Harold L. Nuhn
Harold L. Nuhn, 94 of Fostoria formerly of Lorain died Sunday, November 20, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria after a long illness.
Mr. Nuhn was born on November 14, 1911, in Vermilion and lived here most of his life. He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Lorain. He was very active in the church and served on the Church Council. He owned and operated the Nuhn Painting & Decorating until his retirement in 1973.
Following his retirement he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he and his wife shared their time between their home in Tucson and their home in Hillside, Colorado. In Tucson he was a member of the Painted Hills United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Katherine M. (nee Pratsch) Nuhn, daughter Marian K. Binder of Helena, Ohio, son Rev. Robert W. Nuhn of Providence, Utah, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister Mildred Binder of Lorain.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at 11:00 AM in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township. The Reverend Philip Kunz, pastor of the St. John United Church Of Christ, will officiate.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 725 Columbus Ave. Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
Arrangements are being handled by the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Norma F. Kaliszewski Field
Norma F. Kaliszewski Field, 90 of Sheffield Lake died on Monday, August 22, 2005, at Center Ridge Nursing Home in North Ridgeville, OH following a long illness.
Mrs. Field was born on August 9, 1915, in Milan, OH but lived the majority of her life in the Lorain and Sheffield Lake area. She was a retired sales clerk from the former Smith & Gerhart Department Store in Lorain.
She enjoyed working in the yard, flowers and being with her family.
Mrs. Field is survived by her daughters Georgene Kochan of Taylors, South Carolina, Marjorie Ilcisko of Lorain, Norma Dombroski of Strongsville, sons Leo Kaliszewski of Avon Lake, Thomas Kaliszewski of Elyria, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, stepdaughters Rosella Turner Elyria, OH, Bonnie Solak of Lorain, Phyllis Minert of Fontana, CA, Marion Thorn of Richfield, OH, Sandra Horinek of Vermilion and stepson Delmas Field of Norristown, PA.
She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Leo Kaliszewski in 1957, 2nd husband Ross Field in 1996, her parents Edwin and Lydia (nee Myers) Goldsmith, stepdaughter Connie Bansek and brother Clyde Goldsmith.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio on Wednesday, Auguat 24, 2005 from 1:00 PM until funeral time at 2:00 PM. Rev. Robert D. Smith will officiate.
Norma F. Kaliszewski Field will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Memorial Gifts, 424 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

Charles R. Pamer
Charles R. "Chuck" Pamer, 40 of Elyria died at his home May 21, 2005, unexpectedly.
Mr. Pamer was born on Feb. 6, 1965 in Berea and has lived in this area since the mid-1990's. He was a 1983 graduate of Lakewood High School. He attended New Life Baptist Church in Elyria.
He had been employed at the Chrysler Plant in Twinsburg.
He is survived by his son Sean Pamer of Peoria, IL, mother Mary Ann Pamer of Lakewood, sister Christine Floyd of Burkee, OH and his paternal grandfather Raymond Pamer of Twinsburg.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at 3:00 PM in the New Life Baptist Church, 720 E. River Road, Elyria, Ohio with Pastor Duncan Meadows officiating.
There will be no funeral home visitation.
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 is handling arrangements.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made for Sean's education.

Stanley T. Fitzgerald
Stanley T. Fitzgerald, 97 of North Ridgeville died on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville, OH following a short illness.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on March 18, 1908 in Cleveland, OH and lived in the Lorain area since 1936. He attended the Church of The Open Door in Elyria.
After WW II he worked for Gulf Oil Company as a salesman. He then owned and operated Stan's Delicatessen on 21st Street from 1950 -1954. He finished his working career working for Independent Oil in North Ridgeville delivering fuel oil. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 552, now known as Black River Lodge 786 F & AM. He received his 60 year membership pin several years ago.
Mr. Fitzgerald enjoyed golf, reading, watching sports, especially the Indians and being with his late wife.
He is survived by sons; Patrick R. Fitzgerald of Temple Terrace, FL and W. Dale Fitzgerald of Elyria, sister Betty Guenther of The Villages, FL.
Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth H. (nee Wallace) Fitzgerald on July 15, 2001, daughters Susan Gail Fitzgerald, Judith Ann Fitzgerald, his parents Patrick Edward and Elizabeth (nee Sanford) Fitzgerald, brother Charles Fitzgerald and sisters, Margaret Kerwin and Marie Moosbrugger.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Friday, May 6 from noon until 1:00 pm. Masonic Memorial services will be at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. A graveside service will follow visitation at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
The Rev. Walter Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.

