SIGLER-JOCOBI/ARCE Jo Ellen Sigler-Jocobi/Arce, 37, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 23, 2001, Leavenworth, Kan. Preceded in death by her father John L. Sigler and beloved grandparents Norman and Grace Sigler, Theodore and Mary Sidwell Sr. She will be deeply missed by many and thought of often. Survived by husband, Angel Jocobi/Arce, Leavenworth, Kan.; her two sons, Pvt. Collin J. Sigler, Ft. Sill, Okla., and Cyle C. Sigler, Grove City, Oh.; mother, Betty Sigler, Grove City, Oh.; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Jacqueline McGuane, Tampa, Fla., John L. Sigler II (Susan), Marlboro, Md., Jeffrey Sigler (Anne) Columbus, Oh., Jerlyn Vernon, Grove City, Oh., and Jill Sigler, Grove City, Oh.; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was a glowing light that burned with the strength of the sun and the soft glow of the moon. She was a woman of many talents and accomplishments. Graduating from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology with a manager degree. Following her father and brother's footsteps to serve her country in the United States Army. Achieving the rank of Sgt. and becoming a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Went to protect and serve her community as a prison guard at Correction Corporation of America, Leavenworth, Kan. Family will be honored to receive friends of our beloved Jo, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Oh., funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001 with Rev. Joel Harbarger officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio with her family.

STEVENS Rolland E. "Steve" Stevens Jr., age 90, of Columbus, Ohio, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Whetstone Care Center. Steve was born October 14, 1910 in Joliet, IL. Graduate of Princeton University. Retired from Pan American Airlines to Columbus 30 years ago. Survived by wife of 63 years, Helen; daughters, Peg Beeson of Columbus and Susan (Doug) Dicke of Sunbury, OH; son, James (Nancy) of Richmond, TX; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Polly Cline of Columbus. Preceded in death by son Terry and son-in-law Jack Beeson. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Rd. Pastor John C. SWARTZ George W. Swartz, age 75, Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Preceded in death by wife Jewell T. Survived by children, Patsy Swartz, Sandra (Patrick) Elder, Deborah Demorest and Wendell Swartz; five granddaughters, Susan Demorest, Danielle Demorest, Janet Elder, Julie Elder and Jill Elder; grandson, Craig Brewer; great-grandchildren, Paris, Jackie, Mikey and Jacob; sister-in-law, Louise Sullivan; brother-in-law, James Bays; nieces and nephews, Wanda, Sheila, Tim and Anita. BENNETT Mildred Bennett, age 94, February 25, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Preceded in death by loving husband Potter Bennett, a proud veteran of WW II, U.S. Army. Survived by nieces, Nancy Federer and Irene Pope; nephew, John Heider, Jr.; great-nephews, Mark, Christopher, Michael and Scott Federer; great-niece, Theresa Federer; great-great-nephew, David Jordan "D.J." Kimmle; as well as many other nieces, nephews and caring friends. The family of Mildred Bennett wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Columbus Community Hospital for the care, concern and kindness that was given to Mildred. Preceded in death by loving wife of 41 years Elsie, parents Clinton and Ruth Bethel, brother John Bethel, and sister Nellie Carroll. Former owner of Stan's Pizza in Hilliard. Honor graduate of Clarksburg High School Class of 1948, and Ohio University Class of 1963. Veteran of the Korean War where he received an Honorable Discharge from both the Army and Navy. Member of Hilliard American legion Post #614 and Hilliard Moose #2236. BORROWS Clarice Lucille Borrows, age 90, of Upper Arlington, a former longtime resident of Clintonville, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at her home. She retired from Weaver Trailer and Body, where she was a Bookkeeper. She was a graduate of Central High School and formerly active with the Trudeau Guild and Twig #6. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, 1982. She is survived by her son, John (Dee) Borrows; grandchildren, Bob and Jim (Susan) Borrows, Becky (Dan) Harrington; great-grandchildren, Krissy and MacKenzie Borrows; brother, Larry Markwood; sister, Doris Motto; nieces, Judy (Jerry) Neal and Vicki (Bob) Joseph. CABUS Donald (Frank) Cabus, age 48, formerly of Gahanna, died Monday, February 26, 2001 at The Ohio State University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. A 1971 graduate of Gahanna-Lincoln High School. He was employed by Moling Associates. Preceded in death by father Donald Gene Cabus, grandparents James and Myrtle Cabus, William and Emily Surritt.
