Employed by ARC Industries of Franklin County. Survived by sisters, Romona Sue (Doug) Hitchins, Columbus, Wilma Ann Rohl, New Albany, Roberta Lynn (Michael) Yates, McArthur, Glenna Marie (David) Miller, Gahanna; brothers, James Robert (Susie) Cox, Conway, S.C., Charles David (Linda) Cox, Wilkesville, Jerry Walter (Dee) Cox, Marengo; nieces, Chizuko Miller and Cindy Cox; nephews, Joey and David Miller, Chad Cox; many other nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Cox Family Cemetery near Wilkesville. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (US Rt 62, * mile NE of Hamilton Rd.) and 6-8 p.m. Friday at GARRETT FUNERAL HOME, McArthur. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. DAVIS Thomas E. Davis, III, age 73, of Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday February 20, 2001. Preceded in death by wife Lee Outhwaite Davis. Survived by four loving and caring children and their families, Lucie and Ken Blumenthal of Columbus, Oh., Betsy and Ed Postlethwait of Houston, Tx., Cynthia and Jim Ferber of Agoura Hills, CA, Thomas E. Davis IV of Blacklick, Oh.; grandchildren, Betsy Eschenbrenner, Meredith and Jack Blumenthal, Teddy and Katie Postlethwait, Christopher and Samantha Ferber and Maggie, his beloved dog. He was a graduate of Ohio State University, 1949, member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, retired Vice President of State Savings Company, member of the University Club, Past President of Mercator Club and he enjoyed 30 plus beautiful summers on Grand Lake, Presque Isle, Michigan. Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2001 at SCHOEDINGER MID-TOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St. with Rev. Timothy Carberry officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday and following the service Friday. Private interment Green Lawn Cemetery. DIGGS William Walter Diggs was born in Anson County, N.C. to the late Cornelia and Tom Diggs on September 29, 1921. He departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2001 at OSU Hospital, where he was a former employee for 30 years. He was a veteran of WW II serving on the Engineer Aviation Battalion of the U.S. Army. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 48 years, Carrie E. Diggs; son, Gearl (Vanessa) Diggs of Mich.; daughters, Jennifer (Paul) Swails, Jeannette (Paul) Burks and Karen Tyler; grandchildren, Paul Swails II, James Swails, Patrice Swails, Lynnette and Paulette Burks, all of Columbus, Cimone Diggs of Mich.; brothers, Charlie Diggs of Wadesboro, N.C., George (Helen) Diggs of Kimball, W.Va.; sisters, Vera Parker of Cleveland, Oh., Arnetta Wallington of New York, Geneva Gaddy of Wadesboro, N.C., Eunice (Ellis) Ward deceased of Martinsville, Va.; brother-in-law, Frank (Helen) Ingram; special friends, Ambrose Brazelton, Greg (Sandy) Provo; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service Friday 1 p.m. at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, 858 E. Third Ave., where family will receive friends from 12noon until time of service. ENNIS Harry Ennis, age 63, of Galloway, Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at the Columbus Rehabilitation Center. Retired from Robert Shaw Control Co. Preceded in death by beloved wife Shirley. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Shelley Ennis; daughter, Anna Ennis; brothers and sisters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

FAIL Virginia P. Fail, age 70, of Grove City, died Monday February 19, 200l in Doctor's Hospital Hospital West. She formerly attended the First Baptist Church in Grove City, was a member and Past President of the PTA in the Southwest City Schools, and was a former volunteer in the clothing room, received the Volunteer of the year award at Monterey Care Center for sewing lap robes and made beaded and sequined calendars. She is survived by husband, Earl; children, Cynthia (Rex) Crossley, Clifton Fail, Jeffrey (Dawn) Fail; grandchildren, Michelle (Pat) Ropp, Steven Earl Fail, Myranda Leigh Fail; step-grandchildren, Rex Jr. and Scott Crossley, Tonya Owens; great-granddaughter, Emma Louise Ropp; step-great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kevin and Trenton; brother, Thomas (Helen) Perkins; sister, Amy Johnson; sisters-in-law, Betty (Gene) Long and Patricia Fail; brothers-in-law, Stewart (Patricia) Fail, Donald Fail; and many loved nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the service will be Friday 11 a.m. with Rev. David Berna officiating. FISH W. Richard Fish, age 87, of Columbus, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at Wesley Glen Health Care Center. A graduate of Miami University, Class of 1935. He retired from Uniroyal (formerly US Rubber Co.) after 42+ years of service. