Joan A. (nee Binder) Gleisner
Joan A. (nee Binder) Gleisner, 69 of Lorain died at her home in Holiday Lakes near Willard on Saturday, April 9, 1005.
Mrs. Gleisner was born on Feb 25, 1936 in Lorain and was a life long resident of Lorain. She graduated from Lorain High School and was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain.
Mrs. Gleisner is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald A., daughters Jayne and Lisa both of Willard, one granddaughter, her parents, Gustav A. and Mildred (nee Nuhn) Binder of Lorain, sisters Jean McKitrick and Wilma Paghi both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by a son Steve Gleisner.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 5-8 pm.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Zion Luther Church, 5100 Ashland Ave., Lorain with Rev. Kent V. Wilson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard officiating.
Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to either Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44052, or Trinity Lutheran Church, 308 Myrtle Ave., Willard Ohio 44890.

Doyle E. Ritter
Doyle E. Ritter, 75 of Sheffield Lake, Ohio died late Wednesday evening, October 26, 2005, in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Ritter was born in Clark County, Iowa on October 20, 1930, moving to this area in 1952. He was a veteran of the US Air Force attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired in 1995 as a general foreman in the maintenance department at B. F. Goodrich.
Mr. Ritter was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and an accomplished wood craftsman. He enjoyed carpentry and refurbishing interior wooden decor. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Avon Lake.
He is survived by his wife Janet C. (nee Mullner) Ritter, to whom he was married on December 16, 1951, daughters: Peggy A. Adams, Kathy M. Groene both of Lorain, OH, Linda J. Pena of Sheffield Village, OH, Connie S. Davis of Richfield, OH, Valerie K. Ousoiny of Indianapolis, IN, Monica L. Rameriz of Lakewood, OH, Sons: Michael Ritter of North Olmstead, OH., David Ritter of Sheffield Lake, OH., Jeffrey Ritter of Lorain, OH, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. sisters: Ada Rodda of Osceola, Iowa., Thelma Davis of Osceola, Iowa., and Norma Ritter of Lincoln, NE.
Mr. Ritter was preceded in death by a grandson Joey Pena, parents Aaron E. and M. Mae (nee Wilson) Ritter, brothers: William, Walter and Merle Ritter.
Memorial Service in Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2005.
Burial will be at a later date.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Church, 715 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, Ohio 44054.

Richard E. Grassnig
Richard E. Grassnig, 88 of Lorain died on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Inn At Chappel Creek in Vermilion, OH following a long illness.
Richard was born on May 15, 1916 in Lorain, OH and was a life long resident. He was a 1935 graduate of Lorain High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII.
Mr. Grassnig was a retired custodian from the Lorain Board of Education. He was a member of the Espicopal Church of the Redeemer, American Legion Post # 30, and Masonic Lodge # 786 F & AM.
He enjoyed hunting and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen Marjorie (nee Fair) Grassnig, son Richard W. Grassnig of Amherst, daughter Sally Radabaugh of Amherst, 3 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Mr. Grassnig was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Minnie ( nee Koleno) Grassnig and a brother Louis Grassnig.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 10:00 am in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 with Rev. Stephen Sedgwick, rector of the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer, 647 Reid Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44052, officiating.Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 is handling the arrangements.

Naomi Louise Rutledge
Naomi Louise Rutledge, 81 (nee Jenkins) of Sheffield Township died Saturday, November 12, 2005, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a long illness.
Mrs. Rutledge was born on May 9, 1924, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a graduate of Central High School and pursued her education al Ohio State University, Lorain County Community College and Cleveland College of Case Western Reserve. She finalized her formal nursing training by graduating from the Harlem School of Nursing in 1951.
She worked as a registered nurse at Harlem Hospital in New York City, Marine Hospital, Veteran's Hospital and University Hospital in Cleveland before coming to St. Joseph's Hospital in Lorain. She worked for 26 years at St. Joseph's first in the emergency room and then teaching in the St. Joseph's School of Practical Nursing for the last 14 years of her career.
Mrs. Rutledge was a charter member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church, a church elder and sang in the choir. She was active with RSVP, Lorain County Lutheran-Presbyterian Co-op, and the Lorain Free Clinic. She was a member of the Lorain 400 Club and had served as it's president. She also was a leader of the Heritage Book Group.
She enjoyed music, singing, golf, reading, crafts and volunteering.
Mrs. Rutledge is survived by sons: Albert Rutledge of CA., and Darryl Rutledge of Moreno Valley, CA., 4 grandchildren, twin sister: Ruth Laney of Cleveland, Ohio and brothers: William Jenkins of Cleveland, Ohio, Raymond Jenkins of Cleveland, Ohio, and 3 nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents James W and Margaret Jenkins, brother Joseph Jenkins and sister Hallie Harris.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 21, 2005, at 11:00 AM in the Heritage Presbyterian Church, 515 North Leavitt Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Rev. James E. Smucker, pastor will officiate
Burial was in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Hospice c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.

