WILLIAMSON Dr. Debra Lynn Blow Williamson departed this life on February 21, 2001 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. after a lengthy illness. Dr. Williamson was an outstanding music director with the Columbus Public School System for 19 years. In her most recent position, she served as Area Music Coordinator. Debra was a member of the Hosack Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as the Magnification Leader, choir director and member of the Education Committee. Dr. Williamson was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Delta Kappa Education Fraternity, Ohio Education Association and the National Education Association. Her survivors include her loving husband, Ronald A. Williamson, Sr.; her son, Ronald A. Williamson, Jr.; her parents, Dell and William M. Blow, Sr.; her brother, William M. Blow, Jr.; an aunt, Mildred Barnes; father-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 special nephews, Corey and Quinton; a goddaughter, Christina Perry; 7 nieces and nephews; loving cousins and a host of dear friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Hosack Baptist Church, 1160 Watkins Road on Sunday evening at 5 p.m. Rev. Dr. Trent D. Hayes, presiding. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Ritual will take place at 4:45 p.m. preceding the service. Funeral service will be held at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Va. on Wednesday, February 28, at 12noon. Rev. Dr. William S. Hampton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory.

WILT Robert E. Wilt, age 68, passed away Friday, February 23, 2001. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by father Samuel Wilt. Survived by wife, Patricia Wilt; mother, Burnice Wilt; son, Doug (Lisa) Wilt; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Bentley; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Eugene, Olan, Donnie, Junior Wilt; sister, Jane Robison. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral service will be held Monday 12noon. Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. WISE Milton P. Wise, age 85, of Marysville, Ohio, died Friday evening at Memorial Hospital in Marysville. He was retired from Eljers Manufacturing after 37 years of service and was a life member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Jennette (Perry) Wise; children, Carl C. Wise, Vivian M. Heil, and Roy E. Wise, all of Marysville, Gary E. (Carol) Wise of Delaware; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Lorena Bame of Findlay, Oh. Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, Marysville with the Rev. Thomas Hackett officiating. Calling hours will be from noon until service time on Tuesday. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Friends may contribute to St. Johns Lutheran Church.

BAILEY James E. Bailey, age 59, Wednesday, February 21, 2001, OSU Hospital. Retired construction worker from Gutknecht Construction Co. Deacon and member of Praise Temple Community Church. Predeceased by father Robert Bailey, brother Ray Bailey, and sister Mary Bailey. Survived by mother, Rosa (Mitchell) Bailey; wife, Laura (Brown) Bailey; sons, Greg Bobby (Charolette) Bailey, Kelvin (Kelley) Bailey, and Lamar (Tiffany) Bailey; daughter, Johnnie (Alexis) Quesada;?Robert (Sandy) MacArthur; Theodore (Judy) Richard; and Abraham Bailey; sisters, Ida Mae (John) Brown, Carolyn (Vernon) Shivers, Thelma (Joe) Astin, and Pearl Bailey; 15 grandchildren; special niece, Peggy Winborn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie Brown, Annie Ayers, Lula (Dale) Waters, Gertrude McKinney, and Mary (Henry) Blanton; special friends, Charles and Shirley Blassingam; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. BETHEL Howard Edwin Bethel, age 71, of Hilliard, Saturday, February 24, 2001, at Doctor's North Hospital. Preceded in death by loving wife of 41 years Elsie, parents Clinton and Ruth Bethel, brother John Bethel, and sister Nellie Carroll. Former owner of Stan's Pizza in Hilliard. Honor graduate of Clarksburg High School Class of 1948, and Ohio University Class of 1963. Veteran of the Korean War where he received an Honorable Discharge from both the Army and Navy. Member of Hilliard American legion Post #614 and Hilliard Moose #2236. Survived by son, Dale (Nancy) Bethel, of Hilliard; daughter Lois Thompson, of Hilliard; brother-in-law Larry (Cindy) Pendleton of Ashville; grandchildren Christopher (Lisa) Bethel, of Hilliard, Kristen Thompson, of Ca., Betsy Thompson, of Columbus, and Michael Bowens, of Hilliard; brother, Charles (Esther) Bethel, of Ia.; sisters, Virginia Wolfe, of Columbus, and Nancy (Alfred) Horsley, of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. BOWLUS Lyndel M. Bowlus, age 80, Saturday, February 24, 2001, at her residence. A retired