Rachel M Anthony
January 12, 1916 - August 27, 2013
Rachel M. Anthony, 97 of Saybrook Township died Monday (August 27th) in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1916 in Madison, Ohio the daughter of Dan B. and Mary Ellen (Gifford) McMackin.
She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashtabula and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tatting, reading and genealogy.
Surviving her are her son, John (Sandy) Anthony of Gilbert, Arizona; a daughter, Allison (William) Cole of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee Anthony and a brother, Jay McMackin.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Madison at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
The Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and cremation service, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.

David S. Stottle
Sunday, July 27th, 2008
David S. Stottle, 86 of Latimer Ave. Ashtabula died Saturday (July 26th) at the Park Haven Nursing Home in Ashtabula. He was born October 28, 1921 in Kirbyville, Missouri the son of Czar Lemonyon and Winnie May (Brown) Stottle.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in the European Theater of operations.
He was employed as a Station Representative first with SOHIO and then with BP. He is a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church; El Kadir Grotto; Rising Sun Lodge # 22 F& AM ; the American Legion and VFW Post #943.
Surviving him are his wife the former Stella Markovich whom he married April 13, 1969; four children, Carol (Mark) Bomba of Palatine, Illinois; Marie Stottle of Geneva; Catherine (John Saitti) Zinsky of California and Richard (Brenda) Zinsky of Jefferson, Ohio; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two brothers, Earl Stottle of Missouri and Marion Stottle of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, TJ, Andy, Merle and Glen Stottle and two sisters, Leta Kohaus and Geneva Wegeng.
Funeral service will be Friday (August 1st) at 11:00 Am at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio with Rev. David Evans officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be Thursday (July 31st) from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with a Masonic service at 7:45 PM.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.

Carol A. Luoma
Friday, July 27th, 2007
Carol A. Luoma, 70 of Lake Rd. West Ashtabula died Wednesday (July 23rd) at her home. She was born December 18, 1937 in Ashtabula the daughter of Walter L. and Helen (Schlegelmilch) Kendall and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a well known realtor with Harbor Realty in Ashtabula. She was affiliated with the Saybrook United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, birds and her cats.
Surviving her are three children, Liz Luoma of Orange County, California, Steve Luoma of Charlotte, North Carolina and Debbie (Michael) Revell of Norcross, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Brooklyn, Meghan and Jacob. Her step-mother, Dorothy Kendall of Saybrook Twp; her sister, Susan (Harold) Miller of Saybrook and her brother, Richard Kendall of Pimole, California. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be Tuesday (July 29th) at 11:00 AM at the Saybrook Township Park, 5941 Lake Rd. West in Saybrook Twp. with Rev. James Macdonald of the Saybrook United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Ashtabula at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society or to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the memorial service or at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 who is in charge of the services.

