Charles 'Roger' Kendall, country music performer
ELYRIA -- Charles "Roger" Kendall, 59, of Elyria, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at Northridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a lengthy illness. He was born June 22, 1947, in Stumptown, W.Va., and lived in Elyria since 1965. Kendall sang and played the guitar in country music performances with the Country Class and the Countrymen in years past, and also performed with his family, The Kendall Family, and Harmony Bluegrass and The Harris Family in churches in West Virginia. Locally he played with the Backporch Boys in Elyria and Grafton churches.