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Gladys Cain Fish, who died August 18, 1999. He is survived by his children, Ann (Herbert) Mills of West Worthington, E. Richard (Susan) Fish of Richmond, Va. and Karen Merle Fish of Torrington, Ct.; grandchildren, Lisa (Garland) Gould of Winter Park, Fla., Jennifer (Wayne) Appleby and Greg (Jennifer) Owens, both of Charlotte, N.C., Kimberly Fish of Richmond, Va., Lauren Bowden of Glen Allen, Va., Adam Mills of Greenville, S.C. and Amy (Todd) Campbell of Richmond, Va.; great-grandchildren, Ches Bowden, Christian Gould, Camille Appleby and Chloe Appleby; sister, Betty Kilpatrick of Troy, Oh.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh., 614-885-4006. Rev. Leonard Confar officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott, Ct. FLING Robert F. Fling, age 90, of Centerburg, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at home. He was born in Hocking County on September 15, 1910 to Clifford and Dora Fling. He was a retired school bus driver for 36 years, substitute mail carrier for 26 years in Centerburg and former owner of the Marathon Station in Centerburg. Preceded in death by parents, sister, 2 brothers, son Forest Roger Fling and grandson Robert M. Fling. Survived by wife, Opal Walker Fling; sons, Kenneth of Zanesville, Oh., Richard of Fla.; daughters, Jeanette Updike, Linda (Gordon) Houck, Phyllis (Jim) Sipes, all of Centerburg, Ruth (Jack) Welker of Mt. Vernon and Maxine (Clyde) Neighbarger of Utica, Oh.; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Dora Grove of Westerville; brothers, William Fling of Johnstown and Raymond Fling of Westerville; numerous nieces and nephews. FORD Roger Dale Ford, age 48, died 4:30 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2001 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., where he had been a patient for 1 day. He was born in Welch, W.Va. on October 10, 1952, the son of James Eugene and Lois (Gillespie) Ford. On December 18, 1998, he married Lisa M. Howell Hernandez, who survives. He was an electrical engineer for Wenger Temperature Controls of Columbus, Oh. being employed for 28 years. Surviving are his wife, Lisa of Paulding, Oh.; his mother, Lois Ford of Columbus, Oh.; 5 daughters, Amanda and Ashley Ford of Paulding, Oh., Mary Taylor, Patti Wissinger and April Pletcher, all of Columbus, Oh.; 1 son, Michael Ford of Columbus, Oh.; 2 step-sons, Derrick Hernandez of Paulding, Oh. and Joshua Hernandez of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father James E. Ford. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2001 at the DenHERDER FUNERAL HOME, Paulding, Oh. Rev. Keith Sarvre will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding, Oh. Calling at the DenHerder Funeral Home, Paulding, Oh. on Thursday, February 22, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. and on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. GORMAN Roger W. Gorman, 79, of South Solon, died February 11, 2001 in Zephryhills, Fla. Survived by wife, Jean (Rhanor) Gorman; sons, Richard W. (Rebecca) Gorman of South Solon, John D. (Ruth) Gorman of Summerford; grandchildren, Chelsea, Tucker, Katelind and Zachariah Gorman; brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Ruth Gorman of Jamestown; several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the EBERLE FUNERAL HOME, London with Rev. Robert Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Grape Grove Cemetery, Jamestown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

