Hixon, half-sister Johanna "Dee" Stroup. Survived by mother, Debra (Daryl) McKay of Bloomingburg; aunts, Tina (William) Broyles of Pleasant Plain, Jodi (James) Aebi of Okla.; uncle, Steven (Molly) Mickle of Bloomingburg; cousins, Misty and Jared Penrod; and many other relatives and friends. HOFFMAN Wayne Eugene Hoffman, age 81, of Hilliard, Thursday February 15, 2001 at Doctors West Hospital. Preceded in death by wife Hazel, daughter Sandy Clay, grandson Keith Brown, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Retired from Conrail after 34 years of service. WW II Army Veteran. Survived by son, Richard (Jerry) Hoffman; daughters, Delores Brown, Linda (Ralph) Berry, Nancy (John) Murphy; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and a host of friends. HUVER Gertrude Teresa Huver, age 89, of Columbus, Thursday, February 15, 2001. Born December 30, 1911. Made first profession in 1931 and final vows in 1934 at the Carmel in Loretta, Pennsylvania. One of six who founded the Carmel of Mary Immaculate in Columbus in 1947, she served as the community's subprioress from 1956 to 1968 and third councillor from 1968 to 1975. Moved to the community's retirement home, Maris Stella in Fla. in 1982 and retured to Columbus in 1991 when the community was officially suppressed. Survived by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Huver (nephew); Catherine Huver and June Love (sisters-in-law), all of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Preceded in death by parents Albert S. Huver and Teresa H. Dillon Huver Love, sister Bernice Huver, brothers Albert Huver, George A. Huver and half-brother Robert J. Love. Jones Margaret Lorraine Platt Jones, age 78, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, died Friday, February 16, 2001 at Kobacker House. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Haydn Jones, in 1997 and parents Edward C. and Mona Platt. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Lowell Kreeger of Flemington, NJ; son and daughter-in-law, Evan and Pamela Jones of Columbus; grandchildren, Scott and Meredith Kreeger and Emily, Caitlin and Ronald Adam Jones; sister, Ruth Myers of Lebanon, OH; brother-in-law and his wife, Richard W. and Carolyn Jones of Austin, TX; several nieces and nephews; and loving care-giver, Leean Heifner. She was a graduate of West High School, 1939 and Ohio Wesleyan University, 1943, and a former teacher in Pioneer, Oh. Past President of the Hilltop Lion's Club Auxiliary, longtime volunteer at the Columbus Area Community Mental Health Center. She was a member of Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church, Scioto Country Club and Alpha Xi Delta Mother's Club. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2001. Rev. James A. Stuckey officiating. JORDAN Virgil Jordan died Wednesday morning at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Oh. He was born September 18, 1921 in Replete, W.Va., a son of Charlie and Blanch Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (February) Jordan; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Fran Jordan of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Howard Reeves of Swansboro, N.C.; 7 grandchildren; 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by son Layne Elliot Jordan, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Jordan graduated from Sutton High School, Sutton, W.Va. and West Virginia Wesleyan College at Buckhannon, W.Va. He served 5 years in the Marine Corp during WW II. He retired from Columbia Gas Co. after 36 years of service. Viewing will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 18 at the KELLER FUNERAL HOME, Dunbar, W.Va. with the funeral immediately following at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Cunningham Memorial Park at St. Albans.

