He was born June 22, 1942, in Martins Ferry, son of the late Frank Barnes and Evelyn Flading Barnes.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Anthony Burger, a Gospel music pianist who played for the popular Gaither Homecoming shows and earned Dove Award nominations for his albums of instrumental music, collapsed and died Wednesday during a performance. He was 44.
