Ola Miller
Ola L. Miller, 88, Barnesville, Ohio, died Sunday in Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1915, daughter of the late Robert L. and Lillie Mae (Byrd) Parsons.
She was a retired Real Estate Agent and Interior Decorator.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Miller; son, Robert Rust; brother, Robert Parsons and sister, Jane Powell.
Surviving are a daughter, Bette Stegeman of Cincinnati; a brother, Earl Parsons of Williamstown, Kentucky; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services, 1 p.m., Friday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Arrangements by Campbell- Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.

Alexander Stanek
Alexander F. Stanek, 84, of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Bellaire, Ohio, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004 at the Oak Hill Hospital, in Brooksville, Florida.
He was born Feb. 27, 1919 in Stewartsville, Ohio, a son of the late Mike and Josephine Guzick Stanek.
Alex was a retired music teacher with the Bellaire High School, a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Brooskville. He was a member of the American Federation Order of Musicians Local 142, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus in Brooksville and Bellaire, Wheeling and Hernando Symphonys, Brooksville Golf and County Club, Daystar of Brooksville and the choir at St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mary R. Baudo Stanek, two sons, Michael Stanek of Brooksville, Florida and Alex John Stanek of Roanoke, Va.; three daughters, Rosanna Connors of Pittsburgh, Pa., Alecia Hathaway of Martins Ferry, and Mary Jo Plute of Bellaire, Ohio; two sisters, Mary G. Rudish and Sophia Frites, both of Brooksville, Florida and 12 grandchildren.
Alex's family will celebrate his life with friends at a memorial visitation at the Bauknecht - Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio, on Saturday, March 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass with Liturgy at the St. John Catholic Church with Monsignor Stanley Zeakes, the celebrant. Inurnment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
An Honor Guard in memory of Alex will be provided by the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council 1246 in Bellaire.

Helen Snodgrass
Helen B. (Cramer) Snodgrass. Born Dec. 7, 1916, Wheeling, W. Va. Lived at Ohio Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio, since 1942.
She spent the final three years of her life at Midway Manor in Uniontown, Ohio and died at Akron City Hospital, March 2, 2004.
Pre-deceased by parents, Julia (Gingaleski) and Waclau Krasnicki.
Husbands, Ralph W. Carmer, first husband and Robert L. Snodgrass, second husband.
Two sisters, Sally (Vince) Mullaney and Julia (Michael) Pobolish and two brothers, Alfonse Krasnicki and Raymond Smith. A son, R. William (Bill) Cramer.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, C. Michele (Jay) MacGregor; a daughter-in-law, Marlena J. Cramer; two sisters, Victoria (Frank) Vass and Mary (Joseph) Emery; one brother, Julius (Mary Ann) Dziewatkoski; nephews: Carl and Chris Emery, Frederick Vass, Julius, Nicholas and Michael Dziewatkoski; nieces: Katherine (Raphael) Chirinos, Anna (Mark) Salvaterra, Patricia (Brian) Bisbocci, Theresa (Mark) Buzek and Elaine (Michael) Roshak; grandchildren: Maura (Drew) Lattocha, Gretchen Lucas, Christopher Cramer, Megan M. MacGregor, Ian C. MacGregor and Julia N. MacGregor; great-grandchildren: Andrew and Aaron Lattocha, William Cramer and Eleanor and Benjamin Lucas. Many great nephews and nieces.
She held many jobs but retired fro the Post Office after 20 years of service. Very active in the Church where she was a life long member, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville. PTA of St. Joseph School, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Francis Society. Taught CCD for many years. Special Olympics. She was involved in all aspects of Church life.
Visitation will be held Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday morning at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, with Monsignor George Coyne and Monsignor Thomas Petronek concelebrating.
Burial follows at Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.
Vigil service, 8:30 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Helen to the St. Joe's Church in lieu of flowers.

Eugene Merkel
Eugene Y. Merkel, 81, Mound Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born July 3, 1922 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Harry J. and Mildred Yost Merkel.
He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Mingo Junction plant in the blast furnace department.
He was a member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church, an Athletic Booster, serving as treasurer for Warren Consolidated, Buckeye South and Buckeye Local High Schools; an equipment handler for the football team for 25 years and shot the game videos for the boy's and girl's baseball games for over 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Merkel.
Surviving are his wife, (Elsie) "Jane" Gosnell Merkel; two sons, David Merkel, Tiltonsville and Dan L. Merkel and his wife, Janet, Findlay, Ohio; one brother, Weldon Merkel and his wife, Eunice, Tiltonsville; a granddaughter, Jayne M. Merkel, Findlay, Ohio.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville and on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Tom Thomas will officiate. Burial follows at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckeye Local Athletic Department or the charity of the donor's choice.

Delwin Henderson
Delwin W. "Tiny" Henderson, 66, of Ayers Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born April 16, 1937 at St. Clairsville, a son of Merle and Elizabeth Cline Henderson.
Tiny was the owner-operator of the Willow Restaurant, a former employee of Consol Coal Co., and a former Heavy Equipment Instructor at Belmont Technical College and a Protestant by faith.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Henderson.
Surviving in addition to his parents of St. Clairsville, are his wife, Jo Ann Holyak Henderson, also of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Jill Henderson of Bethesda, Ohio; two sons, Jan "Bubba" Henderson of Shadyside, Ohio and Jay Henderson of Phillipi, W.Va.; a brother, Ronald Henderson of Kiawah Island, S.C. and nine grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Beck Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating.
Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road West, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.

Cody A. Bishop
Cody A. Bishop, 9, of Main St., Tiltonsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at West Virginia University Hospital, Medical Center, Morgantown, W. Va.
He was born Sept. 16, 1994 in Wheeling, a son of Michael J. and Betty Ann (Hosso) Bishop.
Cody was a student at the School of Bright Promise, Steubenville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Bishop.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Tiltonsville, are a sister, Michelle Bishop of Yorkville; two brothers, Scott Bishop of the home and Michael Bishop, Jr. of Colerain, paternal grandmother, Roberta Bishop of Chillicothe, maternal grand- parents, John and Kathryn Hosso of Colerain; a nephew, Dylan Cost, and two nieces, Savana and Lilliana Bishop.
Friends will be received Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 11 a.m., with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Mabel Brunner
Mabel (Cookie) Brunner, 77 of Brunner Road, Jacobsburg was called home by the Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 21, 2004.
Cookie was born at Powhatan Point on March 12, 1927 a daughter of the late Lee (Bill) and Nancy Doty Baker.
She was a homemaker, a devoted mother of nine children and a member of the United Methodist Church at Jacobsburg.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd (Sam) Brunner; her children, Butch (Karen) Brunner; John Brunner; Gary (Beth) Brunner; Kathy (John) West; Melody (Jimmie) Ramsay and Christian (Renee) Brunner all of Jacobsburg; Randy (Mary) Brunner of Bannock; Teresa (Jim) Trigg of Armstrongs Mills and Crystal (Harry) Scott of Clarington. Cookie has 23 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Halbert (Fuzz) Baker; Francis (Bo) Baker; Kennard Baker; Aaron (Tim) Baker; Floyd (Sam) Baker all of Powhatan; Della Hranko; Velma Gallaher; Harold (Bud) Baker all of Shadyside; Harry Baker of Bellaire; Gladys Harlan of Jacobsburg; Wanda Mihalek and Naomi Mihalek of Pennsylvania.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Brunner Family Cemetery, Jacobsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 98 E. Cove Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