KINCAID Ruby Pearl Kincaid, age 92, of Grove City and a former longtime resident of West Virginia, went to be with her Lord on Thursday February 15, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She was a member of the Nellis Wesleyan Church. Ruby was a devoted wife to the late Lakin Kincaid. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter Nancy, parents Frank and Mamie Bias, sisters Lillian King and Kathleen Scott, brother Kenneth Bias. Survived by sons, B.R. (Wanda) of Williamson, W.Va., Basil (Joyce) of Grove City, Oh. and Charles (Nadine) Kincaid of Owosso, Mich.; loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and loving great-granny to 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Easter of Fla., Essie Scott of Columbus, Oh., Frankie Harmon and Demetra Hill, both of W.Va.; brother-in-law, Milam King of W.Va.; several nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday 5-8 p.m. at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, Oh. KRAMER J. Daniel Kramer, 57, died February 14, 2001. Survived by wife, Beth Ann (Schwenke); sister, Barbara (Robert) Walz, Columbus; nephew, Mark (Michelle) Dobson, Westerville; niece, Danielle (Craig) Downey, Union City, Ind.; half-sisters, Inez (John) Frey, Marysville, Oh., Katherine Beachy, Glendive, Mt., Emma (George) Miller, Goshen, Ind. and Frances Hostetler, Black Canyon City, Ariz.; grandnieces and nephews, Meghan and Hayden Downey and Luke Dobson; beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Todd and Sharon Schwenke, Belton, Tex. Preceded in death by parents Irene T. Kramer and J.D. Kramer, half-sister Mary Sawyer and half-brother Eli Kramer. CEO, Olentangy Productions, Inc., 1982-1999. Logsdon, age 63, of St. Louisville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2001 at the Newark Chapel of HENDERSON, Van ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL SERVICE, 59 N. 5th St., Newark. LUKE Richard "Dick" Luke, born 12/12/38, passed away 2/16/01 at 10 a.m. at his residence after an extended illness. Member of Tri-Village Church of Christ, Pataskala, Oh. A U.S. Army (Special Forces) Veteran. Retired from Timken Co. (Columbus Division). Survived by wife, Judith D.; son, Michael (Cindy); daughter, Kathi (Jim) Mason; brothers, Donald (Shirley) and James; sisters, Edith (Dick) Cobun and Mary (Dexter) Elliott; grandchildren, Jamie, Rocky and Carmen; many nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by parents John B. and Maude M., sisters Esther Charlton and Edna Whitesell, brothers Clarence, Charles and John. Cremation. MANNING Fr. Robert T. Manning, 75, of Dover, died Thursday, February 15, 2001 in Union Hospital, Dover. Born April 10, 1925 in Cincinnati, he was a son of the late Bernard and Theresa Stanton Manning. Fr. Bob graduated in 1943 from St. Charles Preparatory High School, Columbus and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Upon his discharge in 1945, he entered St. Charles College, Columbus and Mt. St. Mary of the West Seminary, Norwood. Fr. Bob was ordained to the priesthood on March 27, 1954 by Bishop Michael J. Ready of Columbus. He served as Assistant Pastor at Blessed Sacrament Church, Newark, St. Vincent DePaul, Mt. Vernon, St. Aloysius, Columbus and as Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia. He also served as an instructor at Bishop Ready High School. Fr. Bob served as Pastor of several parishes during his priesthood, namely, St. Therese, Wainwright, along with its Mission of St. Paul the Apostle, Midval, St. Brendan, Columbus, St. Francis de Sales, Newcomerstown and St. Elizabeth Church, Roswell. He retired in 1992 and resided at Sacred Heart Parish, New Philadelphia, until last spring. Survivors include a sister, Mary (James) Nelson of Baton Rouge, La.; nieces, Kathy (Louis) McKnight and Tracy (Kevin) Simpson; nephews, Fr. William Nelson, O. Praem., Robert (Sue) Nelson, Michael (Paulette) Nelson, Douglas (Susan) Nelson and Richard Nelson; cousins, Mary Catherine Kirken and Carolyn Kientz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 aunts Nell and Mary Stanton who reared him and Ann Kientz and by 2 uncles William Stanton and Howard Kientz. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, February 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third St. N.E., New Philadelphia with Bishop James A. Griffin of Columbus presiding. Msgr. James P. Hanley will be the homilist. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. There will be a reception following the committal in the church's St. Ambrose Hall. The body will lie in state Sunday, February 18, 2001, 5-9 p.m. in the church, where a vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. Donations in Fr. Bob's memory may be made to Sacred Heart School, 320 Fair Ave. N.E., New Philadelphia, Oh. 44663.

MASON Arthur M. Mason, age 80, passed away February 14, 2001. Member of Alkire Road Church of Christ and Northway V.F.W. Post 495. Preceded in death by wife Cecile Mason; brother Lewis; sisters Evelyn Petty and Pearl Welch. Survived by son, Art (Pat) Mason of Dublin; 2 grandsons, Lewis and Aaron Mason; sister, Delores Weethee; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CHAPEL, 1346 South High, Sunday 2-4 and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Minister Mark Bass officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery. McCLINTOCK Dorothy L. McClintock (Downey), age 80, of Columbus, died Thursday, February 15, 2001 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's. She had retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Preceded in death by husband Floyd A. McClintock, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Diana Brady of Orient; granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Tony Lorenz of Bellefontaine; nephew, Jerry Downey; sister-in-law, Joan Poorman. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 19 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service. McINTOSH Thomas C. McIntosh, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2001 after courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Margie; sons, Duane (Lin) and David (Sandy); daughter, Cathy (William) Frichtel; sisters, Carolyn Richmond and Lallie Fay Whisman; brother, John Black; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were held Wednesday, February 14, in Corbin, Ky.

OSBORN Walter Osborn, age 75, of Columbus, Oh., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 15, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East. He was a member of Walnut Heights Baptist Church and Local #57 Retirees Group. He had retired from Quality Park Products. Veteran U.S. Army serving during WW II, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Preceded in death by his step-son Jim Wingler and 3 brothers. Survived by wife of 18 years, Alice Osborn; son, Monte Osborn of Atlanta, Ga.; he also will be missed by step-children, Janice Sue (Roger) Foor, Ron (Linda) Wingler, Don Wingler, all of Columbus and Patty Wingler of Mich.; sister, Bertha Gloyd of Columbus; grandchildren, Jamie and Leisa, Vince and Debbie, Mike and Sherrie, Regina, Norm and Janelle, Mike and Melissa, Mike and Chrissy, Shawn and Jessica, Kyle and Jennifer, Josh, Kory, Eric, Laura, Heather and Joe; great-grandchildren, Chadd, Holly, Blake, Vanessa, Hunter, Jamie Lee, Cody, Danielle, Timothy, Kirsten, Sage, Marissa and Isaac; nephew, Robert (Charlotte) Osborn; nieces, Carla (Pete) Smith, Susan (Gary) Mattevi and Terri (Dave) Saffell; great-nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 18 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. Entombment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Walter was very much loved and will truly be missed.
