Son of the late Anton and Anna Krenek, and also preceded in death by wife of 62 years Rose Krenek. Retired co-owner of Kenmore Bakery. Survived by daughters, Charlene (Nello) Spagnol and Sandy (M. Andrew) Ross; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Bulter, Alicia Herbert (fiance, Luke Busby) and twins, Justin and Ryan Kapp; brothers, George and James Krenek; sisters, Annie Heimann and Mary Jane Knoderer. KUHN Bessie N. Kuhn, age 96, of Pickerington, died Sunday, February 4, 2001, at Arbors East Care Center. She is survived by her son, Jack C. (Janet) Kuhn of Pickerington; grandchildren, Roberta (Daniel) Gaines of Groveport, Jack C. Kuhn II of Dublin, Thomas W. (Sandra) Kuhn, Betsy A. (William) Hinterschied, and Timothy A. (Lisa) Kuhn, all of Pickerington; great-grandchildren, Jake, Adam, Daniel, Nathan, Shawn, Jon, David, and Billy. Bessie was preceded in death by husband Harry S. PETRI Kenneth M. Petri, 93, of 1084 Bucyrus Rd., Galion, died at 2:36 a.m. Sunday, February 4, 2001 at his residence after suffering declining health. He was born August 8, 1907 in Galion to the late Edward W. and Lillian M. (Miller) Petri. He was married on March 6, 1938 to the former Hazel M. Nickols and she preceded him in death on January 28, 1991. He is survived by numerous cousins. Mr. Petri retired from his law firm, Petri & Keller, in Galion, in November of 1993. He was a former member of Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Arbitration Association and was a former Member of Council of Delegates. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the American Judicature Society, the International Committee of Law and Science, the Ohio State Bar Association, where he was on various committees: Executive and Sub-committees, Chairman of Legislative Screening Committee, Chairman of Professional Economics Committee, Special Committee on Probate Matters and the Negligence Law Committee, and was a Fellow and Trustee of the Ohio Bar Foundation. Mr. Petri was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1932-1938. He served as Chairman, House Banking Committee, Secretary, House Judiciary Committee, Member, Taxation Committee, and special committees investigating nudist camps, the milk code of Ohio and poor relief. He worked on numerous conference committees between the House and Senate. He was nominated as a candidate for U.S. Congress from the Eighth Ohio District and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the MARK A. POSTLETHWAIT June W. Postlethwait, age 80, of Columbus, February 2, 2001 at her home. Preceded in death by husband Ray C. Postlethwait (December 1, 2000); grandson Shawn W. POWELL Louis A. "Louie" Powell, age 72, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2001. He was born April 27, 1928, was a 1946 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, retired after 20 years of service with the City of Reynoldsburg Street Department, member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, a local square dance caller and 30 year member of Square Wheels Camping Square Dance Club. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Maggie Steen) of 50 years - anniversary July 30, 2000; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Denise Powell; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Rocky Hurst; grandsons, Brett Hurst and Edward Powell II.; granddaughters, Amanda Hurst and Sarah Powell; brother Rollan and Ann Powell Jr.; sisters, Eleanor Jean Young and Elizabeth Ann (Ted) Schenz; brother-in-law, John and Trudy Stephens of Florida and William Steen of Reynoldsburg; sister-in-law, Hettie (Steen) Minzer of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. SNODGRASS Martha Belle Snodgrass, age 101, of Columbus, died Friday, February 2, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Preceded in death by her husband Virgil Snodgrass. She is survived by her step-children, Darlene (Eugene) Sexton of London, Oh. and Leroy (Mary) Snodgrass of Lawrenceville, Ga.; granddaughter, Doris McElroy of Gibson, La.; special niece, Clara Mulhalland. Charter member of Frank Rd. Church of the Nazarene. SYKES Maxine Sykes, 74, of Williamsport, died Feb. 3, 2001. She was a retired rural mail carrier in Williamsport, member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James A. Sykes; daughter, Vicki (Bert) Pack of Pickerington; and son, Bruce (Cindy) Sykes of Clarksburg; grandsons, Matt (Jenny) Sykes, Mike Sykes, Alex Conrad, Brent Sykes and Bryan "B.J." Sykes; great-granddaughter, Hannah Sue Sykes; sister, Shirley Ann (Don) Streitenberger of Williamsport; brothers, Carl (Mary) Baker of Circleville and David (Judy) Baker of Mt. TEPPER Robert Tepper, age 73, of Columbus, died February 3, 2001 at the residence. WILLIAMS Mardo Williams, 95, died Saturday, February 3, 2001. He resided at the Village at Westerville Retirement Center. A former reporter for the Kenton News-Republican. Former business columnist for the Columbus Dispatch. He became a published author at the age of 90 with his books 'Maude (1883-1993) She Grew Up with the Country' and 'Great-Grandpa Fussy and the Little Puckerdoodles'. A member of Latham Lodge F&AM in Kenton, Oh. and the Scottish Rite. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Kay Williams of New York City, NY and Jerri (Fred) Williams Lawrence; grandchildren, Kathy (Tim) Israel and Tim (Amy) Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Holly, Dan, Christopher and Katy Israel and Jacob Lawrence; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Geneva Williams, sisters Mildred Perry, Beatrice Deerwester and Pauline Ansley.
