(Karlyn) Brown; granddaughters, Kristen and Michelle Brown; sisters, Mrs. Marshall "Betty" Wright and Hetty (Bill) Moritz; several nieces and nephews. BURKEY Mary Elaine Burkey, age 96, Monday, May 13, 2002, Columbus, Oh. Resident of family farm on Weaver Rd. for 35 years when she moved to Columbus in 1966. Preceded in death by parents John Vodhanel and Anna Cebereij Vodhanel of Youngstown, Oh., husband of 55 years George R. Burkey, brothers Joe, Emil and John Jr. Vodhanel, sisters Ann Gavor and Pauline Woods, direct decendent of the Hapsburg Family of Austria. Survived by daughter, Elsie Hayes (Richard D.); son, Wallace E. Burkey (Patricia); grandchildren, Eric, Scott and Kent Burkey, Nancy and Dale Hayes; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Katy, Benjamin Hayes, Bjorn, Sarah, Matthew, Jacob and Ryan Burkey; several nephews and nieces. COLEMAN Lamuel B. Coleman, age 78, of Pataskala, died Monday May 13, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Survived by wife, Alice Coleman; 7 children; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Howard) Dillinger; many friends including best friend, Dorothy Coleman. U.S. Army veteran Korean War. Preceded in death by parents John and Christina Cox, sister Juanita Jackson, brothers Charles, John Jr. and Howard Cox. Survived by wife of 47 years, Helen Cox; children, Janice Cox, Gregory Cox, Randall (Mary) Cox; grandchildren, Derek, Jessica and Madison Cox; sister, Martha Tschudy; brothers, William D., Ellsworth and Benjamin Cox. Born in Columbus, October 28, 1919 to Henry and Kitty Albright. Member of Liberty Presbyterain Church. Active in Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband of over 36 years John Hardman. Survived by son, Quaid (Dona) Smith of Yuma, Ariz.; daughter, Leanne Hildebrand of Columbus; grandchildren, Terry and Tommy Smith of Yuma, Tammy Shirazi of Pasadena, Calif., Skye and James Hildebrand of Colunmbus; great-granddaughters, Tabitha Shirazi and Tommie Smith. She will be lovingly accompanied home by Tammy for a private service and interment at Green Lawn cemetery.

HARNESS Josephine V. Harness, age 76, of Columbus, died on Sunday, May 12, 2002 at her residence. Member of St. Mary Church, Groveport, Oh. Retired as an X-Ray Technician in the Health Care Industry. Born March 28, 1926 in Chillicothe, Oh. to the late Daniel and Margaret Smith Harness. Survived by her daughter, Melanie Wood; brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. HICKEY Ruby Ramey Hickey, age 62, of Marysville, died Monday, May 13, 2002 at her home. Retired Mary Kay consultant and attended True Faith Baptist Church. HILL Mr. Joseph P. Hill Jr., age 54, resident of Bartow, Ga., died Monday at his residence. Mr. Hill was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. and had lived in Columbus, Oh. for many years before moving to Bartow 10 years ago. He was owner of S.T.S., Inc. and the Spotted Dog Antique Store in Bartow. Mr. Hill was a member of the Bartow Volunteer Fire Department, The Bartow Schoolhouse Players, the Bartow Community Club and also was a train enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph P. Hill Sr., sports commentator for W.L.W.C. Radio in Columbus, Oh. for 35 years. Funeral service for Mr. Hill will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Bartow United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Howell and Hubert Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Bartow City cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Bartow Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bartow Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Mr. Hill. Survivors include wife, Bonnie Stanley Hill of Bartow; mother, Frances R. Kellstadt, siblings Alma Doh, Frederick Zeltman and Louise Lee.
