Eleanor Ruth Bourisseau
(December 30, 1924 - April 5, 2012)
Eleanor Ruth Bourisseau (nee: Lewis), 87 years of age, a former resident of Chagrin Falls and Vermilion, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the home of her son in Mentor.

She was born December 30, 1924 in Solon, Ohio. Eleanor was raised in Chagrin Falls and graduated from Chagrin Falls High School before moving to the Lorain and Vermilion area in 1975 where she had made her home for the last thirty years.

Her primary focus in life was that of being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Eleanor was an excellent seamstress and used her talents along side those of her husband at their family owned business, Versakleen Dry Cleaners in Amherst. She had an artistic nature whether it be in designing and making her own clothing, painting or quilting. Eleanor exemplified the qualities of generosity, thoughtfulness, and class and leaves behind an inspiring example to those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years Zane U. Bourisseau; her sons Zane U. Bourisseau, Jr. of Mentor, James P. Bourisseau of Vermilion, daughter Heidi A. Houde of Cleveland; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Alice Vince, Mary Smith and by her parents James Wilder and Magdalene Lewis (nee: Kinsey).

Services held privately by the family.

Richard P Willard
(July 19, 1936 - April 9, 2012)
U.S. Veteran
Richard P. Willard, 75 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday. April 9, 2012 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain.

He was born July 19, 1936 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Richard had made his home in Lorain for fifty years.

He proudly served in the United States Army. Richard was employed in the maintenance department at Ford Motor Company in Lorain for thirty-seven years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst. Richard enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their sporting events. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his sons and their wives Matthew P. and Joanne Willard of Sheffield Village, Eric A. and Rebecca Willard of North Ridgeville; his daughter and her husband Belinda Willard and Richard Edgington of Olmsted Falls, eight grandchildren; his brother and wife George and Sharon Willard of Day Brook, West Virginia; and his sister and her husband Mary Sue and Fane Tennant of Day Brook, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-eight years Bea F. Willard on May 7, 2005; sister Betty Lou Saab and by his parents Jesse and Laura Willard (nee: Varner).

Friends may call Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Terrance Adamson pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Life Hospice Center; 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, OH 44035.

Robyn Elaine Churchill
(October 3, 1961 - April 8, 2012)
Robyn Elaine Churchill (nee: May), beloved wife of John Clinton Churchill, was gathered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 8th, 2012, early Easter morning. The passing occurred at her home in Wakeman as she was surrounded by her loving family.

Robyn was born October 3, 1961 in Merced, CA., to parents Grove "Shorty" and Norma May (nee Poe). She was raised in Merced where she attended and graduated from High School. She went on to become a legal secretary for McCormick and Barstow LLP Attorneys at Law, where she served for over twenty years. In 2006 Robyn followed Gods leading to leave her home state of California and come to Wakeman, Ohio to be wed to her new found love John Clinton Churchill.

Throughout her life Robyn's activities and pursuits where constantly defined by her desire to honor God. She was passionate about her relationship with Jesus and telling others about Him. She was a member of the Chapel in Sandusky and loved studying Gods word and being involved with church and home based studies. She cherished the relationships that where formed in these places and longed to be an encouragement to all that she met. Robyn also enjoyed playing the piano, painting and creating memories by photographing her family.

Robyn leaves to cherish her memory not only her husband John and parents Grove and Norma but also step sons John and Paul Churchill both of South Amherst, OH; siblings Doyle, Randy and Jerry May all of Merced, CA.; as well as niece and nephews Amy Moorhead, Randy, Cody Chad, Joshua and Russell May.

A service of celebration will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Chapel in Sandusky, 4444 Galloway Rd, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. The Rev. Dave Brown, associate pastor of the Chapel will officiate.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any First Merit Bank in c/o the Robyn E. and John Churchill benevolent fund.

Robert George Beesing
(December 4, 1921 - April 10, 2012)
U.S. Veteran
Robert George Beesing, 90 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Amherst Manor following a lengthy illness.

He was born December 4, 1921 in Amherst, Ohio. Robert was a lifetime resident of Amherst. Robert proudly served in the United States Marines during World War II. He was employed at Griffith Blacktop as the plant superintendent before retiring in the early 80's. Robert was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst. He was also a member of the Interternational Union of Operating Engineers and the American Legion Post #118 in Amherst. Robert enjoyed the warm winters that he spent in Florida. His hobbies included bowling, golfing and working in his yard.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty-eight years Aletta Beesing (nee: Mays); his daughters and their husbands Mary and Dale Brocksieker of South Amherst, Sherri and Nelson Colon of Lorain; grandchildren Casey Colon, Dale (Catherine) Brocksieker, Jr.; great grandchildren Ty and Kalyn; sisters Phyllis Darakis of Amherst and Lois Manes and her husband Orville of Amherst.

He was preceded in death by his brother Roy Beesing due to injuries sustained during World War II, sister Norma Streicher; and his parents Leonard and Mary Beesing (nee: Pippert).

Friends may call Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson, pastor, will officiate. military Honors will be performed by the Amherst Veterans military Honor Guard. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst, OH 44001.

