carmean, Kingston; sons, Eric W., Beavercreek, Oh. and Dale A., Kingston; 4 granddaughters, Linsey B. and Kimberly J. Carmean, India E. and Daniele E. Naas, all of Kingston; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Mack) McCready, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh., JoAnn (Roger) Wilson of Westerville, Oh. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother Ethel Naas. Mr. Naas was a member of the Logan Elm Lodge 624 F&AM, the Scottish Rite, the Aladdin Shrine Temple, a life member of the Ross County Shrine Club, and a member of the Green Township Fire Department. Mr. Naas retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a Sergeant in 1979, after 31 years of service and retired as the Director of Security from the Adena Health System in 1990. He was a Navy WW II veteran. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2001 in the HALLER FUNERAL HOME, 1661 Western Ave. with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. military graveside service will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Firing Squad and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Friends may call 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Haller's, where a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Township Fire Department or the Adena Hospice Program.

PARRATT Esther Marie Parratt, 95, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001. She was preceded in death by husband C.W. Parratt and son Carl. She is survived by Mary Lou Justus, Rita M. Knighton and Stephen (Roberta) Parratt; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 7:15 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2001 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Private interment Union Cemetery.

PARSLEY Joann Parsley, 63, of Columbus, beloved mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001. Retired after 30 years of service as a retail manager at Schottenstein's North. Survived by her children, Laura Fann, David (Deborah) Parsley, John Parsley, Brenda (Richard) Pletcher and Alice Dallara; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, Karl Road Baptist Church, 5750 Karl Rd.

PEALER Daniel R. Pealer, age 72, of Mt. Vernon, died March 29, 2001 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born June 2, 1928 in Amity to Virgil and Ethel (DeBolt) Pealer. He was an active member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, Mt. Vernon Country Club and the Old Homestead Club. He was the Chapter Chairman of SCORE in Columbus. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the YMCA from 1972 to 1977 and served as Treasurer in 1976-1977. He was a 36 year employee of Cooper Energy Services, retiring in 1993. He graduated from Amity High School in 1946 and Ashland College in 1950. He was an Army Vetearn of the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, coffee with his friends and get togethers with friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Glenna (Brown) Pealer, to whom he had been married 44 years; 3 daughters, Susan (Dan) Davis of Fredericktown, Carla (Mitch) Shults of Portland, Oreg. and Janet (Jim) Buffer of Columbus; 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday 3 p.m. in Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Rodney Buchanan officiating. The NORTH-DILLEY FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Vernon, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 205 North Mulberry St., Mt. Vernon, Oh. 43050.

PEYTON Dorothy J. Sandage Peyton, age 88, March 28, 2001. Preceded in death by son James Sandage. Survived by niece, Dolores Harper; niece, Donald (Kay) Irwin; great-nieces, Debora (Terry) Farley, Donna (Henry) Sapp and Barbara Skeen; great-nephews, David (Patti) Beverly, Roger Irwin, William Click; several great-great-nieces and nephews. Retired from White Castle after 29 years of service. In lieu of flowers, send contributions to the United Heart Fund Association or Hospice at Riverside. RINEHART Kenneth A. Rinehart, age 82, of Grove City, passed away Thursday March 28, 2001 at Monterey Care Center. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Washington Grange, Roundtown Roamers Camping Club and was a WW II Veteran. Preceded in death by parents Florence and Harley Rinehart, first wife Lillie, brothers Harold (Goldie), Forrest (Marvene), Glenn (Marjorie), Raymond (Maxine) and Lloyd Rinehart. Survived by wife, Ethyl M.; daughters, Carol (Jim) Rich, Judy (Erle) Taylor, Myra (Bob) Magalich and Melissa (Paul) Schemrich; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Edwin) Swayer and Mary (Roy) Bethel; sister-in-law, Virginia Rinehart; many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, where funeral will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. Pastor Donald Allman officiating. SCHALLER Lola Irene Schaller, age 62, died Thursday, March 29, 2001 at her residence. Born March 28, 1939 in Wheelersburg, Oh. to parents Vancel E. and Hazel Ruth. Owner of Grandfather Clock Co. Preceded in death by brother Richard Ruth. Survived by husband of 43 years, Robert L. Schaller; sons, Mark W. (Tracy) Schaller, Steven R. (Kay) Schaller and Rob (Tonya) Schaller; 9 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (on US Route 62, * mile northeast of Hamilton Rd.), Gahanna, where a Celebration of Life will be held 9 a.m. Saturday March 31, 2001 with Pastor Kelly Keith officiating.