GRANT Ella Mae Grant, 83, of Londonderry, Oh., died at her residence. She was born May 11, 1917 in Floyd Co., Va., to the late Ezra C. and Minnie Smith Wickham. Surviving are sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Arthur Williams of Whittier, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Ella was predeceased by her husband Ed Grant, brother Robert C. Wickham, sister H. Pauline Wickham, 3 half-brothers and 1 half-sister. Mrs. Grant was a former member of the King Ave. United Methodist Church, Columbus, attended Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church (US Rt. 50). She had worked at National Electric Coil in Columbus and recently was a Realtor and Notary Public in Ross County, Oh. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Columbus. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

GUYER Richard A. Guyer, of 2642 Howell Dr., Bloomsburg, Pa., died Monday, February 19, 2001 at the Berwick Hospital Emergency Room. Born November 3, 1952 in Columbus, Oh., the son of Anna Boehm Guyer of Columbus and the late Rudolph Pete Guyer. V.P. for Deluxe Homes, Berwick. He graduated from high school in Columbus, Oh. Last 11 years at present address. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Yvonne Ackerman, they were married November 5, 1977; son, Ryan A. Guyer at home; 2 daughters, Yvette Guyer of Shenandoah, Pa. and Amanda Guyer of Frackville, Pa.; 2 grandsons; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dan (Kathy) Harden and Mary Jo Fowler, both of Columbus, Oh. and Sally Landenburg of Frisco, Tex.; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Service will be Friday 2 p.m. at RODGER T. BURNNELL FUNERAL HOME, Bloomsburg, Pa. Burial New Rosemont Cemetery. Memorial Service Saturday 2:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Church, 2364 W. Mound St., Columbus, Oh. with Fr. Mario Serriaglio, officiating.

HAGWOOD Mrs. Bertha V. Hagwood went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2001. Preceded in death by parents Frege and Octavia Tynes and brother Marvin Tynes. Survived by husband, Levi Hagwood; son, Marvin L. Tynes; daughters, Donna Hagwood, Joan Hagwood; grandson, Timothy Zack Mullins, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Wells, Bessie (Jerry) Anderson, Helen (Charles) Summers, all of Columbus, Oh. and Hazel Tynes of Rocky Gap, Va.; brother, Lee (Elizabeth) Tynes, George Tynes of Rocky Gap, Va. and James (Shirley) Tynes and Leonard (Shirley) Tynes, all of Columbus, Oh.; many nieces, nephews and friends. HERRON Victor Lawrence Herron, age 82, went home to Our Lord Jesus Monday, February 19, 2001 at Broadview Health Center. He was born December 28, 1918 in Edinburg, Pa. and was a 30 year resident of Upper Arlington, Oh. Former residences includes Mentor, Oh. and Downers Grove, Ill. Coast Guard veteran. Retired regional distribution manager of AM International. Preceded in death by mother, father and brother William Herron. Survived by loving wife, Jessie of 58 years; daughter, Diane and son-in-law, Russell Sipe; daughter, Kathy Talmage and son-in-law, Juan Talacon; son, James and daughter-in-law, Brenda Herron; grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Lisa, Eric, Sean, Rebecca, Christopher and Destanie; great-grandchildren, Tony, Victoria, Faith Nicole, Jullian, Brittany, Nathan, Matthew and Taylor; sisters, Winnie, Audrey, Olive, Yvonne; brother-in-law, Steve Illard; caregiver, Pam Stafford. There were many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Victor will be missed and always loved in our hearts. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER EAST. HIZEY Lois I. Hizey, 57, Sunday, February 18, 2001 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Oh., following an extended illness. 1962 graduate of Liberty Union High School. Following several years of service in the private sector, Lois was employed by the State of Ohio for 23 years, most recently at the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Survived by sister, Rita Hizey, Columbus, Oh.; brother, John W. Hizey, Lancaster, Oh.; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hizey, Lancaster, Oh.; nephew, Scott Hizey, Columbus; niece, Kristen Hizey, Lancaster, Oh.; grandnephew, Nathan Hizey, Lancaster, Oh. Preceded in death by her father Tazwell Hizey and her mother Audrey Irene Hizey.
