Ruth C. McNally, SFO, age 76, S. Ridge E., Ashtabula, died Sunday morning at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born August 15, 1932 in El Paso, TX, the daughter of Ralph & Marian (Raymond) Campbell and has been a resident of Ashtabula Co. since 1972, coming from Columbus. She was married to Thomas M. McNally, I, on January 19, 1952 in Tucson, AZ. Mrs. McNally was a retired employee of the General Electric Corp.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and the Secular Franciscan Order. She enjoyed bingo, scrabble, playing games and being involved will all family activities.
Survivors include seven children, Msgt. Retired Thomas M. (Lisa) McNally, II of Apache Junction, AZ, Paul E. (Chris) McNally of Ashtabula, Constance A. (Harry) Smith of Sheffield Twp., Pamela D. (Steven Kunselman) McNally & Susan B. (Edward) Melaragno, both of N. Kingsville, John J. (Shannon) McNally, II of Uniontown & Mary T. (Scott) Ott of Ashtabula, 23 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, five sisters, Patricia Mauler of Tucson, AZ, Shirley Mauler of Mesa, AZ, Lynn Stockbridge of Oro Valley, AZ, Sharon Coombs of Texas & Catherine Hall of Portland, OR, two half-sisters, Betty Marie Campbell & Norma Jean Campbell, both of Arizona & two half-brothers, Ralph E. Campbell of South Carolina & David K. Campbell of Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas in 1993, a son, James Patrick McNally & a granddaughter, Mary Catherine Smith.
The funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:30 A. M. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 3700 St. Rt. 193, Sheffield Twp. with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Wassie officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004. Guest register book and obituary on-line at fleming-billman.com.

Lloyd A. Lafferty
February 7, 1906 - February 1, 2009

Lloyd A. Lafferty Lloyd A. Lafferty, 102 of Highland Ave. Saybrook Township died Sunday (Feb. 1st) at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. He was born February 7, 1906 in Kingsville the son of Burdette and Alice (Merriman) Lafferty and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a Deputy Sheriff for Ashtabula County for 30 years and then was a Park Ranger at the Geneva State Park. He and his wife also owned a hobby shop in Geneva.
He was a active member of BPOE #208 in Ashtabula where he enjoyed playing cards every week. He was also a member of the Pymatuning Boat Club. He enjoyed boating, playing pool and bowling.
He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Lafferty of Ephrata, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Jon, Jim, Michelle, Craig; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vera E. Lafferty in 1995; two daughters, Sally Ann Lafferty and Nancy Lebennes; two sisters, Eleanor and Evelyn and a brother, Ted.
Funeral service will be Sunday (Feb. 8th) at 3:00 PM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Johnnie Swann of the Plymouth United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in East Lake Cemetery in North Kingsville, Ohio on Monday.
Calling hour will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Donna M. Legge
August 1, 1942 - January 30, 2009
Services: February 6th, 2009 at 3:00 PM
Donna M. Legge, age 66, Dawsey Rd., Trumbull Twp., died early Friday morning, January 30, 2009 at the UHHS-Geneva Medical Center following complications of emphysema.
She was born August 1, 1942 in Cleveland, the daughter of Russell & Marie (McMorrow) Retallick and has lived in this area since 1977, coming from Mentor. She was a graduate of Euclid High School and was married to Mario A. Legge on November 7, 1964 at St. William’s Church in Euclid.
Mrs. Legge drove a school bus in the Mentor School System from 1975-77, then for the Jefferson Area School System from 1977 until her retirement in 1994.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Orwell where she served on the Prayer Chain. She loved to bake and cook and host Sunday spaghetti dinner. She was a “taxi driver” the past 10 years, running grandchildren to various places they needed to be. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always thought of everyone before herself. She had the patience of a saint and a very loving heart. She taught her children to always forgive and never let a day go by without making sure she said “I love you”.
Survivors include three children, James P. ( Tracy Egner) Legge of Sheffield Twp., Joann M. (Christopher) Justus of Trumbull Twp. & Anita J. (Marc) Stringfellow of New Lyme Twp., four grandchildren, Michael & Hannah Justus and Austin & Maria Stringfellow, brother, James (Mary Ann) Retallick of Geneva, half-sister, Dorothy (Robert) Bosworth of Oro Valley, AZ. & dear friend and companion, Mike Mitchell of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mario in 2003, daughter, Beth Boeskin in 2006 and half-brother, Robert Stoiber.
A memorial mass will be held Friday at 3:00 P. M. at St. Mary’s Church, 103 N. Maple St., Orwell, OH 44076 with the Rev. Fr. Gregory Fedor officiating. Burial will follow in Brownville Cemetery, New Lyme Twp. Following the graveside service, there will be a gathering of friends and family at St. Mary’s hall behind the church, for food and fellowship. Visitation will be held at the church from 2-3 P. M. prior to the service. The Jefferson Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the church at the above address.
The family would like to give special thanks to the ICU staff at the UHHS-Geneva Medical Center for their tender care and mercy during her last few days with us.

