GRAVES Mary Amelia Souder Smith Graves, age 85, of Canal Winchester, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 30, 2001. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a servant to the Lord Jesus Christ as she taught Christian kindergarten for 26 years at David Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had also taught at Gahanna Elementary. Many of her students are now prominent business and professional people. Member of David Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle, Come Double Organization and Southeast Council #6 Farm Bureau. Survived by loving husband of 21 years, Glenn W. Graves; children, Adel (David) Riegel, Worthington, Sandy (Bud) Miller, Westerville, David A.G. (Peggy) Smith, Canal Winchester, James W. Graves, Canton, Judith K. (Jan) Jobe, New Orleans, La., Jayne (Jim) Price, Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Riegel, Jennifer (Brent) Ingram, Katy Smith, Mark Smith, Lori (Jim) Gill, James (Renee) Graves, Cody Graves, Jenna Graves, Jennifer Jobe, Jessica Jobe, Jeffrey (Heather) Price, Jayme Price, Jody Price; 3 great-grandchildren; nephews, Bob and George Souder. Preceded in death by husband Thornton Smith and brother Walter Souder. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. GRIFFITH Harriette B. Griffith (nee Bellah) of Cleveland Heights, Oh., departed this life on January 14, 2001. GUALTIERE Jack "Hapyjak" Gualtiere, 33, of Columbus. Survived by wife, Denise; children, Anthony, Genevieve and Justin; mother, Irene; father, Tom; sisters, Lisa, Rayne and Missy; brother, Thom; nieces, Renee, Danielle, Alexis and Samantha; many relatives and friends. Member of Men's Senior Baseball League, playing for the Cubs. He coached Little League. Member Moose Lodge. Friends of Sawmill Baptist Church, 10635 Sawmill Rd. (Old), Powell, Oh. 43065, where funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment later. Johnson (W8CFG) Richard H. Johnson Jr., age 78, of Westerville, Oh., died Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at his home. He was the son of the late Richard H. Johnson and Dorothy Primm Johnson of Danville, Ill. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Opal Stafford Johnson; children, Richard (Suzanne) Johnson of Germantown, Tenn., Kathryn (Douglas) Hightower of Casa Grande, Ariz., Paul (Natalia) Johnson of Columbus, Oh., Georgia (Michael) Mahaffey of Gahanna, Oh., Mary Theurer Johnson (sister-in-law) of Chatum, NJ; sister, Sally Froman of Raliegh, NC and Mary (Richard) Angerer of Cockeysville, Md.; seven granddaughters, two grandsons, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brother Hubert P. Johnson and brother-in-law John W. Froman. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1947 from the University of Illinois. Retired from Bell Telephone Laboratories/Lucent in 1984. He was a veteran of WW II, served in the Pacific Theatre in the Signal Corps with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Member of Young Budd 171 American Legion. He has been a Ham Radio operator for 60 years with his call sign W8CFG. He is past president of the Columbus Ham Radio Club. Member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonel since 1988. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Westerville, Oh., where he was active in founding Cub Scout Pack 85, sang in the Choir and served on the finance committee. Friends may call at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH 43221 or Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 W. State St., Columbus, OH 43222-9988.

Jones Clifford S. "PaPa" Jones, 71, Sunday, January 28, 2001 suddenly and unexpectedly, OSU East. Trustee of the Jordan Baptist Church. Retired employee of DCSC with 30 years of service. WW II U.S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by wife Josephine S. Jones, parents Samuel C. Jones and Emma Winbush. Survived by children, Sounia (Keith) Ray, Clifford S. "Cookie" Allen, Dorothy (Charles) Rivers, Valena (Wayne) Allen, Veloris (Carlton) Edwards, Carlton C. (Daphne Magazine) Allen, all of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Alphonzo Winbush of Dover, NJ; sister, Signora of Cleveland, OH; sister-in-law, Mary Berger of NY; special aunt, Dorothy Abbott; special cousin, Francis Penn; and a host of other relatives and friends including, Harry Craig, Richard Johnson, Frank Hamm, Ocie Lipscomb and Ralph Warfield. KEITH Jack J. Keith, Sr., age 67, of Columbus, died January 20, 2001. Memorial Service 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2001, St. Mary Magdalene Church, Columbus.

KEMPTON Regena Fay Kempton, age 64, joined her son, Steve, in Heaven on January 31, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Stephen R. Kempton, parents John and Mallie Liles, sisters Blanche and Bethel and brother Eddie. Her life was dedicated to the children and grandchildren she loved so much. She will be deeply missed and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Kim (Greg) and Sherri; son, Darren (Kim); grandchildren, Shawna (whom she helped raise), Jonathan, Jessica, Randall and Amanda; great-grandchildren, T.J. and Kyra; niece, Cheryl Bush; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. KIRKBRIDE Meda O. Kirkbride, 104, of Columbus, Oh., formerly of Corning, Oh., died 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at St. Angela's Nursing Home, Columbus, Oh. Born April 16, 1896 in Jacksonville, Oh. Mrs. Kirkbride was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Corning, Oh. Survived by sister, Juanita Shepard of New Lexington; sister-in-law, Wanda Vess Weddle of Fredrick, Md.; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband George Kirkbride, 1967, parents Homer B. and Cora Jane Murphy Vess, daughter Phyllis Marie Kirkbride, January 21, 2000, son Rolland Kirkbride. LAMBERSON Mary A. Lamberson, 79, of Washington C.H., Wednesday, January 31, 2001. Survived by children, Ailiene Saunders, James Richard (Patty) Hargo, Melanie (Kimball) Pettiford, Michael (Sandra) Lamberson, all of Washington C.H., Mark (Sheila) Lamberson of Grove City; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service Saturday, February 3, 2001 at 10 a.m. in the WELLMAN-KINZER FUNERAL HOME, with burial to follow in Washington Cemetery. Friends call Friday 4-8 p.m.

LINDSAY Clifford Lindberg Lindsay II, 30, Rockbridge, Oh., died unexpectedly Friday January 26, 2001 at his residence. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday February 4, 2001 at the ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, Logan. Burial will be in the New Fairview Memorial Gardens, near Rockbridge, Oh. MANGE Carrie I. Mange, age 90, died Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Pete; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. McNAMEE Waneta Marie McNamee, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Preceded in death by husband Woodrow and daughter Shirley Ann Monaco. Survived by daughter, Jane (Jim) Garvey; sons, Woodrow McNamee Jr. and Larry McNamee; grandchildren, James (Dianna), Mike and Tanya Garvey, Tracy Garvey Smith and her husband, Jeff, John W. McNamee, Timothy (Marcie) and David Monaco; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Upton and Florence (Cecil) Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at the O.R. McNULTY Fredna M. McNulty, 72, died Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at The Arbors of Delaware. Born July 23, 1928 in Grove City to Ferdinand and Hazel Ruoff. Survived by son, Rev. Frederick (Linda) Robinson of Sarasota, Fla.; daughter, Susan Robinson of Park City, Ut.; grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Robinson; sisters, Martha and Drucilla Ruoff of Columbus.
