Schultz of San Gabriel, Calif. and Frank (Dorothy) Schultz of Jackson, Mich.; sister, Doris (William) Vogt of Butler, Pa.; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. BAYS (ARMENTROUT) Brandon Joseph "Cooby-Doo" "Daddy's Mokey Bandon" Bays, age 2, earned his angel wings on Thursday, February 8, 2001. Preceded in death by grandfather Robert Franklin Bays I and great-grandparents Ellie Jean and David Kenneth Staats, Thomas Joseph and Florence McMillan, Jim Bays and Ruth Ferguson. Survived by parents, Wendy Jo and Brent Todd Bays; brothers, Ryan Michael Liston, Robert Bays, II, Brent Bays, Jr., Joseph Bays; sister, Misty Lee Bays; grandparents, Joe and Brenda Armentrout of Columbus and Katherine Elizabeth Bays of St. Augustine, Fla.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2001 with Pastor Gary Cooper officiating. BOBO Bernice M. (Love) Bobo, age 82, of Athens, went to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2001 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens, after a brief illness. Daughter of the late Clifford and Edith Burleigh Love, she was born December 9, 1918 in Canaan Township, Athens County. Mrs. Bobo was a graduate of Rome-Canaan High School. A member of First Baptist Church, Athens, Athens Senior Citizens and was a lifetime resident of Athens. She worked for 33 years at McBee-Litton Industries before retirement. Bernice was proud to carry the Bobo name and be a member of the Bobo family. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Orville E. and Diana Bobo, Pataskala, Oh.; daughter-in-law, Shirley Bobo, Reynoldsburg; brother, Nolan Love, Athens; grandchildren and spouses, Keith (Yvonne) Bobo, Pataskala, Rodney (Kellie) Bobo, Columbus, Christy (Scott) McDaniel, Pickerington and Tami (Pete) Cassidy, Reynoldsburg; great-grandchildren, Cory, Holly, Kyle and Collin Bobo, Heather and Michael Cassidy and Marrisa McDaniel; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Daniel E. Bobo, 1980, sons Owen W. and James F. Bobo, brothers Harold and Stanley Love. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday 1 p.m. in JAGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, Athens by Rev. Paul Schwab with burial in Clarks Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. BROWN Doris McLean Campbell Brown, age 89, a lifelong resident of Columbus and Upper Arlington, died Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at The Forum at Knightsbridge. She was the widow of Dr. John Q. Brown, Sr. M.D. who died in June, 2000. She is survived by her son, John Q. Brown, Jr. and wife, Prasopporn Y. (Na) of Columbus; daughters, Marjorie M. Brown, Columbus, Julia G. Brown and husband, Mitchell Wagner of San Diego, Calif., Ann C. Brown and husband, Kenneth Holroyd of Athens, OH.; granddaughter, Kathyrn B. Holroyd. She was a graduate of Grandview High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master's degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University, where she was a member of honorary societies, Scholaris; Chimes; Mortar Board, and its alumni association for over 60 years; Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Alpha Theta, and its alumni association for over 60 years. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Twig #11, Children's Hospital, YWCA, and the Auxiliary of Columbus Academy of Medicine. She was a member and avid supporter of the Camp Fire Girls, Inc. and Camp Wyandot for almost 70 years and past President of Franklin County Council of Camp Fire Inc. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to Camp Fire Inc., 5350 East Livingston Avenue Columbus, OH 43227, in her memory.

CARROLL William M. Carroll, age 90, of Upper Arlington, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was the retired vice-president of White-Hayes Optic Company. William was a member of the Varsity "O" Association, The OSU Alumni Association, The Sphinx Honor Society, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, The Ohio State Board Opticiary for seven years, The Scioto Country Club, and the Old North High Club. While attending The Ohio State University, William was a letterman with the football team from 1929-1931. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise L. Lamb in 1980. William is survived by his sister, Elsa Jane Carroll of Chagrin Falls, OH; and a dear friend, Clara Rader; and many other close friends. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12Noon on Monday, February 12, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a funeral service will be held at 12Noon on Monday. Private entombment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery. CHELARIN John Chelarin, age 81, of Columbus, January 17, 2001. Veteran U.S. Army, WW II. Graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Oh. Fr. Remus Grama officiating. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh., 885-4006.

