Constance Barto
Longtime Defiance educator Constance Barto, 96, formerly of Maywinn Drive, died at 3:28 a.m. Friday in Laurels of Defiance.
She was born June 21, 1904, in Defiance, the daughter of A.V. and Minnie (Conn) Noffsinger. In 1934, she married Homer Barto, who died in 1937. She graduated from Defiance College in 1926 and was a teacher at Hicksville, Montpelier and Columbus Grove, before returning to Defiance's Slocum Elementary School. After receiving a master's degree in public school administration, she became principal at Spencer Elementary School in 1947, a position she held until her retirement in 1968. Joining in 1916, she was the oldest member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served as church organist and Sunday school teacher. She was on various church administrative boards, was a member of the Ruth Circle, Defiance County Retired Teachers' Association and Ohio Retired Teachers' Association and a life member of Defiance Society of Artists. She was a historian with Daughters of American Revolution and a longtime member of Defiance Chapter of Eastern Star, where she served as a former worthy matron.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ned (Janet) Willey, Defiance; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, R. Gordon and Roger Noffsinger.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Braun officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

William Robnolt
William E. Robnolt, 72, Defiance, died at 6 p.m. Thursday in Laurels of Defiance.
He was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Paulding County, the son of Mathew and Muriel (Houtzer) Robnolte. He was the owner of Three Rivers Rental and Sales from 1967-1998 and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served on the board of trustees. He was a member of Amateur Trapshooting Association, Defiance County Fish and Game Association, Dan Geltz American Legion Post in Oakwood and a 32-year member of South Richland Volunteer Fire Department. He was past president of Ohio Game Protectors Association, chairman of Ohio Division of Wildlife's Better Relations Committee and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Melissa) Strock, Napoleon; a brother, Richard Robnolte, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Norma) Cunningham of Defiance and Mrs. Victor (Joan) Dunlap, Arcanum; a special friend, Alys Nischwitz, Defiance; and two grandchildren.
There will be no services or visitation. Handling arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to American Cancer Society, South Richland Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of the donor's choice.

Wilma Terry
Wilma I. Terry, 83, Defiance, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday in Leisure Oaks Convalescent Center.
She was born Jan. 8, 1917, in Defiance, the daughter of Rachel Duseberg. She was a sales clerk at J.C. Penney Co. for 22 years and a member of AARP and St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Weslyan Service Guild, a former choir member and a life member of United Methodist Women.
Among survivors are two aunts, Elizabeth and Laurena Duseberg, both of Defiance; and two uncles, Harold Duseberg of Defiance and Roscoe Krill, Flint, Mich.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Revs. Todd Anderson and Suzanne Allen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.
Preferred memorials are to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Irene Blythe
GROVER HILL - Irene Blythe, 82, Grover Hill, died early Friday at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Paulding County, the daughter of Ray and Edna (McClure) Bidlack. In 1940, she married Verlin Blythe, who died on June 5. She was a homemaker and a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Grover Hill, and its Missionary Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Beverly Ann) Wheeler, Amherstburg, Ontario; four brothers, James, R. Paul and Marion Bidlack, all of Grover Hill, and John Bidlack, Montpelier; four sisters, Mrs. Conrad (Vera) Apfel of Pioneer, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Rosengarten Jr. of Leipsic; Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Hoverman of McComb, and Mrs. Dale (Edna May) Spitnale, Oakwood; and three grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Clarence Bidlack; and a sister, Dorothy Thompson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. William Sherry officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Grover Hill EMS or Van Wert County Cancer Society.

Jerry Brown
McCLURE - Jerry L. Brown, 29, McClure, died Thursday at Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, from injuries sustained in an Aug. 27 accident near McClure.
He was born March 20, 1971, in Napoleon, the son of Robert and Barbara (Overmeyer) Brown. In 1996, he married Sandra Nickels, who survives. He was a 1989 graduate of Patrick Henry High School and a fabricator for five years at Fletcher Machine, Weston. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church in Napoleon and Sons of the American Legion at Roberts-McMillen American Legion Post 322, McClure.
Also surviving are a son, Jesse, at home; two daughters, Haley and Ciera, at home; his mother, Malinta; two brothers, Joseph of McClure and Bradley, Napoleon; two sisters, Mrs. Chris (Peggy) Sauder of Napoleon and Mrs. Andy (Susan) Shanks, Malinta; and two grandmothers, Evelyn Kratzer of Pandora and Ethel Brown, Holgate.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure, with Rev. Micah Ernst officiating. Burial will be in Richfield Township Cemetery, Westhope.
Preferred memorials are to the Jerry Brown Children's Fund, c/o Mid Am Bank.

Kathleen Brokaw
STRYKER - Infant Kathleen Joy Brokaw, Stryker, died shortly after birth Tuesday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was the daughter of Brian and Bobbie (Voght) Brokaw, who survive. Also surviving are grandparents, Robert and Ollie Voght of Fort Wayne and David and Joy Brokaw, West Unity; and great-grandparents, Harold and Anna Voght of Fort Wayne, Amy Willis of Union City, Ind., and Leila Brokaw, Flushing.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Joshua.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Hope Community Church, Bryan, with Revs. Doug Schrock and Daniel Douglass officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, is handling arrangements.
Preferred memorials are to Crisis Pregnancy Center, Prenatal Care and Research in Bryan or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arnold Badenhop
NAPOLEON - Arnold H. Badenhop, 87, Napoleon, died Saturday morning at Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon.
He was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Henry County's Freedom Township, the son of John and Elizabeth (Norden) Badenhop. In 1938, he married Ethel Schroeder, who survives. He was a farmer, worked for the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 22 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wauseon.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charlie (Joyce) Meyer, Napoleon; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Paul and Carl.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Revs. Timothy Sonnenberg and Scott Silcox officiating. Burial will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Preferred memorials are to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.

H. Reed Kennedy
PAULDING. - Former Oakwood resident H. Reed Kennedy, 62, Paulding, died Friday morning at his home.
He was born Aug. 20 1938, in Fairmont, W.Va., the son of Harold and Helen (Kennedy) Kennedy. He was formerly married to Dorothy Emerling, Defiance. He worked at Pantry Produce, St. Mary's, retiring in 1994.
Surviving are two sons, Edward Kennedy of Defiance and John, Paulding; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Rita) Gale, Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Roberts, Weirton, W.Va.; a special friend, Lucille Harbin, Paulding; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, William and Steve.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in DenHerder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. Keith Sarver officiating. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Ronald McDonald House, Toledo.

William Stallkamp
DELPHOS - William Henry Stallkamp, 78, Delphos, died at 8:19 p.m. Friday in his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Delphos, the son of Paul and Laura (Wurst) Stallkamp. In 1948, he married Alvina Kleman, who survives. He was co-owner of Stallkamp Electric, Delphos, for more than 20 years and a volunteer fireman for 35 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a life member of St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos. He was an announcer for Delphos St. John's High School football, midget football and go-cart races in Delphos, and a member of St. John's Athletic Boosters and Die Hard Club..
Also surviving are a son, David, Paulding; two daughters, Mrs. Gregory (Sherry) Kunz and Mrs. Craig (Sandy) Suever, both of Delphos; a brother, Joseph, Delphos; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Janet Caskey; and a brother, Thomas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today and from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos. A Delphos Veterans Council service will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by a wake service at 8 p.m.
