JOHNS Glenn David Johns, age 62, of Groveport, Friday, February 23, 2001 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Attended Groveport 1st Baptist Church. Survived by wife, Roberta; daughter, Kathy (Scott) Chase, Reynoldsburg; sons, Kenneth A. Johns, Groveport, Keith D. (Lisa) Johns, Pickerington; 7 grandchildren. Friends may call at the MYERS FUNRAL HOME GROVEPORT Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and then at the Groveport 1st Baptist Church one hour prior to services Tuesday 11 a.m. Pastor John Hays officiating. LAKE John R. "Jack" Lake, Sr., 78, of Williamsport, died Friday, February 23, 2001 in Brown Memorial. Born May 25, 1922 in Circleville the son of the late Thomas W. and Theresa F. (Schlinkert) Lake. Jack was a lifetime member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, a charter member of the Father John S. Hannan Council #5297, Knights of Columbus and Past Faithful Navigator of the St. John F. Neuman Assembly #1761, 4th degree, Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of WWII, member of the American Legion, VFW, Soldiers Monumental Society and Charter member of the NFO of Pickaway County. He was retired after 27 years from E.I.Dupont, was active with the Dupont Retirees and was a volunteer for the Pickaway County Childrens Services. He is survived by children, Rosalie Moore of Culpeper, Virginia, John (Shirley) Lake Jr., Karen (Scott) McFarland and Peg (Robert) Burton, all of Circleville, Mary (Charles) White of Hays, N.C., Ralph (Cherye) Lake of Circleville and Betsy (Terry) Hupp of Kingston; 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; aunt, Claire Weinert of Hampton, Va. and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Stephen Krile celebrant. Burial will follow with military honors by the American Legion in St. Josephs Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the MADER-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Circleville. The Rosary service will be 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Josephs Church Renovation Fund, 134 W. LARSON Roger L. Larson, age 61, Saturday, February 24, 2001. Active with 4-H. Union Rep with UAW #969 for 30 years. Retired from Navistar. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Lynda; daughters, Kathy (Michael) Kreuz, Sherry (Scott) Jerome, Terri (Brad) Terry; grandchildren, Bradley, John, Sara, Joshua, Nathan, Holly and Catie; sister, Dixie (Robert) Reid; brother, Robert (Diana) Larson. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. LAW Daphne C. Law, born February 25, 1913, died February 21, 2001. Survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Bill) Willis; grandchildren, Lynne (Martijn) Steger and Jeff (Kathy) Willis; and three great-grandchildren. Lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Beckley, W. Va. and associate member of North Broadway United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley Glen on Sunday, March 4, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Friends who wish may contribute, in her memory, to the Wesley Glen Charitable Care Fund, 5155 North St., Columbus, OH 43214. LAWSON Thomas W. Lawson Jr., of Columbus, died Sunday, February 25, 2001. A born again believer who is now spending eternity in heaven. He had retired from D.C.S.C. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 3rd Army under George Patton. Member of the Eastanallee Baptist Church, Athens, Tenn. Preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Thomas W. Lawson Sr., sister Jeanette Killebrew, brothers Donald Lawson and Leonard Lawson. Survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Dr. Thomas W. Lawson III and his wife, Cynthia and Patricia Pollock and husband, Ed; grandchildren, Sarah Jo Lawson and Joseph and Michael Younkin; and many other relatives and friends. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where services will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Private Graveside Services Wednesday 11 a.m. at Asbury Cemetery. MARCUM Shangri-La M. "Tudy" Marcum, 57, of Grove City, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 in Doctor's Hospital West. She was a former owner of the Oak Grove Tavern. She is survived by son, John S. (Teri) Hamilton; daughters, Rondha (Randal) Krack and Candy Stevens; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Bonnie Hamilton and Ramona (Randy) Spencer and former husband, Ronald Hamilton; nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where service will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. Rev. Steve Beck officiating. MILLS Patricia L. Mills, 55, of Williamsport, died Sunday, February 25, 2001, at her residence. Born February 14, 1946, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of Gay and Zula (Hall) Borders. Member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Mt. Sterling. Preceded in death by her father (Aug. 15, 1998). Survived by husband, Arlie; son Arlie (Clara) Mills Jr., Thornville; grandson, Arlie III; mother, Zula Borders, Williamsport; brothers, Larry (Barbara) Borders, New Hampshire, and Jack (Megan) Borders, Long Island, N.Y.; sisters, Janet Marcello, Circleville, Alice (Mike) Pelfrey, Mt. Sterling, and Mary Borders and Robert Bowe, Columbus; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross will officiate with the interment to follow in Obetz Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling, from 5-8 p.m.

