BANKSTON Ramona M. Bankston, age 44, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2001. Survived by father, LaVerne (Joan) Bankston, Sr.; mother, Sylvia E. Bankston; sisters, Ruby (William) Steele, Saundra and Earnestine Bankston; brothers, LaVerne R. Bankston, Jr., Alfonso (Karen) Bankston, children, Mona Milner and Delane Bankston; special friend, Michael Walker; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family of Ramona wishes to express their thanks and appreciation of H.C.R. Manor Care and to Heartland Health Care and Hospice for the many acts of care and comfort. Friends may call Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at the CROSBY FUNERAL HOME, 2323 E. Fifth Avenue, after 10 a.m., where family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon. BARR Julia Eleanora "Nellie" Barr, 80, of First Colonial Inn, Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of Baltimore, Md. and Columbus, Oh., passed away February 3, 2001 in Virginia Beach. Va. Mrs. Barr was born in Baltimore, Md. the daughter of the late Garnett and Eleanor Blackburn. She was the widow of Ronald R. "Ronnie" Barr. Nellie worked for Bell Telephone Co. both in Baltimore, Md. and Columbus, Oh. for over 28 years. She retired in 1981. In 1994 she moved to Virginia Beach to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters. Mrs. Barr was also preceded in death by her sister Catherine. Survivors include a daughter, Mary B. Finn of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters, Lucy A. Finn of Wilmington, N.C. and Molly E. Finn of Virginia Beach; two special friends, Jean and Joe Carson. A sincere thank you to all friends and co-workers for your support, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at H.D. OLIVER FUNERAL HOME, 2002 Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach, Va. by the Rev. Dr. Stanley Sawyer. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA, 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456 or Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.

BOOKOUT William "Bill" Yates Bookout, 81, of Circleville, passed away February 3, 2001. He was born March 27, 1919 in Cherryville, NC, the son of the late John and Minnie (Morrison) Bookout. He was preceded in death by his wife Marvene Shellhammer Bookout, parents, sister Maggie Dellinger, brothers Reverend Leslie, Lee, Irvin, Roy, Marvin and Russell. He is survived by daughters, Patricia (Dud) Morris and Sandra (Roger) Dresbach, all of Circleville; grandchildren, Derek (Donna) Morris, Lara Dresbach, Lisa (T.J.) Dresbach-Cline and Rom Dresbach; step-grandson, Casey Betts; great-grandchildren, Devin and Delisa Morris and Dalton Cline; sisters, Hattie Beatty of Hickory, NC, Iona Cope of Stanley, NC. Bill was retired from the Air Force with 30 years of service as a Chief Master Sergeant and was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Circleville, with Pastor Don Bachman officiating. Burial in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

BROWN Mary Ellen Brown, age 76, of Newark, February 3, 2001. Survived by son, Clyde J. Brown of Newark; daughters, Lois A. Brown and Brenda Brown, both of Newark; brothers, Klyde K. Williams of Newark; sister, Linda (Paul) McPeak of Newark; grandchild, Megan Ann Brown of Newark. Retired in November of 1991 from Columbus D.S.C.C. BURTON Donald G. Burton, 61 of Millersport, Oh., passed away Saturday, February 3, 2001 at his home. He was Co-Founder and Vice President of Burton Metal Finishing. He was a member of the Sportsman Club, Faternal Order of Eagles Aries #2801, The Etna Lions Club and NRA. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Burton; son, Robert (Jane) Burton of Johnstown, Oh.; step-children, Theresa (Donny) Frost of Thornville, Oh., Robert (Glenda) Frost of Grove City, Oh., Mark Nowlin of NC and Dave Nowlin of Ky.; four grandchildren, Blake Burton, Taylor Frost, Cory Nowlin, and Michael Nowlin; brother, Dallas (Marilyn) Burton of Grove City, Oh.; sisters, Doris Elkins of Fla., and Mary (Dave) Fail of Grove City, Oh.' many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was precede in death by mother Eleanor Wimer; father Lawrence Burton; step-father Clarence "Bud" Wimer and brother Robert Burton. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Baltimore, Oh., with Rev. William Snider officiating. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala. Friends may visit Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Fairfield County.

