WILLIAMS James Edward Williams, age 55, departed May 3, 2002 at Riverside Hospital. "Big James" (as family called him) was born in Mohawk, W.Va. on April 29, 1947 to Robert and Georgia Williams. They came to Columbus, Oh. in 1964 and he graduated from West HS in 1967. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1967 to 1970. He was married to Anita Sowards, and they have two daughters, Pam and Tianna; three stepchildren, Ardella, Mark, Tracy and one granddaughter, Breeonna. James was preceded in death by his father, a stepson, aunt uncle and cousins. He is survived by mother, Georgia Williams; brothers, George (Ann) Williams, Mark (Sharon) Williams, James Andrew Williams; sisters, Marsha (Freddie) Carey, Rebecca (Jeff) Turner, Dorothy Russell; aunts, Ida Martin, Elnora (Paul) Bonderant and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Pool of Bethesda, 2600 McCutcheon Rd. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. until time of service. WILSON Sean Christ Wilson, 28, of Columbus, passed away suddenly, Friday, May 3, 2002. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a general building contractor, a devoted husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring classic cars and piloting with his brother and father. He is survived by wife, Scarlett; son, Cody; parents, Robert Wilson and Vikkie Wilson; brother, Robert (Adena) Wilson; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Scott; grandmother-in-law, Christine Uribes; aunt and uncle, George S. and Sharon Wilson; aunt, Roxann (Donald) Lemaster; uncle, David Mowbray; cousins, Tracey Mowbray, Eric and Josh Whitt; nephews, Shane and Tyler; mother-in-law, Erminda Rhonehouse; father-in-law, Ronald Rice; sisters-in-law, Jessica and Audrey; brother-in-law, Jimmy; and numerous close friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Veronica Margaret and William Robert Wilson, maternal grandfather Phillip Brown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Father John Johnson Celebrant. Friends will be received Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Funeral Services pending. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Wilson Fund.

ABELL Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Abell, age 72, of Galena, Oh., passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at home. Mary Lou was born August 14, 1929 in Sandusky, Oh. to Allen and Marguerite Wilhelm. She was a graduate from Bellevue High School in 1947 and received her B.S. in Nursing from St. John's College in Cleveland, Oh. in 1951. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert "Bob"; children, Kathleen (Michael) Ishler of Santa Monica, Calif., Daniel (Gwyneth) Abell of Westerville, Robert Abell of Grand Junction, Colo. and Roger Abell of Glouster, Oh.; also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew Ishler; brothers, John (Geraldine) Wilhelm of Brookfield, Wis. and Andrew (Agnes) Wilhelm of Centreville, Md.; sister, Margaret Werner of Bellevue, Oh. Preceded in death by sister Joan Christian. Mary Lou was a volunteer with many charitable organizations in the local schools, community and church over the years. She was an active member of U.S. Power Squadron Seal Gals Auxiliary, Sunbury Road Needle Club, Heart of Ohio Postcard Club, Ohio Historical Society and Great Lakes Cruising Club. Mary Lou was on the Board of Directors for the Big Walnut Historical Society to preserve several town buildings. She was well-known authority and collector of pre 1920 postcards. Among her many interests were tennis, sailing the Great Lakes, egg decorating and antique collecting. A memorial mass will be read on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 313 North State St., Westerville, Oh., where family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "The Mary Lou Abell Memorial Fund", 44 Burrer Drive, Sunbury, Oh. 43074. A plaque will be placed in the Myers Inn Historical Building in her honor. Arrangements by the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, Oh.

BAY Frances C. (Fran) Bay, died unexpectedly at home May 6, 2002. Arrangements will be announced later by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, OH.

BEIDLEMAN Edwin L. Beidleman, Sr., age 74, May 5, 2002. Funeral service Friday 2 p.m. in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St. Mr. Beidleman will lie in state Friday after 10 a.m. at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends 1 p.m. until start of service. Interment Eastlawn cemetery.

