Margaret E. Stevenson
Margaret E. Stevenson, 83, (nee Kocak) of Lorain died Sunday evening, March 30, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion Nursing Home following a long illness.
Mrs. Stevenson was born in Lorain, OH on October 24, 1924, the daughter of the late John P. and Ellen (Wilson) Kocak. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain and a graduate of Lorain High School, class of 1942 B.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church Lorain.
Mrs. Stevenson began her career in banking after graduation from High School and spent more than 35 years in the industry. She started as a teller for the former Cleveland Trust Bank in Lorain, continued when the named changed to Central Bank and ended her career as a bank branch manager with the former Central Trust Bank. She received training at American Institute of Banking.
She loved her volunteer work with the Bingo games at Lorain Catholic High School and enjoyed trips to Vegas, Canada and Michigan casinos. She was an avid collector including stamps, coins, and Hummel Figurines.
Mrs. Stevenson is survived by a sister Dorothy K Roth of Amherst, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Stevenson in 1996.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, OH, with Father Joseph West as celebrant.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Lorain, OH.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Building Fund 1305 Erie Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Randall W. Colley
Randall W. (Randy) Colley, 53 of Lorain died Monday, February 25, 2008 at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Colley was born in Elyria on June 20, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
He was a graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School in 1974. He served in the US Army as a E-4 during the Vietname War era. He was stationed in Germany. He was a member of American Legion Post 30. An avid gun enthusiast, he was a member of National Rifle Association. He was also a World War II History buff and enjoyed learning about airplanes.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Sheffield.
He worked as a material handler at Genei Plastic Recycling Elyria for 3 years and prior to that worked at the American Crucible for 14 years. He also had been employed at Ceva Logistics.
He is survived by his daughter Madison A. Colley of Lorain, his mother Bertha I. (Bea) (nee Sprinkle) Colley Williams, brothers George D. (Dennis) Colley, Timothy W. (Tim) Colley both of Lorain, his fiancee Linda J. Nagy of Lorain, niece Melissa R. Colley, and nephew Dennis L. Colley.
Mr. Colley was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie L. (nee Demich) Colley in 1998, his father George J. Colley, a sister Lisa Williams, and his stepfather Ray H. Williams.
Friends may call Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 with Deacon David Lumadue of the new Haven Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be Monday, March 3, 2008 Huntington Cemetery in Huntington Township.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Colley Benefit Trust at any Lorain National Bank branch.

David E. Luman
David E. Luman, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Winchester Place, Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Born to the late Chester and Marjorie (Saunders) Luman in Marysville, OH, David is also preceded in death by a daughter, Monica.
Survivors include his wife, Janet (Jackson) Luman; daughters, Johnnie Belinda (Christopher) Elder, Mary Beth-Ann (Brad) Ellis, Kimberly Luman; son, David Luman, Jr; brothers, Chester (Evie) Luman, Greg (Karen) Luman both of Lorain, Nicholas (Sharon) Luman of Bradenton, Fl, Timothy Luman of South Amherst and Phillip (Carol) Luman of Sanford, NC, sisters Carol (Ron) Poyle of Lorain, Barbara (Jeff) Kimberly of Norwalk, Lynette Witter of Elyria, Debra (Greg) Schon of Biloxi, Miss, Tammy (David) McNair of Dayton, TX, 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Lithopolis Cemetery, 4365 Cedar Hill Road, Canal Winchester, OH.

Dorothy K. Maholic
Dorothy K. Maholic, 83 (nee Meyers) of Lorain died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Anchor Lodge Retirement Village.
Mrs. Maholic was born in Lorain, OH on February 16, 1924 in Lorain and was a lifetime resident. She retired in 1982 from the Lorain City Schools, after 15 years of service.
She enjoyed being with her family. Other interests included playing bingo,watching game shows, and the lottery.
Mrs. Maholic is survived by daughters Patti Richter of Queen Creek, Arizona, Elaine Hassler of Lorain, son Terry Maholic of Lorain, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren and a brother Elmer Meyers of Lorain and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Maholic in 1980, son Michael Maholic in 1974, her parents William and Amelia E. (nee Bertsch) Meyers, brothers Clinton, Charles " Chuck", Sam, Ray, Wilbur, Walter Meyers, sisters Ruth Plott, Esther Kopchik and a half sister Dora Skufeeda.
Friends may call on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

