Harry R. Clark

Harry R. Clark, age 81, of North Canton died in his home August 5, after an extended illness.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Ford Motor Co.

He was a member of First Christian Church, Berean Sunday School Class and Keen Agers; AARP, and was a life member of Mended Hearts Assoc.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years G. Pauline of the home; daughters Paulette J. Bersaglini of Canton and Cathy Ann Volp of North Andover, MA; sons Harry R. Jr. and Kenneth L., both of North Canton and Richard G. of Medina; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Karlo & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Nathan officiating. Burial took place in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice, 4510 Dressler Rd. NW, Canton, OH, 44718.

Margaret L. (Nixon) Kane

Margaret L. (Nixon) Kane, age 92, died Tuesday, August 10 at Altercare of Canton.

She was a resident of the Canton area for most of her life. She retired from Hummel's IGA and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton where she was active with the quilting group and the Altar Society.

Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Doris Nixon of North Canton; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Luella Logan of Canton; a brother, Chester Nixon of Olympia WA; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Nixon of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kane in 1986 and a son, Gerald Nixon in 1993.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Fr. John Warner officiating. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.

Rosa Marie Dorsey

Rosa Marie (Gunther) Dorsey, age 63 of Canton, went home to be with the Lord after a five year battle with cancer on Sept. 24.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James, Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina of the home, Patricia (Dorsey) and James Wise, Jr., Kelly (Dorsey) and Jesse Delgado, Evelyn (Anna) Dorsey; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Connie Dorsey, Jr., Lury (Mick) Dorsey, of the home, Carmie Whitehair; sons-in-law, Delbert Fowler and Keith Marker.

She is also survived by nine grandsons and two granddaughters; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was a mother to all.

Funeral services were held at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home with Pastor David Downs and Pastor Russell Long officiating.

Burial took place in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Bank One of Minerva.

Keller H. Hurne

Keller H. Hurne, age 75 of Canton, passed away Sept. 26 at his home, after an extended illness.

The son of the late Joel and Coral Hurne, he was born in Canton on Jan. 14, 1924.

He was a charter member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, and a life member of both American Legion Post #44 and Floyd Hughes VFW Post #693. He graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1942 and served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II and one year in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

He was retired from the Union Metal Corporation after 39 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, of the home; sons Jeffrey of Canton and Gregory of Spartanburg, S.C.; and daughter, Nancy Hensley of Massillon; grandchildren, Tina and Jason Hurne of Spartanburg and Kristen and Kevin Hensley of Massillon.

Also surviving is a sister, Madeline Morris of North Canton.

Services were held at the Karlo and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. John States officiating.

Burial took place in North Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Commemorative Fund of the Congregational United Church of Christ, 1530 Easton Ave., NE, North Canton, OH 44721.

Maryalyce Landers

Maryalyce Landers, age 70, died Sept. 30 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen (Troschke) and Ray L. Sutton and sister Helen Altieri.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey Varnon Landers, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage; brother Ray Sutton and sisters, Clairice Gelzer and Susan Davis, all of North Canton; sister Jeanne Brown of TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home with Jim Gellaspie officiating. Interment took place in North Lawn Cemetery.

Grace Terrett

Grace Willaman Terrett, age 83, passed away Sept. 21, at the Legends of Massillon.

She was a lifelong resident of North Canton. She retired from Hoover Co.

She was preceded in death by parents Gertrude and Edwin Willaman; husband, Don Terrett; and brothers, Howard, Kenneth, Perc and Robert Willaman; and sister, Phyllis Sannes; daughter, Margaret Ann Pritchard; and grandson, Christopher Pritchard.

She is survived by great-grandson, Samuel Pritchard; and his mother, Kelly and sisters-in-law, Helen Willaman and Violet Willaman; many nieces and nephews.

At her request, her body was donated to Case Western Reserve.

Deloris M. Leckman

Deloris M. Leckman, age 70, of Canton, died Sunday, Oct. 31. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on Oct. 16 1929, and made her home in Canton for 50 years.

She was a devoted wife and mother and was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Viola Chambers and her daughters, Barbara and Debbie Leckman.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank Leckman; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ralph Douglas, daughter and close family member, Kathy Leckman and Sam Campanelli, all of Canton; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Leckman of Hopkinsville, Ky., her grandchildren, Frank Douglas, Genia Dorosky, Shaun Douglas, all of Canton, Tina Beavers of Paris, Candace Leckman and Michael Leckman of Kentucky; four great-grandchildren and sister Betty Platts of Helena, Mt.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home and the family's close friend, Fr. Charles Poore conducted the funeral service.

Interment took place in Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, Pa.

Patrick A. Ricciardi

Patrick A. Ricciardi, age 47, of North Canton, died Saturday, Oct. 30 at Mercy Medical Center.

He was a member of ASA, IARS, Critical Care Medicine and Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle, of the home; daughter, Erin and sons, Christopher and Matthew, all of the home; brothers Peter Ricciardi, Jr. of Wadsworth, Phillip Ricciardi of Randolph, Paul Ricciardi of Shelby, Perry Ricciardi of Wadsworth and Preston Ricciardi of Norton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mildred (Sitko) Ricciardi.

A Memorial Mass was held at St. Pauls' Catholic Church of North Canton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Goodwill Industries.

John R. Eschman II

John R. Eschman II, age 44, of Canton died Sunday, Feb. 27, following a lengthy illness. He was born June 19, 1955 in Massillon and had lived in Canton for the past 19 years.

He was a 1973 graduate of Tuslaw High School and a 1975 graduate of Stark State College of Technology.

He had been a groundskeeper for Doctors Hospital for 12 years and worked previously for Hammontree & Associates. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid bowler.

He is survived by his parents, John R. and Helen R. (Ridley) Eschman of Massillon, brother and sister-in-law, Edward L. and Peggy Eschman of Dalton, sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Steve Sumner of Colorado Springs, Colo., nieces Janet Shelton of Akron and Stephanie Meyer of Colorado, nephews, Michael Sumner of Colorado and Edward J. Eschman of North Lawrence and two great-nephews.

Funeral services were held at Heitger Funeral Service in Massillon, with Rev. Timothy Hull officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memory Gardens in North Canton.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes. Association, 225 W. Exchange St., Akron, Ohio 44302.

Anna M. Griffith

Anna M. Griffith, age 76, of Canton, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, in her home. She was a lifetime resident of Canton retired from Superior Dairy in 1990 after 30 years of service. She was an avid bowler for 35 years.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Hughes of Lake Isabella, Calif., Gail Schank of Canton and Brenda Parsons of Magnolia; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Walter, in 1994, one granddaughter, her parents, Samuel and Dessie Shepherd, a sister, Dorothy Powell and a brother, Tommy Shepherd.

Funeral services were held at the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home and interment took place in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
