HELLEMS Marcine L. Hellems, of Columbus, entered into eternal rest on May 8, 2002. Preceded in death by her parents Ira and Goldie Six, son Victor Sykes and 12 brothers and sisters. Survived by loving husband, Clell; devoted children, Emma Lou (Hubert) Noe, Clarence E. Sykes and Judy D. HIGHMAN A funeral service for Evelyn Highman, age 90, a resident of the New Albany Care Center, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 at the Kirkersville Chapel of HENDERSON, Van ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL SERVICE with Rev. Carol R. Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Pataskala cemetery. Mrs. Highman, a homemaker, died May 8, 2002 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born December 19, 1911 in Pennsville, Oh. to the late Clarke and Hulda (Scott) Janes. Mrs. Highman was a graduate of Kirkersville High School. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Highman, Macedonia, Richard and Holly Highman, Sunbury; 4 grandchildren, Robert Scott Highman and Eric Mitchell (Debbie) Highman, all of Parma, Heather R. Highman of Spruce Pine, N.C. and Judy E. Highman of Sunbury. She was preceded in death by her husband Denzil C. Highman on April 3, 1999 and by a brother Ernest Janes; and a sister Merle Regan. HOGUE Virginia M. Hogue, age 89, of Whipple, Oh., formerly of Pleasant Ridge, Graysville, Oh., died May 8, 2002 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Oh. She was born September 19, 1912 at New Martinsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late L.E. Smith and Ella Rist Smith. She was a member of the Hartshorn Ridge Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband Roy Hogue, daughter Ruth Ella Baker and brother Charles Smith. She is survived by son, Coy Hogue and his wife, Centia, Belingham, Wash.; brother, Al Smith and his wife, Barbara, Columbus, Oh.; sisters, Helen Crain and her husband, Frank, St. Louis, Mo., Jacqueline Arango, Washington, D.C.; 6 grandchildren, Debbie Hedger and her husband, Bud, Sarasota, Fla., Sharon Huffman and her husband, John, Jerusalem, Oh., Russell Headley, Woodsfield, Oh., Jeanie Carpenter and her husband, Steve, Whipple, Oh., Carmen Roberge and her husband, Carl, South Surry, British Columbia, Canada and Shirley Thompson, Marietta, Oh.; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; aunt, Ada Parks, Marietta, Oh.; several nieces and nephews. HOLLINGSWORTH Maxwell H. Hollingsworth, age 3, of Columbus, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Children's Hospital in Columbus. He was born June 19, 1998 in Columbus, son of Charles Hollingsworth and Gretchen Walburn. He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Lannette Walburn of Chillicothe, Joseph (Elly) Walburn of Athens, Valarie Mosley of Columbus, Charles Hollingsworth of New Orleans, La.; great-grandparents, Velma Endlich of Chillicothe, George and Cheneva Hayden of Columbus; uncle, J.T. Walburn of Columbus; great-aunt, Terry Fout of Chillicothe; aunts, uncles and cousins. HORNBECK Judith "Judy" Hornbeck, age 62, of Reynoldsburg, died Monday, May 6, 2002 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald B. Sr., son Donald B. Jr. and parents Edna and Dick Harvey. Survived by daughter-in-law, Chris Griffith-Prince; special uncle, Bob Ventola; aunt, Heidi Biggs; sister-in-law, Gloria Thompson; nieces, Vonda (Bob) Boyd, DeDe Cook, Veda (Bill) Geen; nephew, William (Sue) Thompson; cousins, Ron Ventola, Patty Williams, Mari Triplett, Chuck Ventola, Joe Biggs, Elliot Biggs; and many special friends. HUTTON Virginia J. Hutton, age 77, of Zanesville, Oh., died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born February 2, 1925 in Zanesville, Oh., the daughter of the late Herbert and Gladys Baughman James. Mrs. Hutton was a retired secretary for the Clintonville Savings & Loan and a Genesis Volunteer. Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Hutton, (married March 29, 1946), of the home; daughter, Faith (Lee Ann) Vieno of Washington, D.C.; sons, R. Douglas Hutton of Scottsdale, Ariz., Phil and Patti Hutton of Lake Bluff, Ill.; 5 grandchildren, Rob and Sabine Vieno, Cody Randel, Pierce Hutton, Julia Hutton and Henry Hutton; great-grandson, Jeremy Vieno. LACEY (FINDLEY) Jenny Findley Lacey, age 55, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Mt. Carmel Hospital East. A Graduate of Garland College in Boston, MA and Brown County Ursuline School in St. Martin, OH. A Teacher at Christ the King Catholic Church Preschool. Attended Bexley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents E. Gordon Findley and Frances Main Findley. Survived by husband of 7 years, Alan Lacey; sons, Thomas Findley and wife, Erica O'Reilly and Gordon Findley O'Reilly; sisters, Ann and husband, Fred Jones, Heidi Findley and Frank Moskowitz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Survived by mother, Jean (Trout) Madden; sisters, Joyce (Richard) Schobelock, Carla Thompson (Ralph Driscoll) and Gwen (Darrell) Blankenship; niece, Jennifer Thompson; nephews, Tim (Kaye) Peters, Todd Peters (Annie Fowler), Darrick and Zachary Blankenship; 4 great-nephews; aunts, Phyllis Rutan, Wilma Weilbacher and Wanda Pierce; roommates, Laverne Triplett and Louise Cordell (Granny); close friend, Harold "Porky" Speakman; many other relatives and close friends. MECKSTROTH Marguerite Starbuck Meckstroth, age 85, Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Kobacker House. Born March 13, 1917, the youngest child of the late Clarence E. and Ida May Halsey Starbuck. Graduate of Corning, Oh. High School. Attended Ohio and The Ohio State Universities. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church and of the Memorial Society of Central Ohio. Survived by husband, Kenneth W. Meckstroth; son and daughter-in-law, Lee Kenneth and Jean Carol Meckstroth of Vail, Colo.; many cousins, nephews and nieces. According to her wishes, no calling hours. MONACO Helen Anne Monaco, 88, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002. Born August 3, 1913 in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Lodovico Monaco and Adelina Mazzocco. She worked as a Secretary for City Of Columbus. Survivors include Ida Ryle (Sister), Constance (Joseph) Carroll, Phyllis Ryle, John, Patricia and Lillian Ryle, Monica Carroll, Viola (Gus) Lombardo; Special Friends, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Leach. Preceding her in death were her brother Hugo Monaco and nephew Gerald Ryle. Friends will be received at the JOHN QUINT & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue from 4-6 p.m. Friday May 10, 2002.
