Retired from Grange Mutual Casualty Co. Member of St. Mary Church (German Village).
Preceded in death by parents John and Grace Hoffmann and brothers John and Paul Hoffmann.
Survived by sons, Michael Hutchinson of Calif., Timothy Hutchinson; sister, Donna (Douglas) Gossman; many nieces and nephews; special grandnieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Julie, Theresa, Greg, Angie and Paul; sisters-in-law, Katherine and Marge Hoffmann. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church, 684 S. Third St.
Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.

KELLY Patricia A. Kelly, age 54, passed away February 25, 2001. Employed as an auditor with the Ohio State Department of Taxation for many years.
Preceded in death by mother Eva Hylton.
Survived by husband of 21 years, Bill; sons, Robert (Gloria) Hayes of Okinawa and William (Shelley) Hayes of McArthur, Oh.; daughter, Rebecca (Mike Linley) Moore of Columbus; father, Delbert Hylton; brothers, Edward (Shelby) Hylton of Columbus and William (Linda) Hylton of Va.; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; nieces, nephews and a close friend, Jan Gaal; many friends. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service Thursday 11 a.m. Dr. William L. Snider officiating.
Entombment at Franklin Hills Memory Garden.
Family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

KENDALL Robert E. Kendall, 70, of Columbus, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at his home. He was a member of the Karl Road Christian Church and the Antique Radio Club. He is survived by wife of 35 years, Shirley; sons, Zachary R. Kendall and Joshua B. Kendall and his fiance, Allison Smits; grandchildren, Jordan Kendall and Troy Smits. Friends will be received Thursday March 1, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where service will be held Friday March 2, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Janet Helme officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Park.

KNOWLES Mr. Herbert Knowles, age 78, Sunday, February 25, 2001 at O.S.U. East Hospital, second of four sons born to Ward and Claudia Knowles, both preceded him in death, also a brother Ward Knowles. Graduate of Carver High School, Ala. U.S. Army veteran, 1st Sergeant, WW II. After the war, relocated to Columbus, Oh. Married Dorothy Jones, preceded him in death. Attended The Ohio State University. Employed as an engineer, Rockwell International, 30 years service. Member of 1st AME Zion Church, formerly Caldwell Temple. Served in several areas, Trustee Board, Sunday School, Instructor Choir. Survived by daughters, Karolyn (Thomas) Crowell, Terri Ann Knowles, Sandra Knowles; brothers, Anthony Knowles, Gadsden, Ala., Robert (Frances) Knowles, Chicago, Ill.; grandsons, William (Tammy) Johnson, Aaquil Knowles, Aalim Knowles and Malcolm Knowles; great-granddaughter, Sadie Mills; special friend, Cora Shields; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service Thursday 12noon, 1st AME Zion Church, 873 Bryden Rd. Rev. David Ibokette officiating. Friends may call Thursday after 10 a.m. at the church, where the family will receive friends 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment Union Cemetery. MARTIN Deacon Joe Louis Martin, age 64, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 24, 2001 at Traditions Nursing Center. Member of East Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he served in the Male Chorus; Chairman of the Deacon Board; Sunday School teacher; past President of the Male Chorus; elected vice president and instructor of Sunday School of Mt. Calvery Baptist Association. Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran. Retired machine operator from General Electric. Predeceased by parents Rev. John and Pauline Adams Martin, Sr. Survived by loving and devoted wife and caregiver, Ramona Freeman Martin; daughters, Deirdre (Randolph) Scott of NY; Ruthie Freeman; Shannon (Alonzo) Johnson of NC; Krystal Martin; and Fredrica Lindley; sons, Derek; Phillip (Yolanda); Mitchell (Gwen); Michael (Kim) of Calif.; Eugene; William; Aaron; and Jacob. 28 grandchildren including special grandchild, Dominique; sisters, Eloise Britton; Earnestine (Winfred) Allen; Saundra Reeves and Necca Teamer of VA; brother, Rev. John (Rev. Phyllis) Martin Jr. of W.VA; mother-in-law, Ruth Lowe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. MORRIS Marcella M. Morris, 87, of Powell, Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at home. She was a loving mother and will be missed by family and many friends. Preceded in death by husband Harold, brothers Joe and Charles McKinney and granddaughter-in-law Alice Perry. McGINNIS Gertrude Marie McGinnis, age 98, February 24, 2001 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Oh. Hilltop resident for over 60 years. Member of Hilltop United Methodist Church, past Matron of Eastern Star and member of her beloved Bridgettes. Preceded in death by parents Delphi and Charles Whetsel, husband Ralph D. McGinnis, Sr., daughters Ramona Joan Williams and Patricia Ann Robies, son Ralph D. McGinnis, Jr. and brother Harry Whetsel. Survived by daughter, Quo Vadis Marie (Neal) Clark; daughter-in-law, Cecila McGinnis; sister, Mary Cox; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Preceded in death by wife Ella F. and sons Norman L. and Ronald L. Survived by sons, Paul (Joan) of Ft. Myers, Fla. and William (Suzanne) of Groveport; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters; 1 brother; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday. PYNE (ROONEY) Diane (Rooney) Pyne, age 63, of Columbus, Monday, February 26, 2001 at Kobacker House with her loving family by her side.
Diane was owner of Accent Coiffures and co-owner of Images of Distinction for a total of 32 years.
She is preceded in death by her father Erwin and survived by her loving husband, George and children, Michael (Jeni) Rooney, Columbus, Debbie (Rick) Gemienhardt, Galena, Oh., Susan (Erin) Sample, Fairbanks, Ak, Sharon (Hank) Zehendner, Delaware, Oh., Nancy (Mike) Latella-Afaghi, Columbus, Kim (Dave) Fulk, Marysville, Oh., Kelly Pyne and Linda, Denver, Co.; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Jean Proffit, Columbus; brother, Robert M. (Carrie) Proffit, Worthington, Oh.; nephew, Robert D. Proffit; cousin, Judy Ogilby, Tampa, Fl.; dear friends, Carol and Bob May.
Diane's deepest passions were safeguarding the environment, gardening and loving her grandchildren.

REID Gregory Wayne "Fingers" Reid, age 48, passed February 25, 2001 at Nelson Park Nursing Home from cancer.
Preceded in death by parents Mary Ann and Robert Reid and grandmother Fannie L. Finch.
Survived by son, Michael Johnson; brother, Tony (Rita) Reid; and many relatives and friends.
Graveside service Wednesday February 28, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