Annabel R. Helle Tellman
Annabel R. Helle Tellman, 87 of Lorain passed away peacefully, with her husband at her side on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at University Hospital in Cleveland following a brief illness.
Mrs. Tellman was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Henry B and Thusnelda M (nee Klaholz) Helle. She moved to Lorain with her family, as a small child.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1938. She was a homemaker. Many years ago, She worked at Ohio Edison as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Tellman was a member of the former Emmanuel United Methodist Church now known as Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a member of both the church choir and the Willomars.
One of the founding members of the volunteer program at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, she served tirelessly for more than 38 years. She was also a member of the Lakeland Women's Club. She was a dedicated supporter of the music program at Lorain High School from 1962-1969, including the Band Parents and the Music Parents.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Herbert Tellman, to whom she was married on June 19, 1943, her daughters Janet S (George) Campbell of Livonia, MI, Kathy J (Bruce) Ullock of Sedona, AZ, grandsons Mark and Scott Campbell and step grandsons Spencer R and David A. Ullock.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tellman was preceded in death by a sister Jane Fox and a brother Robert Helle.
Friends may call Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 3-7 PM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral Services in the Funeral Home will be Monday, April 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Darlene Robinson, co-pastor at Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township, OH.

Beatrice A. Damron
Beatrice A. Damron, 61 (nee Smith) of Lorain died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mrs. Damron was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Lenard Eugene and Donna Mae (nee Duffield) Smith. She lived the majority of her life in Lorain.
She was a homemaker and collected stuffed animals.
Mrs. Damron is survived by a daughter Bernice D DeKam of Elyria, a son Robert C Damron of Roanoke, VA, grandsons Michael R. Bond, John N. DeKam both of Elyria, granddaughter Robin F. Damron of Elyria, and a sister Karen Bolen of Oak Hills, West Virginia.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral Services in the funeral home will follow visitation at 1:00 PM on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Judith L. Tickle
Judith L. Tickle, 67 (nee Thomas) of Lorain passed away early Tuesday morning, January 21, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion following a long illness.
Mrs. Tickle was born in Lorain, OH on March 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Leonard H. and Helen L. (nee Mascenik) Thomas. A lifelong resident of Lorain, she graduated from Lorain High School. She loved to sing and had been a member of the Glee Club and Choir in high school.
She was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain. He enjoyed leading Rosary at the nursing home. She liked to play Bingo and doing crafts. She was an enthusiastic Texas Hold'em player. Mrs. Tickle was named Resident of the Month in March 2007.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Joseph & Feiss Co. and the May Company.
Mrs. Tickle is survived by her daughters Viki Campbell of Vermilion, Barbara Harris of Wakeman, Krista Bracero of Lorain, grandchildren Donald Campbell, Melany Kertell, Catherine Kertell, Elizabeth Dunkle, Samantha Dunkle, Teresa Bracero, John Harris, and Steven Harris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Campbell in 2007, sister Joyce Thomas and step mother Margaret Thomas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio with Father Daniel O. Divis, pastor of St. Mary Church, officiating.

Maxwell H. Meltzer
Maxwell H. Meltzer, 99 of Lorain died late Friday evening November 14th, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon.
Mr. Meltzer was born in Akron, OH on June 15, 1909, the son of the late Abraham and Tillie (nee Danzig) Meltzer. He spent most of his childhood in Cleveland and graduated from West High School in Akron. He has lived in Lorain for the past 54 years. He was an avid golfer and multi-year champion of the Lorain Jewish Open Golf Tournament.
He was a member of the Agudath B'Nai Israel Synagogue where he has served as head usher for 40 years and was also a member of the B'Nai Brith.
Mr. Meltzer was a retired sales manager at the former Work Wear, Inc., (NKA Aratex). He retired in the mid 1990's but continued for another 10 years as a consultant.
He is survived by a son Jerry Meltzer of Lakewood, two granddaughters Julie Meltzer, and Katie Meltzer Anders (Meltzer), great granddaughter Isabelle.
Mr. Meltzer was preceded in death by his wife Belle (Nee Javitz) Meltzer in December 1987, a son Arnold Meltzer in September 2004 and three brothers Paul Meltzer, Louis Meltzer and Julius Meltzer.
Graveside services in Salem Cemetery, Sheffield Township, will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday, November 16, 2008 Cantor David Wolinsky officiating.
The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
