Carrie E. Kemp
Carrie E. Kemp, 89, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003 at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Nov. 14, 1913, to the late Marion and Alice (Morgan) Paden.
Carrie was a member of the First Brethren Church in Louisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kemp in 1997; a daughter, Alice Wehr; a grandson, Gary Wehr; two sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, June and William Millard of Gerald, Mo., Sally and Rolland Stephen of Hagerstown, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert M. and Joan Kemp of Louisville; 14 grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; and three great - great - grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Rev. James Koontz officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and one hour before services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Louisville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Brethren Church in Louisville.

Betty Manuilow
Betty Manuilow, 78. On occasion, one should wait until the day ends to see just how magnificent the day has been.
The truly magnificent life of Betty Lea Greenwood Manuilow ended Thursday evening, Sept. 25, 2003, at 10:30 p.m.
She was surrounded by her family and loving friends.
She was a resident of 337 12th Street, Bellaire.
Betty was born May 11, 1925 in Bellaire, a daughter of the late Jack and Suzie Eberling Greenwood.
She was a member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; Jack, Albert and William Greenwood, two sisters; Beatrice DeBlasis and Irene Green.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years Andy, two sons; George (Linda) Manuilow of Superstition Mountain, Ariz., and Frederick (Susan) Manuilow of Port Huron, Mich., a sister Jeanette (Robert) Hill of Bellaire, seven grandchildren, a great-grandson, niece, Shirley and Wayne Eikleberry of Bellaire, family friend Joe Smith of Shadyside and all her friends in Christ.
Friends received Sunday noon - 4 p.m., and 6 - 8 p.m., at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th St., Bellaire. Friends received Monday at the South Bellaire United Methodist Church 2298 Belmont St., Bellaire, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Randy Cetorelli officiating. Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions to South Bellaire United Methodist Church.

Walter E. Sagrilla
Walter E. Sagrilla, 82, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was born March 25, 1921, the son of the late Eumenio and Antionette Dalpos Sagrilla.
Walter retired from Consolidated Mine Corporation, the Franklin Mine, a veteran of the Army, World War II, and a member of the Piney Fork American Legion and St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, Ohio.
Walter is survived by his wife, Virginia Russo Sagrilla, three daughters, Cathy Hecker and her husband, Dennis of Columbus, Ohio; Sandy Fisher and her husband Scott of Barnesville, Ohio; Toni Sagrilla and her husband Greg McCormack of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Anthony Sagrilla and his wife Virginia of Wintersville, Ohio; one sister, Dolores Sebastian and her husband Egildo of Dillonvale, Ohio; one grandson, Sean Hecker of Columbus, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at 10 a.m., at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Dillonvale, Ohio, with Monsignor John C. Kolesar, celebrant. Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio, with military services performed by the Piney Fork American Legion. Vigil services, Thursday, at 7:45 p.m., in the funeral home.

Mary Shemenski
Mary Shemenski, 89, formerly of N. 9th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at her residence in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, Aug. 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Klein) Bazar.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Donnie Bazar.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph J. Shemenski; three sons, Joseph and his wife, Patricia of Warrington, Pa., James and his wife Carol of Johnston, R.I., Kenneth and his wife Johanna of Newcomerstown, Ohio; one daughter, Mary Kay Howard and her husband, Kenneth of Johnston, R.I.; six brothers, Joseph (twin), Frank, George, William, Thomas, and Raymond Bazar; four sisters, Helen Doughty, Viiolet Padgelek, Goldie Gray and Delores George. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 614 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, where friends will be received Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 27th, with Rev. Thomas A. Magary as the celebrant.
Mausoleum Encryptment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mausoleum, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Wake services will be held, Friday, 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

ROSE S. SNEZEK
April 29, 1912-----August 13, 2001
ROSE SYLVIA SNEZEK, 89, of Broadway Street, Martins Ferry, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
She was born in Lansing, Ohio, on Monday, April 29, 1912, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Kaminski Bondzeleske.
She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church and also a member of the Catholic Daughters and Catholic Womens Club, all of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sadie Siecinski and Helen Brink and a brother, Chester Bondzeleske.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Snezek; a son, Chester J., husband of Maryanna Snezek and one daughter, Sylvia R., wife of Edward Baran, all of Martins Ferry. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral liturgy with Mass was celebrated Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, with Rev. Father Thomas Magary the celebrant.
Mausoleum encryptment was held in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, W. Va.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or S.M.C. 2000, 20 N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935

JOSEPH P. SNEZEK
December 6, 1911----August 19, 2001
JOSEPH P. SNEZEK, 89, of Broadway Street, Martins Ferry, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at his residence.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1911, a son of the late George and Rosalija Kuznar Snezek.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and was a retired press operator at the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose S. Bondzeleske Snezek, Aug. 13, 2001 and also two brothers, John and Pete Sezek.
He is survived by his son, Chester J., husband of Maryanna Snezek and daughter, Sylvia R., wife of Edward Baran, both of Martins Ferry and one sister, Jean, wife of Paul Tetzel, Akron. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Wednesday Aug. 22, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, with the Rev. Father Thomas Magary, the celebrant.
Mausoleum encryptment was held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, W. Va.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or S.M.C. 2000, 20N. 4th Street., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

JOHN E. FONZIE SNYDER
JOHN E. FONZIE SNYDER, 44, of South 10th Street, Martins Ferry, died Wednesday, September 5, 2001 as a result of an automobile accident on State Rt. 647 outside of Martins Ferry.
John was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on Friday, January 11, 1957, the son of the late John Snyder and Georgia May Smith Blackburn who survives him of Bellaire, Ohio.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, J. E. Belot Snyder.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kathleen Belot Snyder; two daughter; Janae Kristin Snyder and Shayla Kathryn Snyder of the home; mother-in-law, Diana C. Belot; sister-in-law, Buffy Belot; brother-in-law, Brad Belot, all of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Rhonda Snyder McGary of Toronto, Ohio and Rebecca Cruse Gaughan, Martins Ferry; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home, Monday, September 10, 2001, at 1 p.m., with Rev. William Webster officiating.
