Dorothy Brubaker
Dorothy Gayle Brubaker, 79, of Tampa, Fl., formerly of Clarington, Ohio died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 in University Community Hospital, Tampa, Fl.
She was born Nov. 12, 1924 in Clarington, the daughter of the late Clifford and Freda Dietrich Henthorn.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and Rebecca Lodge, Clarington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Brubaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Jones of Mannington, W.Va.; a grandson, Jason Schnegg of Tampa, Fl.; and two sisters, June Allen of Wheeling, W.Va and Ruth Smith of Tampa, Fl.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Dr., Clarington with Reverend Donald Hitchcock officiating. Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, 106 Shepherd Place, Clarington, Ohio 43915.

Charles Garlinger, Sr.
Charles C. Garlinger, Sr., 66, of Main Street, Smithfield, Ohio died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
Charles was born Dec. 29, 1937 in Holloway, Ohio son of the late Charles and Ruth Ann Gillium Garlinger. Charles was a retired auto mechanic, employed by Sabitini Auto Service & Sales in Smithfield for over 40 years. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Smithfield, the Mingo Knights of Columbus, and the Smithfield Historical Society.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Joanne Leatherman Garlinger in 1979.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Clouston Garlinger, whom he married July 15, 1995; three sons, Charles C. (Mary Carol) Garlinger, Jr., of Hopedale, Richard L. (Leah) Garlinger and John (Brenda) Garlinger all of Martins Ferry; one daughter, Lorrie Anne Garlinger of Dillonvale; one stepson, John A. (Teresa) Clouston of Smithfield; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald E. (Henrietta) Garlinger of Hopedale and Larry (Susan) Garlinger of St. Clairsville.
Friends and family may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St., Smithfield. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Father A. Donald Mantica will be the celebrant and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery. Vigil services will be on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, P.O. Box 453, Smithfield, Ohio 43948.

Mary Jane Stolze
Mary Jane Porter Stolze, 92, formerly of Wheeling, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at Heartland Lansing Care Center.
She was born April 7, 1911 in Bridgeport, Ohio, the daughter of the late William R. Porter and Caroline (Carrie) Heusel Porter.
Mary Jane was a retired salesperson for the former Kresge's 5 & 10 of Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Bertrem Lee Stolze; five brothers, Howard, Paul, William, John and Irvin Porter and four sisters, Lelia Harter, Ruth, Evelyn and Grace Porter.
Surviving are three brothers, James and Arthur Porter both of Wheeling and Charles Porter of Alliance, Ohio; one sister, Sarah (Betty) Yurkovitch of Port Charlotte, Fl., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary Janes visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of her service at 4 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, Ohio, with the Reverend Earnest Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tender Loving Care Hospice, 1231 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, W.Va. 26003.

Michael 'Mickey' Eickleberry
Michael Richard "Mikey" Eickleberry, 23, of Hopedale, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Harrison Community Hospital, the result of a work related accident.
He was born Oct. 19, 1980 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of Michael and Cathy Hawkins Eickleberry, with whom he resided.
Mikey graduated from the Harrison Career Center in 1999, he was active in FFA and 4-H. He was a varsity wrestler and football player for the Cadiz Cardinals. He was an avid hunter and rode and showed horses. As a child, he played T-ball and baseball, and was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout. He was a former member of ABATE, Region 1. He was a mechanic and was a member of the Hopedale United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, S. Raymond and Mary Elizabeth Eickleberry; maternal grandfather, Richard S. Hawkins; great grandparents, Wayne S. Snyder, James F. Myers, Rose Hawkins and John O. Hawkins; and two uncles, Ross Eickleberry and Clifford David Eickleberry.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Carrie Ann Eickleberry of Columbus; maternal grandmother, Catherine Hawkins Farnsworth of Hopedale; two great grandmothers, Lillie Myers of Wintersville and Florence Snyder of Texas; his girlfriend, Brandy Nipper of Scio; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. David (Rebecca) Chancey, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Patricia) Cline, Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Sarah) Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dean (Carolyn) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Ott, Mr. Howard Eickleberry (Elizabeth), Mr. and Mrs. David (Bernice) Eickleberry, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey (Judy) Eickleberry, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Linda) Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Barb) Eickleberry, Mr. Herman Eickleberry, Mr. Raymond Dean Eickleberry, and Mrs. Thelma (Clifford D.) Eickleberry; several great aunts and great uncles; 39 first cousins; numerous second cousins and many other relatives and dear friends.
Friends may call Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hopedale United Methodist Church with Reverend William Westling and Reverend Robert Hooker officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hopedale United Methodist Church.

