There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 276 S. Main St., Johnstown, with Fr. F. Richard Snoke officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Johnstown. Mrs. Suver was born February 26, 1930 in Columbus, to the late Walter and Aldien Collens Wittman. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Danville, Oh. Survived by her husband, Edgar Suver of Gambier; son, Steve (Judy) Suver of Circleville; son, Joe (Melissa) Suver of Pataskala; son, Tom (Heidi) Suver of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Ginny (Steve) Zaayer of Lancaster; son, Jim (Karla) Suver of Omaha, Neb.; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at CROUSE-KAUBER FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown. There will be a vigil service at 8 p.m.

SWARTZ George W. Swartz, age 75, Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Preceded in death by wife Jewell T. Survived by children, Patsy Swartz, Sandra (Patrick) Elder, Deborah Demorest and Wendell Swartz; five granddaughters, Susan Demorest, Danielle Demorest, Janet Elder, Julie Elder and Jill Elder; grandson, Craig Brewer; great-grandchildren, Paris, Jackie, Mikey and Jacob; sister-in-law, Louise Sullivan; brother-in-law, James Bays; nieces and nephews, Wanda, Sheila, Tim and Anita. VANOVER Margie Kathleen Vanover, age 84, Worthington Christian Village and formerly of Edgefield Drive, Marion, died Sunday February 25, 2001 at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville. Born in Red Ash, Va. on July 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Giles Keller and Lille Belle (Watson) Beavers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Fred Vanover. She was a faithful member of Fite Memorial Baptist Church for 40 years, a member of Christian Women's Club and Bible Study Fellowship. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by 3 children, Fredda G. (Charles) Sanders, Galena, Oh., Roger L. (Janice Koontz) Vanover, Marion, Oh., Lucy E. (Charles) Hamilton, Columbus, Oh.; 8 grandchildren, Charles (Becky) Sanders, II, Scott (Eileen) Sanders, Lisa (Andrew) Thomas, Valerie (Michael) Mogavero, Connie (Andy) Grear, Karen (Jeff) McGaffick, Kristy (Ron) Mains, Kathryn (Chris) Cooper; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001 at the Fite Memorial Baptist Church, 497 Davids St., Marion, with the Rev. David Carlyle officiating. WIENTJES Ruth Alice Brooks Wientjes, age 72, on Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Kobacker House. Born June 3, 1928 in Patterson, Oh. Attended public schools in Forest, Oh. and graduated in 1949 from Christ Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, Oh. She married Robert J. Wientjes on June 17, 1950. Her nursing career included serving as a public school health nurse and a county public health nurse retiring in 1977 from the Ohio Department of Public Health. She is survived by husband of 50 years, Robert of Dublin, Oh.; son, Brent and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Wientjes of Pleasanton, Calif.; grandchildren, Michelle Wientjes, graduate of University of California, Davis Campus, Gregory Wientjes, a student at Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif.; brother, Robert (Ruth) Brooks of Westerville, Oh. Preceded in death by parents Bertha Laughrey Brooks and Casper Brooks. Ruth was an active member of the Indian Run Methodist Church in Dublin, Oh. Very active in the Christ Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, Dublin Community Recreation Center and Dublin Community Public Affairs Activities. Interment and graveside service will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001 at the Patterson Township Cemetery, Patterson, Oh. Rev. Jim Lillibridge, Pastor of Indian Run Methodist Church, presiding. Contributions in honor of Ruth may be made to the American Cancer Society. Service arrangements by SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL.