Becky Pawlak
Becky (nee McIntyre) Pawlak, 50 of Vermilion died Friday October 14, 2005 at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain, unexpectedly.
Ms. Pawlak was born on December 26, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA and has lived in the Lorain and Western Cuyahoga County area since 1968. She was a 1973 graduate of Bay Village High School. She had been employed as an assistant manager at the Pizza Hut in Elyria.
She is survived by her parents Howard and Shirley (nee Keiser) McIntyre of Hendersonville, NC, finance of Jack Long of Vermilion, sister Saundra Kolodziej of Tomball, TX, brother Bruce McIntyre of Rocky River, OH, and Robert McIntyre of Sheffield Lake, OH one nephew and two nieces.
There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements handled by Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, Lorain, OH.

Dorothy M. Fritsch
Dorothy M. (nee Six) Fritsch, 85 of Lorain, died on Sunday, August 21, 2005, at Life Care Center of Elyria in Elyria, OH after an extended illness.
Mrs. Fritsch was born on July 5, 1920, in Lorain, OH living here all of her life. She had owned and operated the Loop News Stand in downtown Lorain for more than 20 years, closing in the late 1960s.
She enjoyed her dogs.
Mrs. Fritsch is survived by her daughter, June L. Kuhn of Lorain, OH, sons, Edward F. Fritsch of Lorain, OH, Kenneth R. Fritsch of Elyria, OH, Robert A. Fritsch of Vermilion, OH, 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, brother James Six of North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edward F. Fritsch, 1992, her parents Ellsworth and Louise (nee Dolde) Six, and brother Kenneth Six.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 West 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Wednesday, August 24, 2005, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Milorad Orlich, pastor of St. George Orthodox Church, officiating.

Robert W. Phillips
Robert W. Phillips, 59 of Lorain died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at his home unexpectedly.
Mr. Phillips was born on September 9, 1949 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Admiral King High School. He then earned an associate degree in General Studies from Lorain County Community College. He was a self employed CAD operator assigned most recently to Marconi.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed working with computers.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his brother Roger W. Phillips of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry W. and Alberta A. (nee Pennington) Phillips.
Services are private.

Treva M. Gascoigne
Treva M. (nee Zimmerman) Gascoigne, 84 of Lorain passed away Saturday, November 12, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a long illness.
Mrs. Gascoigne was born in Lorain, OH on March 26, 1921. She was a graduate of Lorain High School. She was retired from the Lorain Products in 1973 where she was a board line assembler. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, chocolate, animals and giving of herself.
Mrs. Gascoigne is survived by her daughter; Kathy M. Gascoigne of Lorain and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband John S. in 1974, son Jay R. in 1977, daughter Rebecca A. Stilgenbauer, parents George and Katherine (nee Shawver) Zimmerman, brother Dwayne Zimmerman and sister Margaret Ryan.
Friends may call Wednesday, NOvember 16, 2005 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio will immediately following the visitation. Rev. Edward J. Luca will officiate.

Robert W. Prill
Robert W. Prill, 84 of Lorain died on Monday, April 25, 2005 at Ohio Extended Care Center in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
He was born on March 1, 1921 in Cleveland, OH and lived in Lorain all his life. He was a graduate of Lorain High School.
He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force and served during WWII. He was an airplane armorer-seeing action at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and in Central Europe. For his service he earned EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 bronze stars and the Good Conduct Medal.
Prior to his military tour of duty, he worked at the former American Crucible in Lorain. Following his discharge, he began his career as a gear cutter with the former Thew Shovel. He retired in 1980 after 32 years service.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8686 in Sheffield Lake.
Mr. Prill is survived by his wife of 52 years Rose Marie (nee Glading) Prill, daughters, Laura S Berg of Lorain, Sheila K. Massimiani of Elyria, Linda M. Oliver of Meridian, ID, Gayle L. VanNiel oif South Amherst, son, Wayne R Prill of Edmond, OK, 5 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his sisters Virginia Grunda of Sheffield Lake, and Dolores Kos of Elyria.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Cecelia (nee Michalski) Prill, sister Lenora Paulovcic, and infant brother Darryl Prill.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio on Friday, April 29, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 10:00 am in the Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Mr. James Hiser officiating.
Robert W. Prill will be buried at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Full military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 451of Lorain.
The family suggest that Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lorain Area Office, 43099 N Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035.