BELKNAP Dale A. Belknap, age 79, of Westerville, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord May 6, 2002. Retired in 1987 as past owner of Capital City Exterminating Company. Served on Board of Directors of National Pest Control Assn., president of Ohio Pest Control Assn. in 1958, and was originator and first president of Pest Control Assn. of Columbus. Served as Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 192 and on Central College School Board. Member of Central College Presbyterian Church. Veteran of U.S. Army, World War II as First Sergeant with the 42nd Rainbow Division and Bronze Star recipient. Survived by wife of 59 years, Helen Jean (Holter) Belknap; daughter, Linda (Larry) Crispin of Akron, OH; sons, Steven (Anna) Belknap of Worthington and Ron (Cindy) Belknap of Westerville; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 7-9 p.m., where service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Dr. Richard Ellsworth, officiating. BOCKART Katharine M. "Kay" Bockart, age 88, of Westerville, formerly of Circleville passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at The Village of Westerville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Circleville, 50 year member of The Order of Eastern Star and retired after 43 years of service for the Ohio Department of Transportation. She is survived by cousin, George (Jane) Hamman; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Diana Orlemann. She is preceded in death by parents Walter and Josephine Bockart, brothers, Loren L. Bockart and Walter H. Bockart, Jr., close friend Joseph B. Armstrong. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, Oh., where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. William Campbell officiating. Interment Prairie View cemetery, Kingston, Oh. BOLL Charles Howard Valentino Boll, died at home Sunday, May 5, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was well loved and will be sadly missed. He was born February 14, 1955 in Ironton, Oh. to Charles Lee and Hattie Boll and graduated from Ironton high School. Preceded in death by mother Hattie Lee Boll and sister Charlotta Jovita Holland. Survived by father, Charles Lee Boll; children, Deandra Annette Saxton of Columbus, Vanessa Jeannine Beach of Newport News, VA., Howard Morris Valentino Boll of Newport News and Natasha Leeann Boll of Union City, GA.; grandchildren, Devante Boll, Alonzo Saxton, Mateo Saxton, Faith Saxton, Da`Mon Beach and Antoine Boll; sister, Mitsy (Vallory) Rahaman of Columbus; aunt, Ruth Garner of Muskegon, MI; great-uncle, Vernon Robinson Sr. of Columbus. He was a veteran of U.S. Army, retired from First Community Village, director of housekeeping, member of Common Ground AA at Pyramid Club, member of Union Grove Baptist Church and secretary of Laymens Mens Group at Union Grove. BOWERS Ruth N. Bowers, age 91, of Carroll, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2002 at Fairfield Co. Medical Center. During WW II Ruth served her community as an Air Raid Warden in the Linden area. She was active for many years as a leader in her children's cub scout and girl scout programs as well as their P.T.A. She also served as a Sunday School teacher at the Linden Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents Kester and Stella (Young) Stevens, sons Leroy, Jim "Butch", Tom "T.J.", and William "Bill", sons-in-law Roy Coey, Jr. and Earl Purcell, brother Fred Stevens and sister Helen Gill. Survived by her children, Gladys Coey of Lancaster, Stella (Bill) Schulz of Grove City, Jean Purcell of Orient, Mary (Michael) LaFollette of Carroll and Robert (Carol) Bowers of Grove City; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Salzgeber of Worthington and Dorothy Timma of Mo.; special friend, Clyde Mahan. BRIGGS William T. "Teddy" Briggs, age 64, Monday, Kobacker House. Recently retired after 35 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. Survived by wife, Mary Briggs; daughters, Leslie (Keith) Taylor-Smith, Yvette (Melvin) Campbell, Jessica Briggs, Aleithra (Ray) Ball; sons, Teddy (Terri) Briggs Jr. and Jay T. (Yolanda) Briggs; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Dayton (Marion) Briggs of Gallipolis, Charles Briggs Jr., James (Sue) Briggs, Paul (Vernell Braxton) Briggs; aunts, Ella Mae Higgins, Dolores Briggs of Huntington, WV, Betty Scott; numerous nieces and nephews. BROWN Earl D. Brown, age 86, of Columbus, May 5, 2002 at Kobacker House. Retired book binder for Universal Print Shop. Member of GAU-B147. Lifetime member of Oakland Park Conservation League. U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Born September 4, 1915 to the late William and Loia Brown. Preceded in death by brothers George, William, Frank, Ralph, Howard and Harold, sisters Cora and Nellie. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Lydia Jane; son, Charles L. (Janet) Brown; grandson, Nickolas C. (Nancy Criner) Brown; brothers, Eugene (Ardella) and Donald (Terri); sisters, Juanita Flowers and Charlotte (Bob) Dunn; many nieces, nephews and devoted friends; caregivers, Jim and Nancy West, Pat Holstein, Mark Walters and all of God's loving angels at Kobacker House. CALLOWAY Rev. Ernest E. Calloway, age 69, Monday, May 6, 2002 at the Pickerington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was Pastor Emeritus of the Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, OH., where he served for 12 years. A United States Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Annie Calloway, step-father Anguish Boone, brothers Albert, Samuel and George Calloway. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Charles) Davidson, Beleta (Duane) Ebron, Ernest (Inga) Calloway II., Chiquita (Brian) Walton, Bonita (Darnell) Smith, Benita Calloway, Lolita Flinn and Zaccheus Calloway; grandchildren, Leilani, Tana, Nikiera, Nikeshia, Sophia, Grace, Joshua, Camille, Lauren, Danielle, Dorian and Kristen; sister, Elizabeth Brooks; brother, Rev. CHRISMER Clyde L. Chrismer, age 80, passed away Monday, May 6, 2002. Longtime member of Gates Fourth United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by wife Doris Ann, sister Lula Smith and brother George H. Chrismer. Survived by brother, Lynn (Jo Ann) Chrismer of Circleville; sisters, Charlene (Wilbur) Riley of Mesquite, Nev. and Clarire (Ronald) Fisher of Circleville; sister-in-law, Virginia Chrismer of Lewis Center, Oh.; brother-in-law, Paul (Carol) Oliver of Rushville, Oh.; several nieces and nephews. DUPRE Robert G. Dupre, age 74, of Columbus, died Monday May 6, 2002 at the Dayton VA Hospital. A retired dispatcher with Linden Lumber. He is a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, with whom he was married for 48 years; children, Craig, Mark and Karen; granddaughter, Angel. EDDY Phyllis Jean Eddy, age 65, of Columbus, after a short illness went to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, May 5, 2002. Brother, Richard (Carol) Campbell, children, Cheryl Eddy, Lorie (Robb) Castle, David (Laura) Eddy, Regina (Todd) Stewart, Shawn Eddy, along with 7 grandchildren and many friends will miss her greatly. EVANS Adrian Evans, age 70, Monday, May 6, 2002, of Columbus, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Veteran U.S. Navy, where he served as a commander in the Korean War. FAHNER William M. Fahner, age 59, of Canal Winchester, formerly of the Licking County area, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at his residence. He was a conductor for the Norfolk Southern Railroad System, a former employee of Con Rail, and a retired Sergeant First Class, Ohio National Guard. A graduate of Gnadenhutten High School and a member of the "HOG" Club (Springfield, Ohio). Bill is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Dixie; and sons, Darrell (Denise) Fahner of Carroll, Drew Fahner of Johnstown and Ryan Fahner of Columbus; grandchildren, Adam, Ashley and Casey; mother-in-law, Maggie Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents George W. and Marguerite Fahner, and his father-in-law,Ernest Smith. Friends may visit Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R.
