Lloyd Collyer
ARCHBOLD - Former Royal Oak, Mich., resident, Lloyd G. Collyer, 81, Archbold, died early Friday at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold.
He was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Detroit, Mich., the son of Floyd and Ada (Gorton) Collyer. In 1939, he married Irene Edwards, who died in 1977. He worked for Chrysler Corp., Warren, Mich., retiring after 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of Evergreen Lutheran Church, Detroit.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis of Detroit, Mich. and Brian, Stryker; a daughter, Mrs. James (Cheryl) Moskal, Royal Oak, Mich.; a sister, Loretta Laugrea, Dade City, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Colleen Farley; and two brothers, LeRoy and Russell Collyer.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Fairlawn Chapel with Rev. David Dyck officiating. Burial will be in Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Mich. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. today at the chapel. Handling arrangements was Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Preferred memorials are to Alzheimer's Association or to Fairlawn Haven.

Nettie Ruffer
ARCHBOLD - Nettie Mae Ruffer, 84, Archbold, died Saturday at Fulton Manor Nursing Home, Wauseon.
She was born July 15, 1916, near Stryker, the daughter of Melvin and Mary (Sinkey) Pace. In 1935, she married Donald Ruffer, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Larry, Archbold; and a sister, Mrs. James (Ilo) Beltz, Stryker.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Gale and Ora Pace.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold, with Rev. Thomas Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Archbold Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to Emmaus Lutheran Church, Wauseon.

Reba Spire
BRYAN - Reba Wanita Viola Spire, 75, Bryan, died early Friday at Hillside Country Living.
She was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Toledo, the daughter of Clarence and Reba (Favorite) Meek. In 1950, she married Glenn Spire Jr., who died in 1989. She was the owner of the Hub in Bryan and the Coffee Shop, Montpelier; and worked at Gladiux's restaurant. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Montpelier, and Bryan Eagles.
Surviving are two daughters, Sue Eichner of West Unity and Renee Brewer, Montpelier; three sons, Glenn III of St. Petersburg, Fla., Kevin of North Carolina and Terry, Montpelier; a brother, Ervin Meek, Toledo; and 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan. Burial will be in Farmer Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to American Diabetes. Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Marjorie Stanley
BRYAN - Former Burlington resident Marjorie S. Stanley, 59, Bryan, died at 6:48 a.m. Friday in her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1941, in Archbold, the daughter of Oliver and Kathryn (Berry) Schantz. In 1961, she married Joseph Stanley, who survives. She worked as a finisher for 22 years for the former Napco Plastics, Napoleon, and a telephone operator for Archbold Telephone Co. and General Telephone, Bryan.
Surviving are her mother, Archbold; a son, Joseph Jr., Hudson, Mich.; a brother, Oliver Schantz Jr., Sylvania; a sister, Mrs. Roger (Reny) Memmer, Winter Haven, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her father.
There will be no visitation or services.
Handling arrangements was Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier.
Preferred memorials are to Community Hospitals of Williams County-Hospice.

Vivian Shetler
BRYAN - Vivian (Vi) Shetler, 80, Bryan, died Friday at Dilworth Center, Montpelier.
She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Edgerton, the daughter of Isadore and Teresa (Stark) Lirot. In 1939, she married Wilson Shetler, who survives. She worked at Uhlman's Department Store, where she retired.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John (Sharon) Brownlee of Defiance, Mrs. William (Ruth Ann) Grant of Bryan and Mrs. Phil (Diane) Frager, Edgerton; a sister, Pauline Bloom, Stryker; five brothers, Earl, Roger and J. Doyle Lirot, all of Bryan, Al Lirot of Delphos and Walt Lirot, Defiance; and six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were four sisters, Helen Shetler, Marie Siebenaler and Charlotte and Mary Lirot; and two brothers, Donald and LaVon Lirot; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rice Funeral Home. Bryan, with Rev. H. Raymond Aspinall officiating. Entombment will be at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association, Make A Wish Foundation or Dilworth Center.

Mabel Moore
FORT WAYNE - Mabel C. Moore, 92, Fort Wayne, died Thursday at the Arbors, Fort Wayne.
She was born July 14, 1908, in Edgerton, Ind., the daughter of George and Mary (Woods) Moore. A graduate of Indiana Business College, she was a receptionist and dental hygienist for Drs. Sanborn and Berghoff and a bookkeeper for Sears. She was a member of Eastern Star, Ohio Hesperian Chapter 281 and Kappa Delta Phi.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were four brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday (Ind. time) at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery, Payne. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. (Ind. time) today with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Allen County or Heartland Home Health & Hospice.

Hazel Sherburne
GRAND RAPIDS - Hazel Marie Sherburne, 79, Grand Rapids, died Saturday at Toledo Hospital.
She was born July 24, 1921, in Palmyra, Mich., the daughter of Paul and Charlotte (Brown) Amos. In 1948, she married John Sherburne, who died in 1995. She was a nurse's aide at nursing homes in Grand Rapids, Waterville and Whitehouse, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post 232 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Betty) Fitch, Grand Rapids; a sister, Pauline Gaus, Toledo; two half brothers, Sargent and Howard Amos, both of Adrian, Mich.; a half sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruby) Maynard, Holland, Mich.; a stepsister, Mrs. Richard (Christine) Hasenkamp, Chelsea, Mich.; and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Harold Austin Jr.; two brothers, Paul and Hazen Amos; a half brother, Roscoe Amos; and two stepbrothers, Delbridge and Roy Wall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Judith Frank officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Monday.
