Betty (O'Dell) Peterson
Betty (Miller) ('Dell) Peterson, age 78, of Norwalk, died Saturday evening, June 2, 2007 at Twilight Gardens Home in Norwalk.

She was born July 17, 1928 in Spencer, Ohio to the late Charles and Addie (Potts) Miller. She lived in Greenwich for many years and moved to Norwalk in 1946. She was also a member of the Milan Baptist Church and was a foster parent to 246 children in her lifetime.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Peterson, to whom she married November 7, 1992; children, Robert E. (Sue) O'Dell of New London, William O'Dell of Monroeville, Cheryl (Paul) Breitigan of Norwalk, Jeffrey O'Dell of Norwalk, and Scott O'Dell of Norwalk; sister, Lois (Bud) Teats of Greenwich; and brother, Ronald (Rose) Miller of Willard; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. O'Dell in 1986; and a sister, Evelyn Miller.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at
1:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenwich. Pastor Jamie Stewart of the Milan Baptist Church will be officiating.

Patricia Montgomery
Patricia A. Montgomery, age 64, of Collins, died late Monday evening, May 28, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

She was born February 20, 1943 in McDermott, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Montgomery of Collins; sons, Russell Lee Montgomery and Jerry Montgomery, both of Collins and Michael (Lisa) Montgomery of Norwalk; daughter Debra (Patrick) Grunnet of Norwalk; granddaughters, Brandy Pennell of Huron, Nikki, Rashelle and Kameo Montgomery, all of Norwalk; grandsons, Patrick and Kyle Montgomery, and Jeffrey and Joshua Lewis, all of Norwalk; great-granddaughters, Jane Pennell of Huron, Jasmine and Aurora Lewis and two on-the-way; brother, James Picklesimer of Lucasville; and sister, Wilma Noel of Pataskala; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also survived by her in-laws, Kenneth (Patricia) Montgomery, Edward (Sue) Montgomery, William (Kathy) Montgomery, Larry (Patricia) Montgomery, Linda Montgomery, Rosemary Montgomery, all of Lucasville, Patricia (Bret) Sloas of Cincinnati and Robert (Laura) Montgomery of Toledo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Ruth (Orin) Picklesimer; and a brother, Wilbur at birth.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Hartland Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements will be announced by the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Joan A. Mongillo
Joan A. (Schloss) Mongillo, 78 of Norwalk, died May 27, 2007 and Peter A. Mongillo, 85 of Norwalk, died January 23, 2007.

At the request of the deceased there are no public services, and are survived by their son, Robert John Wilson of Norwalk.

Private interment will be held in New Haven, Connecticut. Arrangements by the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Ralph F. Albright
Ralph F. Albright, age 84, of Norwalk, died late Monday evening, May 21, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

He was born May 16, 1923 in Willard and was a 1941 graduate of North Fairfield High School. He worked the family farm and was the owner and operator of Albright Equipment, Inc, a John Deere dealership until 1974. He then transitioned to an Agricultural Loan Officer and was a Vice President at National City Bank, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed golf and wintering at his home in North Fort Myers, Florida.

He was a member of the Norwalk Alliance Church and was a 32 degree Mason and member of Mt. Vernon Lodge 64 F&AM in Norwalk. He was also active with The Gideon's International. He was an avid collector of John Deere Miniature Farm Machinery. He was one of the original founders of the Heritage of Huron County and served as its President for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Faye L. Albright of Norwalk; daughters, Jeanne (Ken) Munns of Milan and Susan Green of Huron; son, Terry (Becky) Albright of Monroeville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; step-sons, David Stoldt and Curtis Stoldt, both of Norwalk and Bradley Stoldt of North Fort Myers, FL; three step-grandchildren, nine step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Clarice (Kurtz) Albright in 1980; brothers, Walter, Gerald and Allen Albright; grandson, Nathan Green; and a step-daughter, Barbara Kemming.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, where Masonic services will be held at 6:00 P.M.. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Mushett will officiate. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.

George O. Fish
George O. Fish, 83, passed away April 22, 2007 at Erie County Care Facility, Huron, Ohio. George previously lived with his daughter and son-in-law in Norwalk, Ohio for four years.
George was born on April 16, 1924 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Nina Vay and George R. Fish. Following graduation from Bendle High School in1924, he enlisted and served his country honorably during World War II from 1941 to 1944 in the U.S. Army as Sergeant with the 257th Field Artillery Battalion in Northern France and Central Europe earning numerous metals of distinction.
Following the war, George returned to Michigan and began working for the United States Postal System in Davison. In 1947 he married Maxine E. Alexander of Davison, Michigan and raised 2 children, Janell and Kevin. While working for the US Postal System, George and his late wife Maxine also owned and operated Northern Advertising and Mailing Company, located in Davison, Michigan. George retired from the United State Post Office in April of 1979 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Prior to moving to Bonita Springs to enjoy retirement, George married Shirley Simmington in 1986. While living in Bonita Springs, George enjoyed for many years the position of President of the Leisure Time Association and as a couple, enjoyed the position of Activities Directors.