Raymond Mick
Raymond Thomas Mick, 67, of Grove City, Ohio died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 at the Montenary Care Center in Grove City.
He was born Dec. 12, 1936 in Midway, Ohio a son of Anna Margaret Troyanovich Mick and the late Steve Mick.
He was a retired employee of Ameritech, a Russian Orthodox, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of American Legion Post 164, and Elks Lodge # 37 of Grove City.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Mick.
Surviving in addition to his mother of St. Clairsville, Ohio are an uncle, Andy Troyanovich of New Athens, Ohio; three aunts, Barb Mudrak and Irene Troyanovich of Flushing, Ohio, Becky Tokar of Garfield Heights, Ohio; sister-in-law, Wanda Mick of Louisville, Ky.; a niece, Julie and nephew, Steve; a great niece; several cousins and dear friends, Jean Cotton and Tom Ryle of Grove City.
Private services were held Monday at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Father Michael Kabel officiating. Burial followed in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Barton, Ohio 43905.

Ralph 'Woody' Sancreek, Jr.
Ralph "Woody Sancreek, Jr., 61, of Seymour, Tn., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004.
He was a member of the Western Band of the Cherokee Indians; American Legion Post #682; a 40-8 member; and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an alter boy at St. Casmir's Catholic Church in Adena, Ohio. Mr. Sancreek was a coal miner and owner of Great American Fur Company.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Sancreek, Sr.
Surviving are five children, Kelly Sancreek, Hopedale, Ohio, Lambrey, Meriah, Malachi and Eziekiel Sancreek, all of Sevierville, Tn.; his mother Lena Sancreek; a brother Richard Sancreek; five sisters, Patricia, Sandra, Karen, Deione, and Kem; his special companion, Reba Click, and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m., Sunday with memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, Tn., with Reverend Rick Joyce and Reverend Tony Hulsey officiating.
An additional memorial service will be held in Cadiz, Ohio at Borkoski's Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Feb. 14. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Mt.Pleasant,Ohio.

Catherine Bigler
Catherine Elizabeth Bigler, 92, of Armstrong-Centerville Road, Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 in the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 30, 1911 in Marion, Ohio, a daughter of the late James Blaine and Freda Lenora Cowan (Jeffers) Jeffries.
Catherine was a retired elementary-kindergarten teacher with the Powhatan-York School System, a member of Eastern Star Captina Chapter #489. She was known in Powhatan for her love of quilting and Azalea gardening. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Bigler, Sr., a sister Margaret Belle Jeffries; three brothers, George Jeffries, Phon Jeffers and Glenn Jeffries.
Surviving are a son, H. Melvin Bigler, Jr., and his wife, Mattie, of Jacobsburg; a daughter, Arlene Lucas and her husband, Jim of Pittsburgh; a brother, Woodrow Jeffers and his wife Elizabeth, of Powhatan Point; a granddaughter, Cindy Hughes and her husband, Dustin of Powhatan Point; four great grandchildren, Jessica Allen, Justin Allen, Bailey Hughes and Hunter Hughes, all of Powhatan Point.
Friends received Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bauknecht - Altmeyer Funeral Home, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, with Lorna Knight officiating.
Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Powhatan Elementary School Library.
Eastern Star services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home.

Leland Schrickel
Leland S. Schrickel, 85, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 in Wheeling Hospital.
Leland was born Feb. 18, 1919 at Dillonvale, Ohio, the son of the late Albert and Emma Zoechler Schrickel.
He was a retired supervisor for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad, a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church, St. Clairsville; a member of the Smithfield Lodge 182, F. & A.M., 32 second degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Steubenville; was active in the Gideons and a member of the Colerain Ruritan Club.
In addition to his parents, Leland was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Turkal Schrickel on Jan. 13, 2002; three brothers, Melvin, Kenneth and Howard Schrickel; a sister, Alberta Fields.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Christine Schrickel of St. Clairsville; his daughter and son-in-law Sheila and James Stewart of Canton, Ohio; his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Carol Schrickel of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio; his sister, Velma Hauner of Massillon, Ohio; his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Valerie and Douglas and their children, Jamie and Joseph; Kathy and Robert and their children, Brittany and Hannah; Brian and Andrea and their daughter, Claire; Brady and his fiancee Danielle; Jonathan and Erin and their children, Adam and Zachary; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Kim Anderson, officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Leland's memory to the Thoburn United Methodist Church Building Fund, 101 N. Market St., P.O. BOx 4, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