BARKER-MacNEALY A funeral service for Esther L. Barker-MacNealy, age 87, of Columbus, formerly of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2001 at the Newark Chapel of HENDERSON, Van ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL SERVICE with Rev. John Mattis officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barker-MacNealy, a resident of the Maplewood Senior Citizen Complex, died February 27, 2001 at the Manor at Whitehall. She was born June 12, 1913 in Newark to the late Alexander and Ellen (Robbison) Van Voorhis. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Carl L. and Lynn Barker, John G. and Jane Barker, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Nikki (Larry) Turner and Michael Barker, both of Obetz, Reina Barker, Carl Barker, Jr., Rhonda (Kevin) Schiller, Nathan (Leslie) Barker and Nicholas (Debbie) Barker, all of Columbus; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Ralph G. Barker, 2nd husband Arthur C. MacNealy, 3 brothers and 1 sister. BARNETT Constance K. "Connie" Barnett, 52, of Arrowhead Rd., Londonderry, N.H., died Friday, February 23, 2001 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Columbus, Oh. on April 5, 1948, a daughter of Janice (Schivane) Fields and the late Rodney Kolb. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Gahanna, Oh., Class of 1965. She was a member of the Welcome Wagon Club, Londonderry and the Londonderry Garden Club. She was a member of the Londonderry Presbyterian Church. She was a substitute teacher at both the Londonderry South Elementary School and the Londonderry Middle School. She was an avid volunteer and active in the PTA at Londonderry South Elementary School and the Londonderry Middle School. She was a reading aide in the Salem school district. She was the founder of Connie's Card Group. She is survived by her husband, Keith Barnett of Londonderry; 2 daughters, Meredith Barnett, Paige Barnett, both of Londonderry; 1 son, Kyle Barnett of Londonderry; her mother of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; 2 brothers, Richard Kolb of Cary, N.C., Paul Kolb of Ellicott City, Md.; step-brother, Michael Fields of Hopkinton, Mass.; 4 step-sisters, Susan Tamker of Stow, Mass., Nancy Converse of Columbus, Oh., Mary Beth Spencer, Patty Blanco, both of Chatham, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2001 at 1 p.m. at the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Cremation will follow at the Southern NH Crematory, Derry. Longtime member of St. Leo's Parish and member of the St. Leo Young at Heart Club. Preceded in death by husband Richard Barrett. BENSON Malcolm John Benson, 53, passed away February 27, 2001. He was born July 20, 1947 in Susquehanna, Pa., the son of Stuart and Dorothy Benson. Mr. Benson was retired from Automotive Sales and Phar-Mor. Survivors include his parents, both of Columbus; brothers, Stuart Jr. and Scott Benson; sister, Janet Benson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Steve Benson, 1996. At his requests, there will be no service, however, calls to his family are welcome. If desired contributions may be directed to the Mt. BOEHM Joseph Scott Boehm, age 45, of Delaware, Oh., died at Mount Carmel Medical Center on Monday, February 26, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Marie (Pope) Boehm and his loving pets, Josie, Louie, Beeper, Kato, Cosmo and cats. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph L. and Mary Ann (Moffitt) Boehm of Upper Arlington. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School in 1968 and attended O.S.U. and Columbus State majoring in computer programming and science. He was employed at PCS (Proficient Computing Solutions) in Columbus for the past 20 years. He is also survived by brother, Michael L. Boehm and wife, Bonnie, of Columbia, MD; sisters, Sharon A. Vause and husband, Jim of El Paso, TX, Diane M. Dalton and husband, Louis of Hilliard, OH, Debby S. Boehm and husband, Norm Freeman of Phoenix, AZ; nieces, Kristin Vause, Heather Vause Lopez, Stacey Vause, Andrea Boehm and Meghan Boehm; nephews, Todd J. Vause, Christopher and Russell Dalton. He was a former member of St. Agatha Church. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2001 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Road, Upper Arlington. Msgr. David Funk, Celebrant. BORROWS Clarice Lucille Borrows, age 90, of Upper Arlington, a former longtime resident of Clintonville, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at her home. She retired from Weaver Trailer and Body, where she was a Bookkeeper. She was a graduate of Central High School and formerly active with the Trudeau Guild and Twig #6. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, 1982. She is survived by her son, John (Dee) Borrows; grandchildren, Bob and Jim (Susan) Borrows, Becky (Dan) Harrington; great-grandchildren, Krissy and MacKenzie Borrows; brother, Larry Markwood; sister, Doris Motto; nieces, Judy (Jerry) Neal and Vicki (Bob) Joseph. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at South Webster Cemetery in South Webster, Oh. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to Hospice of Fairfield Co.