George, nick-named by his children 'Grouper', loved painting with oils, especially landscapes with barns and portraits of flowers. He also enjoyed bird watching, loved the game of golf, casinos and chocolate treats! Dad's standing birthday dinner always consisted of coney dogs, fries, root beer and of course, apple pie for dessert! Dad had a fabulously quick wit, a big smile for everyone he came in contact with and an infectious sense of humor which touched everyone with laughter, whether a friend or stranger.

Mr. Fish was a long time member of the American Legion Post No. 267 in Davison, Michigan, Davison Country Club, The Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles of Durand, Michigan, the Elks Club and Moose Lodge of Bonita Springs, Florida. He had held the positions of City Councilman for the city of Davison, Michigan and also served as Postmaster of Davison, Michigan, along with active roles with the Rotary Club, Lions Club and other numerous affiliations throughout his professional business career as owner of Northern Advertising and Mailing Company.
George is survived by his loving daughter and husband, Janell and Paul Davenport of Bellevue, Ohio; son and wife, Kevin and Patricia Fish of Davison, Michigan; stepson and wife, Glenn Michael and Mary Simmington of Flint, Michigan; sister Mary Ann and husband John of Michigan, brothers Eugene and wife Joan of Michigan, Lyle and wife Jeri of Michigan, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews, dear friends and Dad's cat, 'Catfish'. You are loved and will be forever missed.

The family of Mr. Fish would like extend our sincerest appreciation and utmost gratitude to all the employees and our friends at Erie County Care Facility and Stein Hospice of Sandusky, Ohio for the loving embrace you gave our father and our family during the short time he was in your care. God Bless You All.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Flint, Michigan following a memorial service to be announced at a later date.

Clyde R. Bellamy
Clyde R. Bellamy, age 87, of Norwalk, died Friday, April 06, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

He was born April 28, 1919 at home in Olena. He was a graduate of North Fairfield High School and was a first-baseman for the baseball team. He served in the US Army Air Corps as a weatherman during World War II. He was a graduate of CIE Electronics School and worked many years in Norwalk as a television and electronic serviceman. He was a lifetime member of the Norwalk VFW Post 2743, Bronson-Norwalk Conservation League and former member of the American Mensa Limited Society.

He was a devoted and self-taught guitar player, playing years in local bands and helped initiate the Folk Choir at St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and sports. His quiet determination in life set an example to all whom knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary J. (Volk) Bellamy of Norwalk, whom he married in 1944 in Bismarck, North Dakota; five children and their spouses, Teresa (Donn) Rospert of Bellevue, Wayne (Debbie) Bellamy of Wilmington, Delaware, Mark (Pam) Bellamy of Marietta, Georgia, Tom (Deb) Bellamy of Pawley's Island, South Carolina and Mary Beth (Dave) Brookover of Winter Springs, Florida; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, Clarence Bellamy of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Rheorma (Jarrett) Bellamy.

Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, where a wake service will be held at 4:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with military honors.

Dorothy Mae Crawford
SHEFFIELD VILLAGE — Dorothy Mae Crawford (nee Salmon), 85 of Sheffield Village, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away suddenly at home, Friday, August 21, 2009.

Mrs. Crawford was born, August 13, 1924 in Lakewood and had lived in Sheffield Village since 1970.

Mrs. Crawford was a 1942 graduate of Lakewood High School and worked for over 50 years for the Federal Government Bureau of Labor Statistics as a Cost of Living Data Collector. She owned and operated Misty Acres Stables and served on Sheffield Village Council for 10 years. She was an active volunteer for Love-a-Stray Animal Rescue and a member of the Avon Lake Saddle Club.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by son Bruce Crawford (Jean) of Avon Lake, daughter Judy Crawford of Westlake; 4 grandchildren: Dodie Crawford-Benko (John), Rob Crawford (Heather), Brie Sopko (Tom) and Chelsea Crawford and 8 great grandchildren Laura, Abby, John, Kyle, Isobel, Ian, Blake and Andrew. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years Robert D. Crawford in 1999; parents Joseph and Florence (nee Rolling) Salmon and a sister Marie.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Tuesday, August 25, form 6:00-8:00pm and Wednesday, August 26 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home, Thursday at 10:00am. Rev. Kelly Brill of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.

Jennifer Alvarado
LORAIN — Jennifer Alvarado (nee Rodriguez), 54, of Lorain passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, in Lorian, following a brief illness.

She was born on September 23, 1954. Jennifer was employed as a bookkeeper for Ganobcik Lock Shop for many years. She loved animals, especially cats, and caring for people of all ages.

Survivors include her husband, Miguel A. Alvarado, Jr., daughter, Kris Emrich of Minnesota, granddaughter, Rachel, grandsons, Ryan and James, brother, Filiberto Rodriguez, of Puerto Rico, sister, Tuette Zebner of California, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bienbenida Rodriguez in April of 2008, and her father, Filiberto Rodriguez, 4 years ago.

All Services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Wyers Funeral Chapel, Sheffield Township.

Jennifer Alvarado
LORAIN — Jennifer Alvarado (nee Rodriguez), 54, of Lorain passed away Monday, August 10, 2009

She liked to sing, pray and visit the prisoners. She had a very generous spirit. Member/Secretary of Jesus the Way Church and Prison Ministry.

Memorial service will be on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, 2:30pm at Manantial Pentecostal (Brick/corner) 3501 Broadway, Lorain.