CAIN Stella Marie Cain, age 81, of Columbus, Saturday, February 3, 2001, Columbus Community Hospital. Widow of John Floyd- 2000. Survived by daughter, Frances Jean Valore, Alexandria, Va.; son, Gary (Kathy) Cain, Columbus; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Delia Castle- Ky. Preceded in death by son John Terry Cain- 1985; brothers and sisters Mabel Williamson, Opal Sadler, Sherman Preece Jr., Lowell O. Preece, John Preece, Emma Fannin, Virgie Fields, Frances E. CENCI Clarice E. Cenci, age 78, Friday, February 2, 2001, Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Retired from F.&R. Lazarus. Member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Preceded in death by parents Edward and Gertrude Sharfenaker; husband Pat Cenci; son Thomas Cenci; brother Ed Sharfenaker. Survived by daughter, Barbara Kilmurry; son, Charles Cenci; son-in-law, John Kilmurry; sister, Eileen Burns; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many close friends at Grovewood Place. Friends received Monday 4-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 6, 10:30 a.m., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Grove City. COLLEY Stanley "Tony" "Wahoo" Colley, 71, of New Haven, W.Va., passed away February 4, 2001 at his home. Survided by special companion, Nancy Powell; daughter, Toni Colley; son, Rusty Colley; sisters, Betty and Dick Walters, and Cheyene Colley, all of Columbus, Oh.; five grandsons, and four granddaughters. Graveside service will be conductd by the Rev. Joe Nunnuly, Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the New Lone Oak Cemetery in Pt. Pleasant, W.Va. GILL Joseph Arthur Gill, 75, of Springfield, Ohio, passed on to his Maker on February 3, 2001 at 10:30 p.m. in his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 25, 1925 to Oma E. and Fern K. Gill. He is survived by his ever-loving wife, Mary Ellen (Reynard) Gill; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephan and Lucinda Gill of Wooster, Ohio, Thomas and Rebecca Gill of Springfield and Ken Gill of Columbus; one daughter, Deborah Evilsizor; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Michael Benston of Abington, Maryland; one step-son, Donald Ehrle of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Joe spent most of his adult life in the field of education. He graduated from Otterbein College and Xavier University and did advanced studies at The Ohio State University School of Law and Franklin University School of Law. He taught at Mifflin Township High School in Franklin County, West Junior and Senior High Schools in Columbus, Franklin University and Wittenberg University. He was also associated with the New England Mutual Insurance Company in the Personnel Department in Columbus. He was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Springfield and a member of the Knights of Pythias, Ingomar Lodge 610. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force serving during World War II. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Jackson LYTLE & INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, NORTH LIMESTONE CHAPEL. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church with Rev. Thomas Heil officiating. The family ask that anyone wishing to, may send a contribution in Joe's name to First Lutheran Church or to the Knights of Pythias.

GORSUCH Gary D. Gorsuch, age 60, died suddenly Saturday, February 3, 2001 at home. Preceded in death by father Harold Gorsuch and grandson Todd Rhoades. Survived by wife, Esther; son, Michael Gorsuch; mother, Frances; brother, Rick (Paula) Gorsuch; sisters, Diane Gorsuch, Paula (Robert) Jenkins, Marla (Bob) Fowler; daughters, Connie (Terry) Holder, Sandy (Bob) Raby, Edie (Tim) Buckle, Robin (Tommy) Lewis, Rusty Walters; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren (of which he was like a "Dad" to Alyda and Jennifer); and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the JOHN QUINT & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, where Funeral Service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday. HARRIS Sarah Belle Harris, 78, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, February 4, 2001. She was a retired LPN after 40 years of service, and a member of the Wilson Avenue Church of the Nazarene. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold "Hal", parents Pearson and Marjorie Gilliland; and good friend, Susie Birmingham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lonnie Harris; was "Grandma Sally" to Erin, Bambi (Adam) Estep, Tiffany, Isiah, and Cory; great-grandchildren, Zane Morgan and Zoe Belle Estep. Her family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Ellis officiating. HUMPHREY Ralph E. Humphrey, age 70, of Deland, Fl., former truck driver for Borden Milk & Sanese Vending Co., Columbus Oh., died Friday January 26, at home. Mr. Humphrey was born in Columbus and moved to Florida in 1988. He enjoyed history, literature and fishing. He attended Ohio State University. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Henrietta; son, Ralph L. (Melinda) II, of Lewis Center, Oh.; step-sons, Daniel (Angel) Khoury, of Manteo, NC, Fred Khoury, of Elizabeth City, NC, Lynn Khoury of Fl.; sister-in-law, Fani McCoy of Naples, Fl.; nephew, Nole (Elaine) McCoy of Naples, Fl. Jones Gertrude Jones, age 80, passed Thursday, February 1, 2001 at the Wexner Heritage House. Retiree of Ohio State University after 27 years of service. Faithful member of Travellers Rest Baptist Church for over 31 years. Preceded in death by parents Will and Bell Loman Jackson, 5 brothers and 2 sisters and husband Howard Jones. Survived by son, John C. Jones; daughters, Joyce (Eugene) Ray and Janice (Rashid) Abdullah, all of Columbus, Oh.; grandchildren, Mark Jones, Valarie Warner of Columbus, April Cooper and Rhonda (Kendall) Clinton of Virginia Beach, Va., Jeff Kendricks, Timothy (Lori) Jones, Dana Jones, Kevin Chandler and Eric Grinston, all of Columbus, Oh.; 9 great-grandchildren; niece, Harriet (John) Hightower of Tex.; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hill and Juanita Shepherd; brother-in-law, William Jones; and a host of relatives and friends; special friends, Janie Turner, Martha Myers and Mary Wilkins. Survived by daughter, Patty Jones; grandchildren, Kim (Ty) Weber, Kris (Don) Ford, Stephen Jones, all of Grove City, Michelle (Bob) Handley of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Cole and Peyton Weber, Dalton and Cody Ford; sister, Irene Newhouse of Kirkwood, Mo.; daughters-in-law, Margaret Jones and Dottie (Harold) Doubles; two nephews and two nieces.
