Kay Jackfert
Kay Jackfert, 79, of Fourth St., Yorkville, died Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Heartland Lansing Care Center.
She was born March 2, 1923 in Yorkville, daughter of the late Sam and Katie Harvey. She was Catholic by faith.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by one son, Richard Ray Jackfert and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving Kay are one son, Joe Jackfert and his wife Lawanna of Yorkville; one daughter, Marty Bonacci and her husband Frank of Wheeling; six grandchildren, Jason Rosnick and his wife Kori of Bridgeport, Bradley Bonacci of Bethlehem, Toni Kavannas of Martins Ferry, Jodi Jackfert, Jared Jackfert and his wife Amy and Janae Jackfert all of Yorkville; and four great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville, Ohio, where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Monsignor George Coyne officiating. Interment follows at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville.
Memorial Contributions in Kay's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3612 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43702.

Paul Kalonick
Paul Kalonick, 86, Adena, Ohio, died July 31, 2002 in Wheeling Medical Park, Wheeling, W. Va. He was born Oct. 26, 1915 at Adena, Ohio, son of the late John and Anna (Vasilko) Kalonick.
He was a retired electrician from Nelms #1 Mine in Cadiz; member of St. Casimirs Catholic Church, a member of the UMWA Local 283 and an Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, John, Mike, Andrew, George, Steve, Pete and Joseph and four sisters, Mary Krecella, Susan, Ann and Anna Kalonick.
Surviving are his wife Helen (Kiwaczyk) Kalonick; two sons, Paul J. and his wife Linda of Adena; James P. and his wife Jane of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Carole Mervar and her husband Thomas of Georgia, Christine Barbarossa and her husband Larry of Federal Way, Washington; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation, Friday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at St. Casimirs Catholic Church, Adena with Monsignor John Kolesar as celebrant. Entombment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Adena Lions Club service, 7 p.m., at the funeral home, followed by Vigil services at 8:30 p.m.

James Stubenrod
James Albert Stubenrod, 19, of 60663 Webb Heights Road, Shadyside, Ohio, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Blaine, Ohio. Jimmy was born March 14, 1984 in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of James L. and Susan Matyja Stubenrod of Shadyside.
He was an employee of All American Towing in Shadyside, a 2002 graduate of Shadyside High School and a Methodist. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Albert L. Stubenrod and maternal grandmother Helen Parento Matyja.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister Jamie Stubenrod of Shadyside, paternal grandmother Marie Holub Stubenrod and maternal grandfather Anthony Matyja Sr., both of Shadyside, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3900 Central Ave., Shadyside, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Cordery officiating. Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions to Shadyside Emergency Squad, 4210 Central Ave., Shadyside, Ohio 43947.

Beatrice Jones
Beatrice Jones, 97, of 4437 Franklin Street, Bellaire, Ohio, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 in Forest Hill Retirement Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born July 6, 1906 in Smithfield, Alabama, a daughter of the late Henry and Panolar Hutchins Jones.
She was Pentecostal by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jones in 1965, a son Richard Jones, a daughter Juanita Biggs, a brother Henry Jones and three sisters Rose Houston, Carrie Threets and Mary Smith.
Surviving are a son Daniel G. Jones Sr. of Bellaire, son-in-law Harold S. Biggs of Bellaire, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several great - great - grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews.
Friends received Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bauknecht - Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th St., Bellaire, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. James Agnew and Rev. Gerald Blon, officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.

Pamela Mike
Pamela Sue Harris Mike, 47 of N. Sugar St., St. Clairsville died Sunday at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born at Wheeling June 2, 1956 at daughter of Marcia Hamilton Harris Pierce and the late Harold Harris.
She was a former employee of Sam's Club at the Ohio Valley Plaza and a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church, St. Clairsville.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dessie Hamilton Orell and Freda Harris; her uncle, William Hamilton and her aunt, Grace Hamilton.
Surviving are her husband Kenneth S. Mike; her mother and step father Marcia and Delbert Pierce of Dale, Ind.; her daughters, Dana (Frank A. II) Goletz of Barton; Holly JoAnne West of St. Clairsville and Christina Coen of Martins Ferry; brothers and sisters Danny Harris of Morristown; Linda Harris of Canton; David (Paula) Harris of St. Clairsville, Dennis (Stephanie) Della Morta of Santa Claus, Ind.; Steven Pierce of Dale, Ind. and Lisa Lowery of Buford, Ill.; grandchildren, Cody and Brandon Goletz and Jordyn Palicka and best friends, Kathy Harding and Leslie Caddell.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home St. Clairsville where services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating. Burial follows in Morristown Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes. Association, 937 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085.

Irvin Corbett
Irvin E. Corbett, 80, Harrisville, Ohio, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Sunset Health Care, Adena, Ohio. He was born Feb. 1, 1923 in Adena.
He was a self-employed oil sales manager and co-owner of Carson Petroleum in Lansing, Ohio, an Army veteran of World War II, an avid golfer and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Harrisville where he was an elder, Harrisville Ruritan Club, the ASLE of West Virginia, Belmont Hills Country Club, and a former member of the Adena Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Bertha (Smith) Corbett, and a sister Margaret Black.
Surviving are his wife Dorothy (Hall) Corbett; two sons Larry Corbett and his wife Meredyth of Scottsdale, Az., Duane Corbett of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter Marcelyn "Marcie" Smith and her husband Rich of Ripley, W.Va., a sister Ida Mae Moore and her husband Paul of Adena; seven grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena. Private family interment in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
Full military graveside services will be conducted by the Adena American Legion Post 525. A public memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Memorial contributions may me made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, St. Rt. 250 Harrisville, Ohio 43974.

Lucie Shue
Lucie Mae Helt Shue, 68, of Broadway Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died on her birthday, Monday, Aug. 4, 2003.
Lucie was born Aug. 4, 1935 at Bridgeport, Ohio, the daughter of the late August C. and Anna Mae Rowan Helt.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda M. Shue and her brother, Daman Helt.
Lucie is survived by her three daughters, Luvada P. Fuhr and her husband, Jim, Lucie M. Santee, Susan K. Moore, all of Martins Ferry; her two brothers, Raymond J. Helt, of Martins Ferry, and August Charles Helt, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; her sister, Susan Hamilton of Martins Ferry; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services and interment were held on Tuesday at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements by the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio.

Gertrude Galloway
Gertrude Hopper Galloway, 86, of Wheeling, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003 at Heartland -Lansing Nursing Home. She was born on March 26, 1917 in Edan, N.C., a daughter of the late Charlie Hopper and Cornelia Leisure Hopper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Galloway, a son, Dr. Richard Willard Galloway, three brothers, Charlie, Samuel and Allen Hopper; three sisters, Cleo Hagwood, Hattie Smith and Beatrice Bennett.
Surviving are a son, James D. Galloway, and his wife Carolyn of Bellaire, Ohio, three sisters, Flora Rodgers and Maggie Poston of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Martha Poston of Atlanta, Ga., four grandsons, Keith Jennings and his wife Cindy of Columbus, Ohio, James and Curtis Galloway of Bellaire, and Joseph Galloway of Dallas, Texas; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received on Friday from 7 to 9 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, W. Va. Friends will also be received prior to the funeral service which will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 105-12th Street, Wheeling, W. Va., with the Rev. Stephan K. Tucker officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church.
