Paul Burkhart
Paul P. Burkhart, 71, of Barnesville died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at his farm near Barnesville. He was born June 22, 1932, in Barnesville, a son of Marie Ryan Burkhart and the late Lawrence Burkhart.
Paul graduated from Barnesville High School, College of Steubenville and received his Masters Degree from West Virginia University. He taught 4th grade in the Barnesville School System for 39 years. He coached Junior High baseball, varsity girls baseball, and was a head girls softball coach at Barnesville for 20 years. He was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force. A member of the OVAC girls softball committee, Farm Bureau, Knights of Columbus, Barnesville American Legion and a 20 year member of the Barnesville E-Squad. Paul was voted Barnesville's Citizen of the Year in 1997.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Burkhart.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Barnesville, are his wife of 40 years, Frances Sulek Burkhart; one son, Paul (Martina) Burkhart; four daughters, Teresa Harshbarger (Eric), Mary Anne (Daniel) Stephens, Angela (Aaron) Hannahs, and Lisa Burkhart, all of Barnesville; ten grandchildren, Jesse D'Amico, Bailey Burkhart, Khiara Tracy-Burkhart, Colin and Alexa Harshbarger, Megan, Daniel Jr. and Michaela Stephens, Erin Hannahs, and Samantha Burkhart.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Kelly-Kemp-Bradio Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street in Barnesville. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, with Father Virgil Reischman officiating. Burial in Assumption Cemetery, Barnesville, with full military graveside services by Belmont County Council American Legion. Wake service Sunday 8:30 p.m., and Knights of Columbus service 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions made to the Paul Burkhart Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Wesbanco Barnesville.

George Rimel
George Rimel, 75, of Pipe Creek, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire. He was born March 12, 1928, in Bellaire, son of the late George and Lillian Rimel.
He was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Company, Ireland Mine at Moundsville, and was a member of the United Church of God, Wheeling. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Rimel; and sister Lillian Halpenny.
Surviving are his wife, Emma M. Worley Rimel; a daughter, Nancy Rimel of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Elder William Hadley officiating. Burial will be in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.

Jeanne Lucas
Jeanne Marie Craig Burkhead Lucas, 36, of Bethesda died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital after a life long battle with diabetes.. Jeanne was born Aug. 5, 1967 in Barnesville, a daughter of the late Ellis W. Craig and Ruth Gregg Craig.
Jeanne was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving in addition to her mother Ruth, of Bethesda, are two sons, Ricky W. Burkhead and Joshua A. Burkhead; three brothers, John Craig, James (Myra) Craig and Joseph (Pamela) Craig; nephews James E. Craig and Michael Marling; nieces Jennifer and Michelle Marling, all of Bethesda.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelly-Kemp-Bradio Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, where services will be held Monday at the convenience of the family. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
Memorial contributions to the Bethesda Vol. Fire Dept. and E Squad, 103 East Spring St., Bethesda, Ohio 43719.

Lester Bishop
Lester (Neil) Bishop, 51, of Maynard, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1952 in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late Charles (Chet) Bishop and Nellie Wilkens Bishop.
Neil was a Baptist, he served 20 years in the U.S. Army and worked at the Cherry Tree Toys, Belmont, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Mary C. Eimer Bishop; a son, Richard Scott Bishop of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Angela Dawn Bishop of Bridgeport; grandchildren Amanda Marie Bishop, Raven Michael Neil Bishop, Kaitlyn Nicole Nice and Austin Scott Bishop; one brother, Danny Kent of Anniston, Ala.; two sisters, Deborah Gowen of Anniston and Gloria Welch of Donaldsonville, Ga.; his step mother, Muriel Blake of Bannock; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday 5 to 9 p.m. at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Merritt officiating. Burial in Richland Cemetery with full military graveside services by Belmont County Council VFW.