Robert L. Glime
Robert L. Glime, 63 of Lorain died on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Grace Hospital in Amherst, OH following a long illness.
He was born on January 31, 1942 in Amherst, OH and lived in Lorain all his life. He was a 1960 graduate of Lorain High School. He was a US Army veteran serving during Viet Nam. He was an expert rifleman.
Mr. Glime enjoyed growing roses, woodworking, working on cars and working with his dog, Snowball.
He is survived by his daughters, Ronda Meo, and Bobbi Jean Schilens both of Lorain, son, Robert E. Glime of Lorain, 5 grandchildren, brother James F Glime and sister Audrey Witt both of Lorain, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Glime is preceded in death by his parents Donald F. & Kathleen (nee Shoup) Glime.
Friends may call at Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain OH, on Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 2-4 to 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be held on May 6, 2005 at 9:30 am in Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, officiating.
Robert L. Glime will be buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion, OH with full military honors provided jointly by American Legion Post 30 and VFW Post 451 in Lorain.

Josefina F. Salas
Josefina F. Salas, 80, (nee Fernandez) died on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a brief illness.
She was born on June 30, 1924 in Congregacion Calles, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She moved to Lorain in 1956. She was a homemaker. She had been an accomplished seamtress and briadl gown maker in Mexico. She was a member of the Toledo Road Church Of Christ.
Mrs. Salas enjoyed gardening, singing and dancing.
Mrs. Salas is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Rivalsky of Brecksville, Ohio, sons, Joel Salas of Avon, Ohio, Dr. Samuel Salas of Amherst, Ohio, and Dr. Abner Salas of Atlanta, Georgia, 8 grandchildren, brothers Francisco Fernandez of Monterrey, Mexico, Napoleon Fernandez of Congregacion Calles, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, sisters Maria G. Fernandez of Lorain, Ludivina F. Sanchez of Monterrey, Mexico, and Alejandrina F. Shember of Monterrey,Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel A. Salas on July 5, 1991, parents Eutimio F. and Maria Inez (nee Cavazos Lopez) Fernandez, brothers Rogelio Fernandez, Pablo Fernandez, Lucas Fernandez, Florencio Fernandez, Eutimio H. Fernandez, and Ruben Fernandez.
Friends may call at Toledo Road Church of Christ, 5075 Toledo Road, Lorain, OH, on Saturday, June 25, 2005 from 10:00 am until time of funeral at 1:00 pm. Mr. James Hiser will officiate.
Mrs. Salas will be buried at Resthaven Memory Garden in Avon, OH.

Dale D. Hall
Dale D. Hall, 62 of Lorain died on Monday, May 30, 2005 at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Hall was born on February 5, 1943 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident. He was a 1961A graduate of Lorain High School. Mr. Hall owned and operated his own business for 35 years; D.D. Hall Electrical Contractor.
He was an avid auto racing fan especially NASCAR racing. He also owned and drove his own race car. From 1981 to 1983 he was Track Champion at both Lorain Motor Speedway and Sandusky Motor Speedway. He was named "Rookie of the Year" and "Sportsman of the Year" in 1981. He enjoyed white water rafting and all other sports.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife Regaina "Sue" Hall to whom he was married on June 17, 1961, daughters, Christie D Bertulies, and Vicki M Schmaling both of Amherst, son, Brian C Hall of North Ridgeville, 4 grandchildren, and sister Susan K Kawamoto of Grosse Pointe, MI.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral services will be private with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44119.

Thomas E. Silsby
Thomas E. Silsby, 59 of Lorain died Saturday morning, December 17, 2005, at his home unexpectedly.
Mr. Silsby was born in Barnesville, Ohio on November 9, 1946. He and his family moved to Lorain when he was six. He was a retired assembler, retiring in 2001 from the Ford Motor Co-Lorain Plant. He had more than 30 years service.
He enjoyed camping, yard work, growing roses and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Silsby is survived by his wife Patricia L. (nee Maynard) Silsby, to whom he was married on March 3, 1973. Also surviving are daughters: Christina M. Keaton of Lorain, Elizabeth A. Silsby at home, sons: Thomas J Silsby of Dennison, Timothy P Silsby of Vermilion, Jacob R. Silsby at home, 4 grandchildren and a brother: David R Silsby of Vermilion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard A and Elda L. (nee Bailey) Silsby and a brother Lonnie Silsby.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, from 6 until funeral time at 8 PM at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Mr. James Hiser will officiate.