DAUM Merle Daum, age 68, died Thursday evening, February 8, 2001 at Marion General Hospital. He was a lifelong Marion resident. Born in Marion, March 14, 1932 to the late Ernest and Stella (Miller) Daum. He was a 1950 graduate of Harding High School. Merle was Vice President of his class, an outstanding athlete lettering in 3 sports in 3 consecutive years and named 1st team All Ohio football in 1950. He was recruited by Woody Hayes at Miami University and played for Freshman football coach Ara Parseigen. Merle was honored to be inducted into the Harding High School Hall of Fame in 1984. He served in the Army as a medic and paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He was a retired conducted after working 42 years with the Erie, Erie Lakawanna and Conrail Railroads. He had also worked for Whirlpool Corp., G & G Homes and McMillen Feed. Merle was of the Methodist faith, was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #7201, Marion and the American Legion Post #162. He is survived by former wife, Janet (Reece) Daum; son, Daniel (Teresa); daughters, Karen (Bryan) McCleary and Lora Oberdier; grandchildren, Amber and Ryan Daum, Kevin and Michelle McCleary and Brandon Zeller. He is also survived by special friend, Duff Troesch; several nieces and nephews; sister, Linda (Norman) Noyes. Merle was preceded in death by 3 brothers Richard, Paul and Jack Daum and by sister Virginia Neal. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2001 at the DENZER-FARISON-HOTTINGER FUNERAL HOME, Marion, where funeral service will be held Monday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dan Kiger officiating. Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery at a later date. DEIBEL (KREUTLER) Jeanette M. Deibel, age 84, Thursday, February 8, 2001, Grant Medical Center as a result of a auto accident. Avid card player. Member of the Forever Young Club at St. Mary Church, Groveport and the Christ the King Senior Citizens. Preceded in death by parents Joseph (Vernes) Weldon, 1st husband J. Carl Kreutler, 2nd husband Richard H. Deibel. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Mary Ann) Kreutler; daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Edward) Schneider of Troy, Mich.; grandchildren, Greg (Renee) Kreutler, Lee Ann (Darren) London, Jennifer of Rochester, Minn., Christine, Carolyn and Eddie Schneider, all of Troy, Mich.; great-granddaughter, Alex Kreutler; brother, Richard (Madonna) Weldon of Ft. Myers, Fla.; step-children, Robert Deibel, Dorothy Byrne, Barbara Howiler, Diane Knipp; 20 step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. EBERTS Walter P. Eberts, 91, of Columbus, Oh., died 5:30 a.m. Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Oh. Mr. Eberts was born September 10, 1909 in New Straitsville, Oh. He was a coal miner and an employee of Ohio Auto Parts. Survived by wife, A. Rosalie Eberts of Columbus, Oh. Preceded in death by parents Harvey and Eva Savage Eberts. No calling hours will be held. Graveside service 10:30 a.m. Monday February 12, 2001 at New Straitsville Cemetery, New Straitsville, Oh. Arrangements by ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 304 Mill St., New Lexington, Oh.

FIRESTEIN Lee Lieberman Firestein, of Columbus. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Ben Z. Firestein, sister and brother-in-law Florence and Martin Lazear, brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Shirley Lieberman, sister-in-law Sadie Lieberman and niece Sharon Kessler. Survived by brother, Ben Lieberman of Cincinnati; sister-in-law, Eleanor Firestein of South Bend, Ind.; nieces, Jerilyn Wolman of Columbus, Rose F. Firestein and Janice Firestein of N.Y. and Judy Shroyer of South Bend, Ind.; nephews, Terry Lazear of Columbus, Kenneth Lazear of Denver, Peter Firestein of N.Y. and Sidney Lieberman and Fred Lieberman of Cincinnati; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. GABBERT Wayne E. Gabbert, age 68, died February 8, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was a retired Operating Engineer. He is survived by his wife, Ollie Mae; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Lisa Gabbert, Timothy and Tracie Gabbert; daughters, Lisa Gabbert and Brenda Quinn and her husband, John; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Gabbert; step-daughter and son-in-law, Rita Lynn Waldrop and husband, Lonnie; brothers-in-law, Clinton and James Rose; sister-in-law, Evelyn Runyon; mother-in-law, Mary Rose. GRAY Helen Louise Martin Gray, age 85, of Piketon, Oh., formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at the Pleasant Hill Manor Nursing Home in Piketon, Oh. Mrs. Gray was born March 2, 1915 in Fayette County, Oh. and was the daughter of the late Masi and Ida Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husbands Elmer Rinehart and Russell Gray. Her survivors include her children, Stanley (Mary) Rinehart of Orange County, Calif., Paul (Pearl) Rinehart of Latham, Oh., Patrick and Howard (Clara) Rinehart, both of Columbus, Lawrence Rinehart of Wilburn, Ar., Floyd (Evelyn) Rinehart of Peebles, Oh., Fred (Cindy) Rinehart of Columbus, Earl (Nancy) Rinehart of Ft. Smith, Ar., Elmer Rinehart of Buckeye, Ariz., Wilbur Rinehart of Norwalk, Calif., Ellen (David) Hensley, Cathy Parthemore and Elizabeth Hall, all of Columbus; sister, Eleanor Cornell of Columbus; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2001 at the RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 W. Broad St., Columbus, with Pastor Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. GREEN Pauline Green, 91, of Johnstown, died Thursday, February 8, 2001 at Northview Senior Living Center. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2001 at CROUSE-KAUBER FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown with Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Mrs. Green was born February 4, 1910 in Johnstown to the late William and Della Boston Clayton. She was a member of the Johnstown Eagles. She is survived by a daughter, Betty (Wayne) Bryant of Sun City, Calif.; 1 son, Jack (Suzanne) Pitzer of Johnstown; a daughter, Judy (Ed) Crockett of Johnstown; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Mike Wright; and a very close friend, Ann Michaels. Preceded in death by her husband William E. Green, 1 sister, 1 brother and 2 grandchildren. Family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
