Alexander Hayes
ROME CITY, Ind. - Alexander M. Hayes, 9, Rome City, died at 8:16 a.m. (Ind. time) Tuesday in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
He was born July 7, 1991, in Indianapolis, the son of Lisa Hayes. He attended the third grade at Rome City School.
Surviving are his mother, Rome City; and a grandmother, Carol Jennings, Hicksville.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Rev. Jim Mason officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis or Ronald McDonald House.

Orrin Keim
WEST UNITY - Orrin J. Keim, 89, West Unity, died Wednesday morning at Harborside Healthcare, Bryan.
He was born April 10, 1911, in Arthur, Ill., the son of Benjamin and Clara (Helmuth) Keim. In 1942, he married Elva Swalley, who survives. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, the owner and operator of Keim Clothing Store in West Unity and worked at Hawks, Bryan. He was a member of Pettisville Missionary Church, a charter member of West Unity Lions Club and a life member of West Unity American Legion Post 669. He also sang in the SPEBSQSA Barbershop Chorus.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Goldie Purdy, Elsie Wingate and Bertha Mann.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church with Revs. John Horning and Dave Dyck officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity, with American Legion Post 669 conducting military rites. Visitation is from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hollingshead Funeral Home, West Unity.
Preferred memorials are to the Community Hospitals of Williams County's Hospice or the church.

Edward Rickels Sr.
PAULDING - Edward F. Rickels Sr., 92, Paulding, died at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday in Hawthorn Court Nursing Home, Paulding.
He was born Feb. 1, 1908, in Paulding County, the son of John and Mary (Westendorf) Rickels. In 1953, he married Georgia Gray, who survives. He was a farmer for 72 years and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding.
Also surviving are three sons, Donald of Sherwood, Paul of Dayton and John, Paulding; three daughters, Loretta Gipple and Evelyn King, both of Hicksville, and Ilene Fickel, Cecil; a sister, Minnie Rickels, Paulding; and 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Erin Harp and Edward Jr.; a brother, Roy; a sister, Bertha Freshwater; and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Richard Bauer Sr.
ANTWERP - Richard M. Bauer Sr., 78, Antwerp, died at 9:10 p.m. (Ind. time) Wednesday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Hicksville, the son of Ralph and Zelda (Kempf) Bauer. In 1942, he married Betty Bissell, who survives. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II, worked in construction and owned a Sinclair Oil distributorship in Antwerp. He was also a former Antwerp Village councilman.
Also surviving are a son, Richard Jr., Antwerp; two sisters, Theresa Martin of Defiance and Mary Herron, Elkhart, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with Deacon Robert Nighswander officiating. Entombment will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens mausoleum, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to Paulding Area Visiting Nurses, Paulding County Senior Center or Paulding GALA.

ANTWERP - Robert J. Jurcevich, 60, Antwerp, died Thursday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Arrangements are pending at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance.

Elnora Winnow
LEIPSIC - Elnora H. Winnow, 104, Leipsic, died Thursday morning at Holgate Healthcare Center.
She was born Feb. 5, 1896, in Putnam County, the daughter of Celestian and Elizabeth (Jones) Noirot. In 1918, she married Arthur Winnow, who died in 1956. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Bavaria and its Altar Rosary Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Rothman and Mrs. Ray (Pauline) Trietch, both of Holgate, and Mrs. Norbert (Rita) Steffan, Ottawa; two sisters, Marie Kohls of Ottawa and Loretta Nickols, Delaware; and 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Ruth Walker and Pearl Swary; two brothers, Jess and Harmon Noirot and two in infancy; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with Rev. Stephen Stanbery officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate, with a rosary service at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Preferred memorials are to masses or a charity of the donor's choice.

James Fett
COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. - James W. Fett, 67, Columbia City, died at 2 a.m. Thursday in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
He was born June 11, 1933, in Fort Wayne, the son of Ami and Alice (Faye) Fett. In 1982, he married Karen Andorfer, who survives. He worked at B.F. Goodrich, Woodburn, for 10 years, and was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City.
Also surviving are three sons, John Puckett and Mike, both of Gainsville, Fla., and Matthew, Kendallville; a daughter, Donna Boone, Fort Wayne; three stepdaughters, Rhonda Logan and Alice Fett, both of Columbia City, and Amanda Rigsby, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Neal of Fort Wayne and Chuck, Decatur; two sisters, Lois Mekus of Defiance and Chloe Parker, Tupelo, Miss.; and 12 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Jean; and a sister, Charleen Mackres.
Services will be at 11 a.m. (Ind. time) Monday in DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Rev. Barry Faucett officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday.
Preferred memorials are to the church.

Services for Jodi A. Shong were held Thursday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray and Adam Gineman, Phil Gessner, Johnny Rivers, Ron Borton and Keith Hubbard.

Mary Weber
Mary P. Weber, 75, Defiance, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday in Laurels of Defiance Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Defiance, the daughter of Marvin and Millie (Pessefall) Gallup. In 1954 she married Donald Weber, who survives. She was a graduate of Siena Heights College and was an elementary school teacher at various schools. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, where she was a CCD teacher for 10 years and served as past president of the Rosary and Altar Society.
Also surviving are two sons, David of Tinley Park, Ill., and Laurence, Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, John Gallup, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada; four sisters, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) May of Defiance, Mrs. James (Helen) Lawson of Eustis, Fla., Sister Janet Gallup of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Robert (Betty) DeLaet, Paulding; and four grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Samuel Gallup.
Services will be at noon Monday at the church, with Rev. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m., and 9-11:30 a.m. Monday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to the church or charity of the donor's choice.
