Therese L. Patterson
Therese L. Patterson, 57, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.
She was born in Martins Ferry, on Aug. 30, 1945, the daughter of the late Emerald and Dorothy E. (McCutcheon) Delbrugge.
Surviving are one son, Charles, A., husband of Tamie Patterson, Rayland, Ohio; two daughters: Marsha, wife of Fred Gheen, Belmont, Ohio and Mary Beth Patterson, Martins Ferry; three brothers, Mike, Emerald, Jr. and Jim Delbrugge and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, where friends will be received Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edward Boyce officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Mark Piazza
Mark Anthony Piazza, 46, of Sinclair Avenue, Yorkville, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 31, 2003 at his home.
Mark was born Oct. 4, 1956 at Martins Ferry, Ohio, the son of the late Domenick and Rose Marie Zackey Piazza.
Mark was the bank manager for US Bank of Toronto, formerly serving at the bank's branch in Yorkville.
He was a Catholic by faith, a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Toronto Business Association, the Relay for Life, the Toronto Chamber of Commerce and he served on the Finance Committee for the City of Toronto.
Mark is survived by his children: Nicholas Piazza and Jessica Piazza; his brother, David Piazza and his wife Teresa of Richmond, Texas; his sister, Patricia Wrobel and her husband Victor of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio; his niece, Sheri Czuchran of Tiltonsville, and his nephews, Michael and Anthony Piazza of Richmond, Texas.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio, on Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. with Monsignor George Coyne, the officiant.
Interment will follow at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mark's honor to the Jefferson County Relay for Life, c/o US Bank, 217 North Third Street, Toronto, Ohio 43964.

Catherine Burkhart
Catherine A. Jepson Burkhart, 69, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, June 1, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Catherine was born January 1, 1934 at Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of the late William P. and Twila M. Magnus Jepson. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert. J. Burkhart and a son Brian Burkhart, grandson Brian Beck and a brother Daniel Jepson.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Burkhart of Martins Ferry, and Michael Burkhart and his fiance Christy Lynch of Morgantown, W.Va.; four daughters, Cathie Beck and her husband Fred, Debi Siburt, Cindi Miller, Mary Beth Rehberg, and her husband Jeffrey all of Martins Ferry, one brother William Jepson and his wife Dorothy of Yorkville, Ohio; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio, at noon on Thursday.
Entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. Rosary service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m., followed by a wake service at 7 p.m. The Martins Ferry Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will pay their respects at 7:30 p.m.

Baunita L. Schleicher
Baunita L. Schleicher, formerly of Bellaire, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Loving sister of Nancy (Schleicher) Bell.
Surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements by William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15220.
Memorial contributions may be made in Baunita's name to Bellaire Public Library, 330 32nd Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906.

Otto Rumskey
Otto C. "Buckshot" Rumskey, 69, of Erwin-Higgins Road, Belmont, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at his home. He was born at Clarksburg, Feb. 12, 1934, a son of the late Otto A. and Gladys L. Spence Rumskey.
Buckshot was a retired employee of the former North American Coal No. 1 mine and retired from the Belmont County Engineering Department, Lloydsville Garage.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lee Covington Rumskey.
Surviving are his sons, Otto C. "Touke" Rumskey of Clarksburg and Chris Rumskey of Glencoe, Ohio; his daughters, Cindy Barcus of Wheeling, Lora Hendershot of St. Joe, Ohio and Anissa Kirkpatrick of Belmont; his brothers, John R. Rumskey of Eatonton, Ga., and Peter R. Rumskey of Waynesburg, Pa., and his sister, Sally Piatt of New Orleans, La.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Blon officiating. Burial will follow at the Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.

E. G. 'Eve' Beveridge
E.G. "Eve" Beveridge, 88, of Cadiz, Ohio, formerly of St. Albans, West Virginia, died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at her home. She was born in St. Albans, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lilly Atkins.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander (Joe) Beveridge in 2000; a grandson, Gregory Jacobs; and brothers and sisters: Richard, Alvin, Martha, Eck and Orie.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Burdett of Cadiz; three grandsons, Steven Andrew Jacobs of Cadiz, Bradley Jacobs of Scio, and Rodney Jacobs of Marysville, Ohio; two granddaughters, Deborah Davis of Georgia and Crystal Jacobs Sayre of Cadiz; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Rollins and a brother, Boone Atkins, both of St. Albans, West Virginia.
Friends may call at Clark - Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio, Saturday, May 31, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Additional Visitation is at the Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, West Virginia on Friday, June 6, 2003 from 7-9 p.m., where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Young Chapel Cemetery, St. Albans, West Virginia.

Richard Church, Jr.
Richard M. Church, Jr., 44, of Beaumont, Texas, formerly of Powhatan Point, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Beaumont. He was born Sept. 20, 1958 at Martins Ferry, the son of Richard and Patricia Patterson Church of Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Richard was a veteran of the Army and a construction worker, and a member of the New Life Fellowship Church of Shadyside.
In addition to his parents Richard is surviving by a daughter, Melissa Church of Seville, Ohio and a granddaughter, Chloe Church of Seville; three sisters, Robin and Jessica Church, both of Shadyside and Jeanne Jo Navarro of Reno, Nevada.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Richard on Monday, June 2nd, at 7 p.m. at the New Life Fellowship Church, 365 West 36th Street, Shadyside, with Brother Joel Traylor, officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.

Patricia Thacker
Mrs. Patricia Luskey (Pat) Thacker of Charlotte, N.C., died Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
Pat was born in Wheeling, W.Va., the only child of Jay and Mary Helen Luskey. She spent her childhood in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.
In 1966 she moved to Charlotte, N.C., with her husband, Jim. While in Charlotte, she became quite a sports enthusiast as she followed her husband's sports broadcasting career. She enjoyed all sports, especially ACC baseball and golf. Pat was also involved in her neighborhood garden club and stitch group.
She will be remembered for her unconditional faith in God and love of her family; her willingness to help her friends; and her larger than life smile.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2003 in the Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel with Reverend Ron Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1428-B Orchard Lake Drive, Charlotte, NC 28270 or Communities In Schools, 601 East Fifth St., Suite 300, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Mary L. Corbett
Mary L. Corbett, 90, of Dilles Bottom, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born September 13, 1912 in North Emporia, Va., a daughter of the late Joseph and Marietta Rubesa Postage.
Mary was a sales clerk for the former Stone and Thomas Department Store of Wheeling, W.Va., a member of the New Hope Methodist Church of Dilles Bottom, the United Methodist Women and the Elm Twigg of Pipe Creek.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Corbett in March of 1993, one daughter Sandra Jo Corbett Meager in August of 1987, three brothers Frank, Joseph and John Postage.
Surviving are one son, Dr. William H. Corbett (Jeannie) of Lafayette, Ind.; one daughter Mary K. Chervenak (Don) of Piedmont, Ohio; one sister Anne Shultz (Stanley) of Dilles Bottom; one brother Rudy Postage (Clemintina) of Dilles Bottom; five grandchildren Richard Silverio, Jr. (Judy) of Shadyside, Ohio, Michelle Silverio Keitz (Randy) of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Jay Meager (Dana) of Bridgeport, Ohio, Kevin Meager (Jackie) of Elida, Ohio, and William Corbett of Lafayette;E four great-grandchildren Natalie and Aaron Silverio and Erich and Rachel Keitz.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and also Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3900 Central Ave., Shadyside, Ohio. Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shadyside Emergency Squad.