Leo Tempka
Leo "Tim" F. Tempka, 88, of Riley Road, Bridgeport, Ohio, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at the home of his sister.
Leo was born April 10, 1915 at Bridgeport, the son of the late Joseph and Veronica Ciszonik Tempka.
He was a retired employee of the former Blaw-Knox Foundry in Wheeling, a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Bridgeport Eagles Aerie 995, the Bridgeport Foresters, and the P.N.A. Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Tempka.
Surviving are his brother, John Tempka of Glen View, Illinois; his sister, Mary Norwood, of Bridgeport, Ohio; his six nieces and nephews, Jerry Norwood and his wife, Diana of Bridgeport, Joseph Norwood and his wife Genie of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mary Ann Kurz and her husband, Bob, of Wheeling, W. Va., Amrigail Tempka, John Tempka, Jr., and Holly Tempka, all of Glen View, Ill., and five great nieces.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, at 3:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas C. Petronek, celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.

Fred L. Cook
Fred L. Cook, 80, Barnesville, died Monday at his home. He was born March 5, 1923 in Barnesville, son the late Clarence F. and Ella L. Cook.
Fred was a retired Realtor, member of First United Methodist Church and an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was Past District Deputy and Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE # 1699; a Charter Member and Past President of Barnesville Kiwanis; Life Member and Past President of VFW Post 2792 and American Legion Post 168.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and John W. "Jack" Cook.
Surviving are his wife, Joanne Lloyd Cook; two daughters, Susan (Stephen) Stewart of Birmingham, Ala., and Elizabeth (Timothy) McKelvey of Barnesville; sister, Frances Parker of Denver, Col.; four grandchildren, Emily Gardner, David Grimes, Sara McKelvey, and Lindsey McKelvey and one great - granddaughter, Chelsea Grimes.
Visitation, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and services will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, at Campbell - Plumly -Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial follows in Crestview Cemetery.

William Meigh
William "Red" Meigh, 91, of Warwood, formerly of Tulip Lane, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at the Bishop Joseph Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born Feb. 18, 1912 at Stoke-on-Trent, England, the son of the late Albert and Jane Hawkins Meigh.
Bill was a retird employee of the Blaw-Knox Foundry of Wheeling, W.Va. and a handyman to all who needed him; a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry, a 50-year member of the Martins Ferry Eagles, the PNA Lodge and the Redmans Club.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jones Meigh; a brother, James Meigh; two sisters, Jennie Neuhardt and Florence Meigh.
Bill is survived by a son, William "Bill" Meigh and his wife Dotty of Lansing; two granddaughters, Beth Meigh of Bridgeport and Marty Baugh and her husband, Chad of St. Clairsville; two great-grand- daughters, Cassi and Taylor Baugh, a sister-in-law, Edith Meigh of Wolfhurst; three nieces, Paula Ward, Elaine Jewell and Marilyn Kinnison.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Norma Needham
Norma Kaye Needham, age 56 of Columbus passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jessie M. (Norris) Harris.
Survived by sons, Donald Palmer of Mansfield, Marshall Needham of England; daughter, Angel Patterson of Martins Ferry; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; brothers, Clarnece, James and John Harris; sister, Tammy Harris.
Private family service.
Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, Columbus, is in charge.

Clara Sinfield
Clara Sinfield, 89, Canal Fulton, Ohio, formerly of Hopedale, Ohio died Monday, September 22, 2003 at Massillon Community Hospital.
Calling hours are Tuesday, 6-8 and Wednesday from 11 until time of service at 1 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.
