GURNEY Robert H. Gurney, age 81, Tuesday, February 13, 2001, formerly of Mansfield, Oh. Mr. Gurney retired after owning the Garber Insurance Co. in Bellville, Oh. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Kay; daughters, Linda (Sterling) Roberts, Carol Kay, Sharon (Stephen) Ford, Leann Gurney, Pamela (Kenneth) Brown; grandchildren, Sterling and Timothy Roberts, Miranda Howes, Michelle and Daniel Ford, Jacob, Zachary and Logan Brown. HINKLE Billy Ray Hinkle, age 50, formerly of Grove City, passed away Friday February 9, 2001 at his home in Wellston, Oh. He was retired from Conrail and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietname War. Preceded in death by father Preston Hinkle, mother and step-father Billie June and Victor Keaton. Billy is survived by his sister, Vickie Keaton; niece, Andrea Johnson; nephew, Austin Massie, all of Wellston; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His family will receive friends Friday, February 16, 2001 from 11 a.m. to 12noon at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City. A graveside service will follow at Grove City Cemetery.

HIXON John "Bill" Hixon, age 27, of Grove City, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2001 at his residence. Arrangements are being completed with MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Grove City.

HOSKINSON Kenyon Hoskinson, age 82, of Columbus, Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at The Ohio State University Medical Hospital. Employed by Krieger Ford for 45 years. Preceded in death by wife Lillian J., brother Joseph, sister Dorothy Snyder. HUNTER Norma B. Hunter, 94, of Glouster, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at The Laurels of Norworth Nursing Home, Worthington. Born June 29, 1906 in Glouster, Oh., the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and May Bryson Noon. Jackson Kenneth P. Jackson, age 87, of Gahanna, died Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital. Member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. KING Richard C. King, age 68, Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West. Preceded in death by parents Homer and Aletha King and brother Charles R. King. Survived by wife, Charlotte (Peters) King; children, Robbin Marie (Jimmy) Newlyn, Richard (Diana) King, and Michael (Michelle) King; grandchildren, Melissa and Susan Marie Newlyn, Heather Nichole King, Timothy Lee, Ronnie Smith, and Andrea Paige; sister, Mary Green; nieces, nephews and friends. LEINHEUSER Ralph J. Leinheuser went to be with Our Lord on his birthday, February 11, 2001. He was 77 years old. He was a 1942 graduate of Rosary High School. He attended Franklin University for 3 years. From 1942 to 1946 he served in the U.S. Navy with Duty on the U.S.S. Omaha Cruiser during WW II. He was the Superintendent of Albers, a division of Colonial Stores Inc. After Colonial Stores moved their warehouse to Atlanta, he worked for Merchandise Warehouse and finished up his working career at Hewlett Packard when he then retired. He was a 45 year member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. Ralph directed the church choir at St. James (replacing Fr. Kalaf) for 3 years. He was actively involved with the Variety Show as their pianist. He volunteered at the St. James the Less Food Pantry and the Director of Christopher House ministry for over 10 years, sending prayers all over the world. He also had membership with AMVETS Post 89. He was a songwriter, pianist and a lover of Big Band music especially Count Basie. He was strong in his Roman Catholic faith. He was a dedicated father and grandfather, friend and neighbor. He is survived by son, James C. Leinheuser; daughter, Elissa A. "Libbi" (Farris) Wilhite; granddaughters, Andrea Fox of Auburn, Calif. and Amanda Fox of Ukiah, Calif. Surviving sisters, Genevieve (Paul) Nordman, Dorothy Weber; sister-in-law, Marge Leinheuser. He is preceded in death by parents Prof. I.A. and Genevieve Leinheuser, sister Rita Leinheuser, brother Vincent Leinheuser, nephew and God son Terry Leinheuser, brother-in-law John Weber. Charles Rader officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Mr. Loughman, a member of Faith United Methodist Church, died February 14, 2001 at the Newark Healthcare Centre. He was born April 5, 1922 in Newark, Oh. to the late Albert M. and Margaret (Oatman) Loughman. Mr. Loughman retired January 1, 1977 from the Ohio Department of Transportation where he had been a Traffic Engineer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Air Corp., having served during WW II. Surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Forrest and Dianne Loughman, Newark; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Loughman and Mila Loughman, Newark. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Earl, Howard, Albert and Charles Loughman and by a sister Grace Lake. He was a self employed painter. He is survived by his parents, Arthur "Mike" and Derinda J. MATHEWS Thomas Dean Mathews, Sr., 83, of Columbus, passed away Monday, February 12, 2001. He was a WW II Navy veteran serving in Iwo Jima and a retired IRS auditor with 30 years of service. Tom was also an avid golfer and loved nature and music. His favorite pastimes were reminiscing and making people laugh. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Mary (Minner) Mathews; son, Thomas D. Mathews, Jr. of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Osborne of Owingsville, KY; grandchildren, Mandy and Mark Osborne also of Owingsville, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Sue Mathews of Athens; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Retired employee after 30 years with the Dept. of Youth Services, State of Ohio. Veteran of the Korean War. Faithful member of 3764 V.F.W. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Shirley; children, Philip (Michelle), Kameron J., Kimberly A., Keely J., and Kiere; foster children, Geraldine Morton and Sally Brooks; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and his brother, Jerry Crayton; many other relatives and friends and cousins survive.
