Joseph Schaffee Nader
Joseph Schaffee Nader, 84, of Highland Beach, Fla., died Monday (July 30, 2001) at Boca Raton Community Hospital, Boca Raton, Fla.
He was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Cambridge, son of the late Joseph and Galeely (Gemayel) Nader.
Mr. Nader retired from the United States Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Labib Nader.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Ammar) Nader of the home; a daughter, Joellen Nader; a son, Michael Nader; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Nader; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Wake services will be 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with the Rev. Father Robert Borer serving as celebrant.
Dwight H. Perkins
CALDWELL — Dwight H. Perkins, 83, of Ava, died Tuesday (July 31, 2001) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville.
Arrangements are pending at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell.
Frederick D. “Fred” Nay services
NEWCOMERSTOWN — Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, for Frederick D. “Fred” Nay, 61, of Newcomerstown, who died suddenly Monday (July 30, 2001) at his home.
Pastor Don C. Gainer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Peoli Cemetery, Washington Township, Tuscarawas County.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Guernsey County, son of Mary Belle (Green) Nay, a resident of Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newcomerstown, and the late Marion Marshall “Marsh” Nay.
Mr. Nay was a 1958 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. He became an electrician as a result of taking correspondence courses. He worked as an electrician in the maintenance department of Simonds Industries in Newcomerstown for more than 38 years. Prior to that he was an employee of the former RCA facility in Cambridge.
He was a member of National Rifle Association (NRA) and the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
He enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, trapping, mushroom hunting and ginseng hunting. He also enjoyed making custom-built handmade muzzle loaders, fixing modern and antique guns and working on automobiles.
He leaves his wife, Margie Linn (Corbett) Nay, whom he married Feb. 16, 1971; two sons, Travis C. Nay and Chad Everett (Regina G. Wheeler) Nay, all of Newcomerstown; a daughter, Samantha Max Nay of the home; two grandsons; a step-son, Thomas LaRue (Rae Lynn) Corbett of Newcomerstown; and four step-grandchildren.

Riley "Junior" Blackstone
NEW CONCORD — Riley “Junior” Blackstone Jr., 66, of New Concord, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2001) at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville following a short illness.
He was born March 9, 1935, in Westland Township in Guernsey County, a son of the late Riley D. and Doris Lake Blackstone.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in New Concord. He was a retired maintenance worker with the Cambridge Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was presently self-employed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Blackstone, Alfred Blackstone and Richard Blackstone.
He leaves his wife Jane E. Knicely Blackstone, whom he married April 15, 1960; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Lisa I.) Kackley of Byesville and Amy J. Schwab of Dublin; three brothers, Vernon Blackstone of Cambridge, Paul Blackstone of Norwich and Henry Blackstone of Chandlersville; two grandsons, Ryan Kackley and Derek Kackley; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Mocker Miller Funeral Home in New Concord, where services will be 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Jerry Broschart officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery near Claysville.

Doris E. Busche
COLUMBUS — Doris E. Busche, 83, of Columbus, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2001).
She leaves a sister, Helen Gibson; two brothers, Paul W. Busche and Delbert W. Busche; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, where services will be 11:30 a.m. with evangelist David Myers officiating.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at New Concord Cemetery.

Mary Huff
BARNESVILLE — Mary Edith Huff, 92, of Covington and formerly of Barnesville, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2001) at Covington Care Center.
She was born Feb. 21, 1909 in Belmont County, a daughter of the Clyde H. and Mary Bell (Caldwell) Campbell.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Barnesville, where she served as a deacon. She was a graduate of Ohio University and a member of the Homemakers Club of Barnesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Edison Huff; and five brothers, William A., John E., Charles H., Harold P. and Donald T. Campbell.
She leaves two sons, Clifford Allen Huff of Mesa, Ariz., and Don Byron Huff of Cincinnati; a daughter, Mary Lou Kiser of Tipp City; a sister, Miranda Christy of Orlando, Fla.; and five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home in Barnesville. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Barnesville with the Rev. Andrew Woods and the Rev. John Arnold officiating.
Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