Beautician and member of Marabar Heights Garden Club since the 1960's. Dedicated to gardening and flower arranging. Member of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs. Proceeded in death by her parents, sisters, and a brother. Survived by husband Roger C. Bowlus; son Michael C. Bowlus; granddaughter Karin Ray; great grandchild Wesley Ray; brother Clifford Barger; nephews, Jack Long, William Barger; and nieces. DeWITT John Edward DeWitt, age 72, Friday, February 23, 2001, at his residence in West Liberty, Oh. Born in Champaign County, Ohio, 11-28-28, to Paul J. DeWitt and Marjorie Chatfield DeWitt. Graduate of Urbana High School in 1946, attended both the Urbana and Ohio State Universities, also particiapted in several activities within the county on a volunteer basis. Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Vice-President and Division Manager, Accuray Corp., where he retired in 1987 after 33 years of service. Survived by wife, Reba (Bowman) Dewitt, whom he married in Durham, N.C. on June 1, 1957; sons, John E. (Victoria) Dewitt Jr., Portland, Oreg., David C. DeWitt, Roswell, Ga., Stephen J. DeWitt, Seattle, Wa.; daughter, Jennifer (David) Maeser, Mercer Island, Wa.; sisters, Mary Ann (Kay) Roush, Urbana, Diana (Larry) Cousins, Prairie Village, Ks., Sherry Clastain, Columbus; grandchildren, Kendra and Chase Maeser. Preceded in death by brother Philip E. DeWitt. ELDER Barbara (Booth) Elder, of Boston, died Monday, February 19, 2001 at Braintree, Mass. Rehabilitation Hospital at the age of 64. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, she was a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1958. During her senior year she was president of the women's student association of the school. She was later president of the Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greater Boston. Before moving to Boston in 1999 for treatment at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, she was the Assistant to the Director of Planned Giving at Princeton University in Princeton, NJ. There she worked on the successful 250th Anniversary Capital Campaign and many other projects, including several writing and design assignments. In recent years she participated in a panel discussion on the survivorship and spirituality, a video, and other projects and studies at Dana Farber. She is survived by a son, Dana Elder and his wife Nancy Mehegan of Boston; a daughter, Allison Elder of Malden, Mass.; and the Rev. Dr. Frederick Elder of Taunton, from whom she was legally separated; a sister, Beverly Mykrantz of Mineral, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service on Saturday, March 10, 2001 in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 55 Coolidge Ave., Lexington, Mass., at 2 p.m. Mrs. Elder was a resident of Lexington for many years, attended the Church and had organized the antique show for the church. FAULHABER Frederick H. Faulhaber, 73, Dresden, died Saturday, February 24, 2001, Genesis Good Samaritan, Zanesville. Retired from Clow Water Systems in Coshocton. Veteran of the US Army WWII. Member of American Legion in Dresden, VFW, Amvets, 40/8, F.O.E., Prospect United Methodist Church and also attended the Dresden Church of the Nazarene. Survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Donald) BrinGardner of Pataskala, Cindy Kappes of Zanesville, Linda (Paul) Varney of Dublin; one son, Donald (Melissa) Faulhaber of Dresden; grandchildren, Anna (Bringardner) Robinson, Geno Bringardner, Jessica Bringardner, Jacob Bringardner, Sara Bringardner, Brent Kappes, Michelle Kappes, Brad Varney, Chris (Varney) Hutchison, Cory Varney, Carrie Varney, Paige Varney, Justin Faulhaber, Amber Faulhaber, Brianne Faulhaber; great-grandchildren, Emily Kappes and Kendall Hutchison; several Nieces and Nephews; sister, Patty Gonder of Zanesville; brothers, Ted and Robert Faulhaber, both of Zanesville. Preceded in death by his wife Vivian L. (Ferrell) Faulhaber in 1986, one sister and three brothers. FUNK Louise D. Funk, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, February 22, at Westminster Thurber Retirement Community. A long-time resident of Grandview. She was preceded in death by husbands Ken R. DeBeck and Lee W. Funk, Jr. and daughter Patricia Hall. Survived by daughter, Bette Dugger (Mrs. Dean A.), of Upper Arlington; grandchildren, Glen (Joan) Dugger, Karen (Whitney) Logan, Kathy (Bob) Crouch, Michael (Anna) and Colin (Charlotte) Ferguson, and Tracy (Tim) Parsley; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Woodson New of Ind. GAVIN Norma J. Gavin, 63, of Grove City, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001 at home. She attended Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church. Gavin; sisters, Louella (Robert) Stegner and Audrey (Donald) Brooker.