Norman "Skip" L. Watson
(August 15, 1943 - April 11, 2012)
U.S. Veteran
Norman L. "Skip" Watson, 68 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away, Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at EMH Healthcare Medical Center in Elyria, surrounded by his family and friends, following a sudden illness

He was born August 15, 1943 in Amherst, Ohio to Thomas and Dorothy Watson.

"Skip" attended Amherst Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany. Norm worked various jobs including Nabakowski Roofing and E&L Transport while starting his own business. He proudly owned and operated Normson Trailer Company for nearly forty years. He was an amazing, self-taught man who enjoyed the challenge of repairing anything. He loved driving his trucks and traveling to Las Vegas and especially Florida.

Norm will be sadly missed by his wife of twenty years Maryann (nee: Hanak); stepchildren Ronald Pence of Amherst, Amy (Rob) Keown of Sheffield Lake ; mother Dorothy Banks and his brother Larry Watson both of Amherst.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Watson.

Friends may call Sunday, April 15, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. David Hill, pastor of First Church in Oberlin, will officiate. military Honors will be performed by the Amherst Veterans military Honor Guard. Burial will be in New Russia Township Cemetery, New Russia Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Animal Protective League; 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.

Daniel J. Pohorence
(December 4, 1969 - April 12, 2012)
Daniel J. Pohorence, 42 of Amherst, went home to be at peace with the Lord during the second week of April, 2012.

Dan was born in Lorain, Ohio on Dec. 4, 1969 and was a life long resident of Amherst. He graduated from Marion L. Steele High School and JVS in 1988. He was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company in both Lorain and Avon Lake, Ohio. He was a true believer and proud member of the former Local 425 UAW and Local 2000 UAW unions.

Dan's family and friends will have countless fond memories of his many interests. He loved to garden with his mother. He spent hours restoring vintage bicycles. Dan was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed all sports. He loved the outdoors and spent many happy moments fishing and camping with his son D.J. His son was the love of his life. He loved the company of his family and all his nieces and nephew.

Dan is survived by his son Daniel (D.J.) Pohorence of Vermilion, Ohio; his mother LaRita Pohorence of Amherst, Ohio; his father and step mother Michael (Sharon) Pohorence of Wellington, Ohio; sister Cynthia (David) Dickel of Vermilion, Ohio; brothers, Jerry (Susan) Pohorence of Huron, Ohio, Patrick (Bonnie) Pohorence of Amherst, Ohio, and Larry Bishop of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, Megan, Emily, Sophie, and Grace Pohorence and Jadeyn Dickel; nephew Jordan Dickel; several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack and Sarah Lockard; by paternal grandparents Michael and Joan Pohorence; and by paternal uncle Jerry Pohorence.

The immediate family wishes to extend their heart felt appreciation to all their extended family and friends who offered support and condolences during this very difficult time.

In order to meet the needs of the family, services will be held privately followed by internment at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst, Ohio.

Clara L. Sexton
(December 23, 1925 - April 15, 2012)
Clara L. Sexton (nee: Wilson), 86 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Autumn Ages Nursing Home in Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 23, 1925 in Bristol, Tennessee. Clara was raised in Tennessee before moving to Vermilion. She had made her home in Elyria for the last three years.

Her primary focus in life was that of being a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Amherst. Clara was involved in the children's Bible study. She loved spending time doing crafts. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of ten years Joseph Sexton; her sons Charles Wyatt of Bristol, Tennessee, Donald Wyatt and his wife Jackie of Vermilion; daughter Brenda Falbo; stepson Daniel Sexton and his companion Ruby of Amherst; stepdaughters Carlyn Bradley and her husband Tommie of Elyria, Marilyn Player and her husband Robert of Sumter, South Carolina; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her sisters Louise Elizabeth Wilson Talman, Shirley Virginia Wilson Taylor both of Bristol, Tennessee and Wilma Jean Wilson Ollis of Florida.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister ; and her parents Lee and Charmie Wilson (nee: Wilson).

Friends may call Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Fravel, chaplain of Crossroads Hospice will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.

Anna "Marge" Margaret Buswell
(September 11, 1921 - April 15, 2012)
Anna "Marge" Margaret Buswell (nee: Guilmette), 90 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.

She was born on September 11, 1921 in Neuweid, Germany. Anna was a lifetime resident of Elyria. She was a graduate of Elyria High School.

During World War II Anna was employed at Western Automatic in Elyria where she met her husband to be Milton Buswell. During those years she enjoyed participating with the company softball and bowling leagues. Her primary focus in life was that of being a homemaker. Anna was a member of the Lake Avenue United Church of Christ in Elyria. Her family and especially her grandchildren where the center of her life. She cherished the many family trips to Mill Hollow and the Lorain County Fair that she took with them. Anna was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved her pet dogs.

Survivors include her daughter Diane (Steve) Carlson of Solon, her grandchildren Kristina and James Carlson; brother George Guilmette of Elyria; and her sister Mary Jane Janosik of Birmingham as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years Milton Joseph Buswell on May 28, 2007; her brother Robert Guilmette in 1939; half sister Catherine Zimmer in 1966; and by her parents Adolph and Margaret Guilmette (nee: Oster).

Friends may call Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Gross, pastor of Lake Avenue United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to an animal protective league or any humane society of your choice.