Velma Duleski
Velma E. Duleski, 70, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va. She was born Aug. 22, 1932 at Dillonvale, the daughter of the late Louis and Suzanna Molnar Duleski.
Velma attended the Catholic Church and was a member of the Hungarian Culture Society and the Dillonvale Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Steve L., Ernest E. and Robert E. Duleski.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald Duleski of Martins Ferry and Louis Duleski and his wife Maryann of Dillonvale; three sisters, Lorraine Levi and her husband Omero of Tiltonsville, Ethel Selby and her husband Edward of Middlefield, Ohio and Patricia Jackson of Dillonvale; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating. Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Mary Heddleson
Mary C. Heddleson, 84, of Dennis Lane, St. Clairsville died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born at Glencoe, Ohio Dec. 30, 1918 a daughter of the late Charles J. and Ethel Mayhugh Vannest.
Mary was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel"s Martins Ferry Plant, a member of Weyer Chapter #515 Order of Eastern Star at Centerville, Wardah Hussam Temple #53 Daughters of the Nile at Wheeling and the Big Band 200 Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Vannest.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, William Heddleson; a brother, Russell Vannest and his wife Esther of St. Clairsville and a sister, Janet Bishop and her husband Earl of Glencoe, several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville. Eastern Star services will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

Cleo Lyons
Cleo M. Lyons, 86, of Trotwood, Ohio, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Maria Joseph Nursing Home, Dayton, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 3, 1917 at Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Loren and Edith Goins Lett.
Cleo was a former employee of St. Clairsville-Richland Schools. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church and the Mary E. Scott Missionary Club.
In addition to her parents, Cleo was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Good, her second husband, John Lyons, three sisters, Barbara Logwood, Gladys Hayes, and Jean Betts.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kelly (Constance) Belt, Trotwood, Ohio; grandchildren: Mrs. Doug (Evett) Pryor, Mrs. James (Stacy) Patterson, great grandchildren Douglas Pryor, Jr., Ashley Pryor, and Lastacia Patterson, a brother, Charles (Annette) Lett, a sister, Justine Simpson, an adopted daughter, Yolanda Lyons, a stepson, Harold Lyons, and a stepdaughter, Betty Lyons.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio, with Rev. Craig Smith officiating.
Burial follows at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Virginia Mae Everson
Virginia Mae Everson, 84, of Silver Springs, Florida, died Sept. 10, 2003 at Estelle's House in Ocala, Florida. She was born to Helen Mary and Julius Earl Trembly on Nov. 13, 1918 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
She moved to Ocala, Florida, from Martins Ferry, Ohio, 36 years ago, and was a retired clerical worker for Six Gun Territory in Silver Springs, and a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church in Silver Springs, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Everson in 1980.
Surviving are one son, Thomas E. Everson of Silver Springs, one sister, Lee Ann Persinger of Morriston, and one brother, Robert Trembly of Ocala, Florida and three grandchildren.
Brown Funeral Home & Crematory, Crystal River, was in charge of arrangements.

Dominic Giannangeli
Dominic "Dom" "Pickles" Giannangeli, 80, of Maple Street, Bellaire, Ohio, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire, Ohio. He was born May 20, 1923 at Dunnington, Pa., a son of the late Emidio and Teresea Di Nardo Giannangeli.
Dom was a retired Millwright with the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporations Yorkville Plant with 45 years of service. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #52 of Bellaire, V.F.W. Post #3613 of Martins Ferry, Ohio and the S.O.A.R. of Yorkville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Giannangeli.
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Albina "Beanie" Cerviano Giannangeli of Bellaire; three sons, Mark Giannangeli and his wife Penny of Bethel Park, Pa., Michael Giannangeli and his wife Carol of St. Clairsville, Ohio and David Giannangeli of Bellaire; a daughter, Lisa Giannangeli of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Lydia Krupnik-Wizba of Shadyside and Joann Harper of Bellaire; three sisters-in-law, Laura Naome and Violet Sartori, both of Columbus and Cecilia Melaragno and her husband, Felix of Chillicothe, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ashley, Abigail, Michael and Bryan Giannangeli.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m, and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Bauknecht -Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th Street, Bellaire. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 a.m., at St. John Catholic Church with Monsignor Gene W. Mullett as celebrant. Burial follows in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 2:15 p.m., in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clare Kapral Scholarship Fund of St. John High School or St. John Catholic Church.