Robert A. Gephart
January 30, 1966 - January 26, 2009
Services: January 31st, 2009 at 1:00 PM
Robert A. Gephart, 42 of Sarasota, Florida and former Ashtabula resident surrounded by his friends and family died on Monday (Jan. 26th) in the Hospice Unit of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born January 30, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a 1984 graduate of Ashtabula High School and served in the Navy from 1984 to 1988. He was employed with Sarasota County in the Waste Water Treatment Plant as a technician. He enjoyed golfing, football and NASCAR.
Surviving him are his father, Gene Gephart of Ashtabula; his mother, Georgana (Dr. Thomas) Baker of Ashtabula; a son Robert (nancy) Gephart of Ashtabula; his daughter, Jessica Gephart of Ashtabula; his girlfriend, Heather Laferty of Sarasota; a grandchild, Sabrina; his sister, Jane (James) Miller of Ashtabula; a niece, Andrea Fritz; a nephew, Philip Pape, Jr. his Aunt and Uncle, Phyllis and Robert Gephart; a cousin, Mike Gephart and his ex wife, Kathy Sharpe of Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Pansy Pettebone and his paternal grandparents, E. I. and Opal Gephart.
Calling hours will be Saturday (Jan. 31st) from 1 to 4 PM at the Ashtabula home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Russell A. Hanson, Jr.
January 27, 1943 - January 27, 2009
Services: January 31st, 2009 at 11:00 AM
Russell A. Hanson, Jr., age 66, E. Main St., Kingsville, died unexpectedly late Tuesday evening at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation after being admitted on Monday.
He was born January 27, 1943 in Denmark Twp., the son of Russell A. & Ruth E. (Abbott) Hanson and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident all of his life. Mr. Hanson was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years, taking disability retirement in 1989. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 18.
Mr. Hanson was a realtor with Century 21 Realty for a short time. He was a member of the both the Jefferson & Ashtabula Eagles Clubs and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casinos and playing the lottery. He was a gifted musician and in his earlier years played with various local bands.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie (Waid) Hanson whom he married on May 26, 1984 in Jefferson, a son, Russell A. Hanson, Jr. of Akron, two step-sons, Arden B. (Tammy) Lynagh of Andover & Charles J. (Debbi) Lynagh of Cherry Valley Twp., three step-grandchildren, Cari, A. J. & Chad Lynagh, a sister, Rebecca A. Hudson of Gainesville, FL,two brothers, Robert A. (Dianna) Hanson & Raymond A. (Bonnie) Hanson, both of Dorset Twp.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at the Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Fr. Gregory Fedor of St. Mary’s Church officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Dept., 3130 E. Main St., Kingsville, OH 44048.

Larry D. Kobella
July 5, 1948 - August 24, 2013
Services: August 31st, 2013 at 11:00 A. M.
Larry D. Kobella, age 65, E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, died Saturday morning at his residence after extended suffering with COPD.
He was born July 5, 1948 in Brusnwick, OH, the son of the late John “Jack” A. & Margaret L. (Pitonak) Kobella and has lived in the Jefferson area most of his life, coming from Brunswick. Larry was a graduate of Jefferson High School. He was a member of the 9th Platoon in the U. S. Army serving in the Vietname War, where he received the Purple Heart, multiple Army Commendation Medals and Bronze Star Medals.
He was a member of Tuscan Lodge #342 F. & A. M. Larry enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, archery, dirt bikes and four-wheelers. He loved his pets and animals and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include four children, Kristen L. Kobella of Willoughby, Michael D. (Stephanie) Kobella of Chesterland, Amanda L. (Mike) Milinski of Rock Creek & Larry D. Kobella, II of Jefferson, four grandchildren, Cecilia, Sylvia, Makenzie & Mason, a brother, Robert J. Kobella of Jefferson and two sisters, Donna Mae L. Prindle of Orwell & Diana Margaret E. Jackson of Conneaut.
A visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Memorial contributions may be directed to In-Country Vietnam Veterans, c/o Ed Harcourt, P. O. Box 97, Unionville, OH 44088.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday in Oakdale Cemetery with American Legion Post #103 offering full military honors.

Virginia B Wetherbee
April 14, 1933 - August 26, 2013
Services: August 30th, 2013 at 12:00 PM
Virginia B. Wetherbee, 80 of State Rd. Ashtabula died Monday (August 26th) at her home. She was born April 14, 1933 at Rays Corners in Lenox Township the daughter of Marion and Gertrude O’Dell (Gray) Chapin.
She was a Life Member of the VFW Posy #943 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid football fan of The Ohio State University and the Cleveland Browns. She enjoyed NASCAR racing especially Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, camping, her birds but especially her family and grandchildren.
Surviving her are two sons, Douglas and Ronald Wetherbee of Ashtabula; three daughters, Debra Hoback of Conneaut, Robin (Lawrence) Wetherbee Hartmann of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ronda (Tom) Augustine of Ashtabula; thirteen grandchildren;; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great – grandchild on the way; a brother, Cecil (Nancy) Chapin of Englewood, Florida and two sisters, Judith Boswell of Bonifay, Florida and Jeanette (Lenny) Loken of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William in 1994.
Funeral service will be Friday (August 30th) at 12:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Shane Nanney of the East Side Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will be in GreenLawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 or to the VFW Post #943 Ladies Auxiliary, 4102 Main Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
