He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Rose, Columbus; daughters, Debra King Rose, Columbus, Pamela Coleman, McArthur, Carmen Coleman, Oklahoma City, Okla.; mother, Jessie Rose, Columbus; 28 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; step-children, Charles Fyffe, Rodney Fyffe, both of Chillicothe, Marvin Fyffe, Columbus, Mary Casto, Waverly, Sandy Mosteller, Latham, Oh., Diana Fyffe, Chillicothe; sister, Doris Cassadina, Columbus; brother, Robert Rose, Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Rose and father Roy Rose. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Lancaster, Oh. with Mr. Curt Mertz officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

ROSE MSgt. James H. Rose, U.S.A.F., Ret., age 63, of Bexley, Oh., died on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at the Veteran's Hospital, Chillicothe, Oh. Also retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Member of CAPA Ushers. Preceded in death by his parents William E. and Katherine Weatherington Rose and brother Benjamin Franklin Rose. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Anne Werrell Rose; children, Karin Rose, Sharin Rose, James Rose, William Rose and Lynne Rose; brother, William Edward Rose; sisters, Mary K. Rose, Gertrude Morrow and Gloria Floss; other relatives and many friends. Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, February 9, at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHPAEL, 5360 E. RYAN Francis B. Ryan, age 84, Sunday, February 4, 2001 at the Forum at Knightsbridge. Graduated from Aquinas College High School, Class of 1934 and Franklin University. Certified Public Accountant and resident partner of Campbell-Rose & Co. Past President of the Columbus Chapter of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and member and former Vice President of the Ohio Society of CPA's. Longtime and devoted member of Sierra International. Conferred by Papal Appointment to the Knights of the Order of St. Gregory in 1995. Trustee and Treasurer of the Bentz Foundation. Preceded in death by daughter Sally. Survived by wife, Lois (Ikey) Ryan; daughters, Mary Sue (John) Nantz, Patricia (Kurt) Ringle, Colleen (Ralph) Miller, Amy Ryan and fiancee, Jeff Bryner; son, Jack F. Ryan; son-in-law, David T. SIONS Carol Page Sions, 60, died February 4, 2001. Born in Rochester, Minn., she had lived in the Columbus area since 1960. Mrs. Sions was employed at Huntington Clothiers and was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Columbus. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura Jean and Jeremey Copas of Canal Winchester, Oh.; son, Michael David Sions of Columbus; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; parents, Dr. and Mrs. George R. Dochat of Akron; brothers, George R. Dochat, Jr. of Portland, Oreg., Kenneth E. Dochat of Akron and Thomas A. Dochat of Harrisburg, Pa. Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the BILLOW FAIRLAWN CHAPEL, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, Oh., with Pastor Richard R. Gordon officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park, Fairlawn. SMITH Jack A. Smith, 74, February 4, 2001 at Doctors Hospital North. Formerly had a watch repair business in downtown Columbus and served as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. Graduate of Grandview Heights High School. Veteran Army Air Corps, WW II. Survived by sons, Jack (Nerissa) Smith, Jeffrey Smith and Jim W. (Patti) Wilcox; granddaughter, Jan Smith. SNODGRASS Martha Belle Snodgrass, age 101, of Columbus, died Friday, February 2, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Preceded in death by her husband Virgil Snodgrass. She is survived by her step-children, Darlene (Eugene) Sexton of London, Oh. and Leroy (Mary) Snodgrass of Lawrenceville, Ga.; granddaughter, Doris McElroy of Gibson, La.; special niece, Clara Mulhalland. Charter member of Frank Rd. Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 West Broad St., Columbus, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. STEVENS Deborah S. Stevens, age 40, Sunday, February 4, 2001 at home after a brave battle with cancer. Kindergarten teacher at the Huy Elementary School. Graduate of Bowling Green State University and received masters degree from The Ohio State University. Survived by parents, Anita and Gordon Stevens; brothers, Jeffrey (Debbie) Stevens and Craig Stevens; sister, Diane Stevens; niece, Ashley; nephews, David and Matthew; grandmother, Leola Brown; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME BEECHWOLD-CLINTONVILLE CHAPEL, 4341 N. STICKNEY Mary Alice Stickney, age 81, of Columbus, Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert; daughters, Becky (John) Rayl of Upper Arlington, Oh. and Melissa (Mark) Scharer of Galloway, Oh.; grandchildren, Craig and Christine Rayl, Carl Smith III, Misty Smith and Joseph Scharer; other family and friends. Mary was a pre-school teacher for many years at Maple Grove UMC and a member of Charter Story League-Columbus Chapter. Survived by wife of 50 years, Hattie; sons, Del (Joan) Varney of Orient, Oh. and Ed (Terri) Varney of Fla.; daughters, Cinda (Rev. Tim) Thompson of Ariz. and Wanda (Rod) Smith of Columbus; grandchildren, Joanie (Daren), Charissa, Erin, Chad, Jonathan, Derrick, Eric and Sarah; great-grandson, Daren; sisters, Pearl Browning, Tennie Evans and Loretta Fostor; many nieces and nephews. WADE Dorothy Mae Wade, age 64, of Columbus, born in Henderson, Ky., went home to be with her Lord and Savior February 1, 2001 at 9 a.m. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ann Elizabeth Alexander. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Survived by husband of 45 years, Charles Edward Wade; mother, Arvena Craig of Henderson, Ky.; sisters, Ann Craig, Patricia Langley of Henderson, Ky., Mary Boyd of Indianapolis, Ind., Clara McLure of Newburg, Ind.; brother, David Langley of Henderson, Ky.; daughter, Doris Jean Hatchett (Chester) of Henderson, Ky.; son, Anthony Wade (Gloria) of Columbus; son-in-law, Robert Alexander of Columbus; grandchildren, Brian Alexander (Teresa) of Indianapolis, Ind., Christina Alexander of Columbus and Shawnna Hatchett of Henderson, Ky.; 1 great-grandchild, Dejahli Nicole Alexander of Indianapolis, Ind.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. WILLIAMS Perry C. Williams, Jr., age 77, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2001 at his residence. Born September 25, 1923, he was the son of the late Helen and Perry C. Williams Sr. Mr. Williams served in the Army during WW II, was a member of the American Legion and the American Motorcycle Association. Perry had retired from the City of Columbus Fire Department and was also a retired electrical inspector. He is survived by his daughters, Teri Johnson and Lisa (David) Waller, both of Grove City; grandchildren, Kevin DeWitt of Newport News, VA and Allie Patzer of Grove City; nephews, Patrick Lerum of Grove City and Dave Lerum of McArthur; former spouse, Lois Williams; many friends. Memorial service 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City with Pastor Tom Phillips officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until services start. Inurnment at Green Lawn Cemetery, 9:30 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2001. WRIGHT Paul L. Wright, age 59, of Reynoldsburg, Oh., died on Sunday, February 4, 2001 at his residence. Preceded in death by his wife Linda D. Randolph, father Daril Wright Sr. Survived by his mother, Kathryn Wright; brother and sister-in-law, Daril, Jr. and Kay Wright; faithful, beloved and longtime companion, Shelia Phipps; step-sons, Nicholas and Ronald Randolph; cousins and many friends. BALL Gerald Ball, 58, of Pataskala, died February 5, 2001 at Hospice of Genesis in Zanesville. He was born November 5, 1942 in Whitehall, the son of the late Kenneth and Marjorie (Geiger) Stonerock. Surviving are daughters, Melinda Key, Reynoldsburg, Mickey and David Bowen, Millersport; granddaughter, Kiley Key, Reynoldsburg; sister, Frances Chapman, Pataskala; nephews, Frank Chapman, Lancaster and Richard Chapman, Reynoldsburg; niece, Tara Stonerock, Kirkersville. A brother Michael Stonerock, is deceased. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 8 at the Kirkersville Chapel of HENDERSON, Van ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL SERVICE, 285 E.