MILLS Patty Mills, 68, of Columbus, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 in Columbus West Park. She received a Bachelor of Science and Education and a Masters of Arts from The Ohio State University. She was a retired school teacher with the Columbus Public Schools and was an owner and groomer of Standard Breed Horses for 30 yrs. Preceded in death by parents Lawrence E. and Freida (Munsch) Mills. Survived by brother, Lawrence C. (Teresa) Mills; nephews, Jeffrey Mills and Michael (Ursula) Mills; niece, Myree Mills; great-niece and nephew, Alaina and Cayman Mills. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where service will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. MORGAN John "Jack" A. Morgan, age 75, entered into eternal life on February 23, 2001 after a very courageous battle with leukemia. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Life member of The American Legion. Formerly of Westerville, Ohio and a graduate of Westerville High School. Jack was a member of Lions International for 48 years, memberships included Jackson, Lancaster and Westerville Clubs. He was employed by Cussins & Fearn, Buckeye Mart for 25 years, Roger DeVille Construction Company, Altman Company and leasing for fiesta Hair Fashion and Christine's Styling Salons. He was an avid football fan (Ohio State & Notre Dame). The world is a better place because of his presence as he touched the lives of many. Born in Columbus, Ohio on November 8, 1925 to the late Wilbur A. and Helen (Allis) Morgan. He is preceded in death by brother Wilbur "Bill" Morgan. Survived by loving wife of 31 years, Doris; daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Brian Bumgardner; granddaughter, Kassi; grandson, Ian of West Bloomfield, Michigan; step-daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Brian Sullivan; grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Nicole of Gahanna; brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Shirley Morgan of Joliet, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Richard "Dick" Hitt of Westerville; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 7-9 p.m. where service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with visitation one hour prior to service. MOULTRY Cynthia Lee (nee Moore) Moultry, 54, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She worked for Africentric Personal Development Shop (A.P.D.S.), Nguzo Saba Institute, and worshipped at New Covenant Believers Church. Preceded in death by mother Mary Elizabeth and brother Craig Earl Moore. Survived by four children, Jeaneen (Wendell) Hooks, Tonia Moultry of Columbus, Talaya Moultry, Atlanta, Ga., Craig Moultry, Harrisburg, Pa.; former husband, Murphy Moultry, Mansfield, Oh.; father, Cottrell Moore Sr., Galena, Oh.; sister, Sharon Moore, Galena, Oh.; brothers, Cottrell Moore Jr., Dublin, Oh., Ward (Orpah) Moore Sr., Massilon, Oh., Reginald (Brenda) Moore Sr., Freemont, Calif, Tyrone (Stacey) Moore Sr., Pleasanton, Calif; six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. MRAZ Marian V. Mraz, age 88, of Upper Arlington and formerly of San Pedro, California until 1980, died Friday, February 23, 2001 at First Community Village Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Master Sergeant John P. Mraz, who died in 1964. Also, preceded in death by her brothers, Dilver B. and James Herbert. She is survived by her nieces, Carol (William) Shingler, Blue Rock, OH, Karen Herbert (Perry) Zakutney, Daphne, AL; nephew, William Bradford (Jo) Herbert, Livermore, Calif.; several great nieces and great nephews. She was a WAC during World War II, and an honored participant of the Manhattan Project, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring in 1958. Private interment Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road.

SAULS Dorothy L. Sauls, age 72, of Worthington, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the Arlington Court Nursing Home. She retired as a legal secretary for Arter and Hadden Attorneys after 38 years. Preceded in death by her parents John and Alma (Grambling) Lawhead; brother George Lawhead and brothers-in-law Earl Hall and James Clark. Her survivors include her children, Sharon (Louis) Gerber of Worthington, Harry (Deb) Sauls of Wilmington, NC and Jeff (Brenda) Sauls of Hilliard, Oh.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Hall of Palm Bay, Fla. and Virginia Clark of Sunbury, Oh.; nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington. Pastor Tim Rohrbacher officiating. A private family interment will follow in Blendon Central Cemetery. SEIMER James A. Seimer, 80, of Grove City, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001 at Doctors West Hospital after having a stroke. He was born Dececember 19, 1920 in Stoutsville, Oh. to the late Omer F. and Edith M. Seimer. Jim was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran with the 759th Bombardment Squadron. He retired from Vory's Brothers Sales Dept. in 1987. He also worked at the Scioto Downs dining room as a maitred' for 20 years and enjoyed his weekends as a auctioneer. Jim was a 48 year member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church. He also held memberships in the American Legion Post #0164, Harrisburg VFW Post #11208, Harrisburg K of P, Sherman Lodge #470, Grove City Lions Club and Grove City Elks Lodge #37. He helped to organize and coach little league in Harrisburg in 1960. Jim was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor L. (Dechert) Seimer; sons, J. Michael (Sherry) Seimer DVM, and William E. (Chris) Seimer; grandchildren, Kimberly, Katherine, Todd and Kasey Seimer; sisters, Jean Bach, Washington Courthouse, Irene Wilson, Circleville, Mary Anderson, Grove City; and brothers, Richard (Ruth) Seimer, Circleville, Frank Seimer, Circleville, George (Wanda) Seimer, Kingston; and many nieces, nephews and family friends.
