Frank Urbania
Frank "Whitey" Urbania, 84, of Adena, formerly of Cleveland, died Aug. 2, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born March 6, 1919 at Fitzhenry, Pa.
He was a member of St. Felicigas Catholic Church in Euclid K.S.K.J. Slovenian Lodge in Cleveland and was retired from the City of Euclid.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Urbania and a grandson, Don Maglich, Jr.
Surviving are two sons, Ken and his wife Vicki of Adena and John of Ketchikan, Alaska; a daughter, Francine Urbania of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Friends are welcome on Monday at Borkoski Funeral Home, 111 S. Bridge, Adena, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Casimirs Catholic Church with Monsignor John Kolesar as celebrant. Burial follows in Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Priscilla Koyder
Priscilla D. Meeker Koyder, 76, of Lafferty, Ohio, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 at her home.
She was born July 7, 1927 at Tiltonsville, Ohio, the youngest and last remaining child of Daniel and Margaret Monaghan Meeker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur, Charles, Daniel, Harry, Isabelle and Rebecca.
Priscilla was a former nurses aid for Park Health Center of St. Clairsville.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John E. Koyder; a son, Kenneth E. Briggs of Flushing, Ohio; a daughter, Patricia McFarland of Tuscin, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kevin Koyder, McDonald, Pa., Danielle (Mike) Napier, and Dwayne (Tammy) Briggs, Bridgeton, Mo., Orion (Jodi) Briggs, Glencoe, Ohio and Cody Milan, Flushing, Ohio; 10 great-grandchildren, Miranda Koyder, Ryan and Matthew Napier, Sara, Erin, Sammy, Ray and Katie Briggs; step grandchildren, Brandon Dickerson and Courtney Johnson and her sister-in-law, Rose Koyder of St. Clairsville and brother-in-law, Mitchell Hirauk, Crabapple, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003 at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio, with burial to follow at Morristown Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Joan Schafer
Joan J. Schafer, 78, of Bethesda, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born June 23, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carlyle and Anna Gregg Vickerman.
Joan was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church, and retired from Barnesville Hospital after 27 years of service as a charge nurse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vickerman.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Jack Schafer; two daughters, Kyle (Dennis) Bell of Zanesfield, Ohio, Kelle (Randy) Weekley of Belmont; two sons, Michael (Colleen) Schafer of Shallote, N.C., and Stephen Schafer of Columbus; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jane Betts and Rev. Fred Bell officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
Memorial contributions to the Barnesville Hospital Auxiliary 639, West Main St., Barnesville, Ohio 43713.

Fielden Borders
Fielden H. Borders, 93, of Belmont Rd., Belmont, Ohio, formerly of the Jeromesville area, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Barnesville Health Care Center in Barnesville. He was born July 25, 1910 in Ellet Co. Kentucky, the son of Henry and Julie Isaacs Borders.
He was a truck driver for Eastern Express and attended the Assembly of God Church in Ashland.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Housley Borders of Belmont, a daughter, Carol Riley of Springfield, Vermont; three grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three wives, Esther in 1937, Stella in 1990 and Hazel in 2000; four sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Burial follows in Jeromesville Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday one hour prior to service.

Francis Elseser
Francis T. Elseser, 65, of the Bridgeport Manor, Bridgeport, Ohio, died Monday, July 29, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va. He was born May 23, 1938 at White Plains, N.Y., the son of the late George and Rachel Helt Elseser.
Francis was a retired employee of Ziegenfielders Ice Cream Company of Wheeling, W.Va., and a member of the Bridgeport Eagles.
In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Raymond Elseser and one sister, Rosa Lee Dupke.
Francis is survived by a brother Robert Elseser of Medina, Ohio, and one sister Sally Dupke of Chester, Va.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Francis on Saturday, Aug., 2, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, with Pastor James Jones, officiating. Interment in Weeks Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Violet Maguire
Violet Maguire, 88, of Central Avenue, Tiltonsville, Ohio; formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 in East Ohio Regional Hospital at Martins Ferry.
Violet was born Jan. 3, 1915 at Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late William and Sophia Maseros Duley.
She was Catholic by faith, a retired employee of the former Stone & Thomas Store in Wheeling and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion 153, Tiltonsville, Ohio, and Post 4811 of the VFW, Yorkville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband Richard Maguire I, on April 18, 1984; her brothers Joseph, William and Louis Duley; and her sister Elizabeth Hess.
Surviving are her son Richard "Rick" Maguire II, and his companion Judy of Tiltonsville; her daughter Joan Kotelos; Violet's grandson Richard E. Maguire III of New Alexandria, Ohio, and great-granddaughter Brooke Morgan Maguire of New Alexandria, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio.

John Boido
John "Jack" Boido, 64, of Ocala, Fla., died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 after a battle with cancer. Jack was born May 18, 1939.
He was a 1957 graduate of Bridgeport High School, and a Lutheran by faith. His passion for football afforded him a scholarship to the University of Michigan. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division and retired in automobile sales.
Surviving are his mother, Edith D. Boido, sister Chicki Boido Chambers of Ocala, Fla., sons, Michael Boido, John Boido and Kevan Riddle. Stepdaughters, Angalette Briggs of South Dayton and Deana Bobek of Shadyside, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his family and treasured friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 3 at 4 p.m. at Hiers Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Marianne Holden
Marianne Kovac Holden, 88, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Ocean Springs.
Marianne was a native of Bellaire, Ohio, and a resident of the coast since 1994. She was an avid bridge player for a number of years in Mississippi and Ohio. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs and St. Agnes of Mingo Junction, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Eva Traylinek Kovac, her husband, Joseph Wm. Holden, one sister, Teresa Raha.
Marianne is survived by one daughter, Gail Banks and her husband Barney of Ocean Springs, two sisters-in-law, Lucy Holdinsky of Mingo Junction, and Mary Holdinsky of Michigan, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kathleen Scarborough and her husband Shea, Kristin Freeman and her husband Corey, Jennifer Reed and her husband, Dusty, Scott Holden Banks and Stephen Dean Banks; four great-grandchildren, William Hayden, Reagan Scarborough, Jordan and Kace Ryan Reed.
Friends will be received at the Blaschalk-WilsonFuneral Home, 115 Union Street, Mingo Junction, Ohio on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 from 6 to 9 p.m. with vigil service at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. William Cross, as celebrant. Entombment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Building Fund, 502 Jackson Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.

Janice Husvar
Janice Chippe Husvar, 76, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 in Abilene, Texas. A private family memorial service was held with arrangements by Elmwood Funeral Home, Abilene.
Mrs. Husvar was born on September 12, 1926 in Bridgeport, Ohio. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1944 and studied opera at Muskingum College in Zanesville, Ohio, where she won awards for voice. On February 24, 1946 she married John William Husvar and made a career being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She and John moved to the Steubenville, Ohio, area in the 1950's and to Abilene, Texas in 1978.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years; one son, John Paul Husvar and wife Linda of Rootstown, Ohio; her daughter, Janice Cecelia Sanchez and husband Johnny; sister-in-law, Gertrude Tanchuk; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials in Mrs. Husvar's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the donor's favorite charity.
