HUINER Erika J. Huiner, age 27, died Monday, May 13, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital. Survived by father, Don Huiner; aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. Preceded in death by mother Eileen and sister Jennifer Leslie. Erika was a past member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and current member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship She was a active member of both Grace Brethren and Vineyard Singles Groups. She was a full time student at Ohio Dominican College and did volunteer work at Lifeline of Ohio and Manor Care Nursing Home. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N, High Street (* mile South of I-270.) Family and friends are invited to gather Friday morning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home to join in a procession to the crematory located at 229 E. State Street. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2002 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 35 E. Stanton Avenue. Pastor Frederick Wiese and Rev. Karen Asmus-Alsnauer co-presiding. Memorial gifts may be made in Erika's name to Columbus Children's Hospital or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

JAMESON Walter Jameson Sr., age 76, departed this life Monday, May 13, 2002 at OSU East Hospital. He was a member of Faith Ministries Church and retired from the Timken Co. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening at his residence. He is predeceased by his parents Nathaniel and Pearl Moorehead Jameson, wife Dorothy Jameson, brother Curtis Jameson, daughter Regina Walker and son Terry Jameson. He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted son, Walter Jameson Jr.; aunt, Elizabeth Jumper of Eden, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Vivian Jameson, Columbus, Oh. and Emily (Ralph) Allen of Cochran, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Sharlene Jameson; son-in-law, Eugene Walker; grandchildren, Nathan Jameson, Brian Hunter, Terry Johnson, Chevvon Jameson, Melody Walker, Shena and Tia Jameson and Brian Gordon; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. JOHNSON Tommy Lee Johnson, 84, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at his residence. WW II U.S. Army veteran having served in Pacific Theatre Aleutian Island Campaign and proud recipient of the purple heart and bronze star. Preceded in death by wife of 53 years Norma. Survived by sons, Gary, Wendell, Ike, Mike, Steve and Scott; daughters, Sharon, Debbie, Colleen, Donna, Drema and Crystal; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002 with Pastor Ed Adkins officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset cemetery with full military honors.

KING Deborah Ann Merriman King, 33, died May 13, 2002 at her Columbus home. She left life as she had lived it: surrounded by love. With her gentle demeanor and strength of character, Debbie inspired devotion from her family, friends and students. She was born September 30, 1968 in Toledo, Oh., enjoyed a happy childhood in Westerville and graduated from Westerville South High School in 1968. She and her husband, Kyle, met in high school. Both felt a deep, almost magical bond that grew stronger every year. They were married in 1989. Together they experienced college, a Naval career based in Virginia Beach, Va., teaching in Westerville City Schools and parenthood. Debbie attended Wittenberg University, Virginia Wesleyan and Old Dominion and graduated with honors from Otterbein College in 1990. She taught language arts and was head track coach at Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Va. Returning to Westerville, she taught language arts at Blendon Middle School. An All-Ohio Capital Conference runner, she coached cross country and track at Blendon, as well as track at Westerville South. She left teaching to devote herself to her young children. Debbie embraced motherhood with great joy, engaging herself fully in every moment. Whether picking apples with the boys or playing kickball with neighborhood children in the cul-de-sac, Debbie loved every minute she spent with her family. Debbie is survived by her husband, Kyle; sons, Griffin and Jason; parents, Bill and Harriet Merriman of Westerville; brother, Michael of Tahoe City, Calif.; grandmother, Marguerite Merriman of Columbus; in-laws, Jack and Bette King of Westerville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kristine (Eric) Robbins of Westerville, Kathleen (John) Harris of Lynn, Ind. and Karen (Ken) Twinem of Westerville; aunts, uncles, 9 nieces and nephews and many friends. Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2002 at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville. Rev. Jeff Dybdahl officiating. Visiting hours will be at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Wednesday 7-9 p.m., Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Blendon Central cemetery. LINDSEY Peggy J. Lindsey, 74, Saturday, May 11, 2002, Lutheran Village. Retired employee of University Club. Member St. Dominic Parrish. Preceded in death by husband Alfonso Lindsey. Survived by loving daughter and son-in-law, Bridgette and Russell Hawkins; brothers, Freeman (Marian) Price, all of Columbus and Phillip (Betty) Price; sister, Jeanette Spencer, both of VA; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany, Russell, III, Brittany; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. McCABE Mary Ann McCabe, age 53, Monday, May 13, 2002 at OSU Hospitals. Retired from Lazarus and a former associate with Clintonville Electric. Member St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Preceded in death by parents Raphael and Mary Igel McCabe. Survived by sisters, Theresa (Carl) Kidwell of Columbus and Betty (Joe) Shaffer of Chesapeake, VA; brothers, Bernard (Nanette) McCabe of Granada Hills, CA, Tom McCabe of Kankakee, IL, Art (Barb), Don and John (Linda) McCabe, all of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews. OSBORNE Robert Osborne, age 73, of Columbus, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at his residence. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker and a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. His survivors include his wife, Evelyn; children, Paulette Donaldson of Columbus, Robert (Bobbie) Osborne, Jr. and Richard Osborne, both of Grove City, Cathy (Carl) Griner and Sandra Milligan, both of Columbus; mother to his children, Joanne Osborne; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Kimberly (Tom) Frost of Cheboygan, MI; sister-in-law, Arlene Mitchell of Westerville; other relatives and many friends. He was a member of Southway Post #144 of the American Legion. A funeral service will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington with Rev. G.A. Haubrich officiating. PARKS Sister Virginia L. Parks, Sunday in peace with Christ at Gahanna Plus Health Center. A long time ago she put on her travelin shoes because she told us that she wanted to be at the meeting. Former member of the Refuge Baptist Church under the Rev. R.F. Hairston Sr., later became a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church under Rev. L.C. Brown Sr. She was a gifted guitar payer and could be said that when she played she could make a guitar talk (Psalm 150/4). Preceded in death by parents Andrew and Gearldlen Ford Daniels, devoted husband George W., son James Lee King, sisters Amanda (David) Michaels and Elviria (Emanuel) Strickland, brothers Willie and David Daniels, Charlie and Ike Daniels, grandson James Lee Parks. She was the last surviving member of the famous Rosebud Gospel Quartet. Survived by sons, Mozell Charles (Sashi) King, VanNuys, Calif., George W. Parks (Fuzzy) Jr., Glenn (Skippy) Parks (Charlene), both of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Barbara King; brothers, Deacon Virgil (Ann) Daniels of Columbus, Arthur Lee (Evangelist Georgia Mae) Daniels, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Leona Parks, Pauline Parks and Eulis Stewart; brother-in-law, Clyde E. Parks (Gloria); 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; niece, Doris L. Brown of Columbus; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives of the Parks and Daniels families and many friend of Columbus and throughout the United States and abroad. Remains will rest in state after 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2002, Ebenezer Baptist Church, 920 E. Fulton St. Service of Celebration 11 a.m. conducted by Right Reverant Michael Dickerson, Pastor. REDMAN Betty J. Redman (Porter) was born on December 27, 1937; she departed on Monday, May 13, 2002 to be with the Lord. She worked for many years as a nurse's aide for Grant and Mt. Carmel Hospitals in Columbus, OH. She submitted her life to the Lord as an adult. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church (New Faith) and Mt. Nebo where she served faithfully in many different capacities. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Paul Kellis Redman, parents LeBartow and Mattie Porter, sister Peggy Hendrix and nephew Roger Keith Porter. She leaves to cherish her memories sons, Carleton Lamont (Stephanie) Porter, Paul Angelo Redman, Eric Chase Redman and Marc Anthony Redman; sisters, Lilly Porter, Vicki Porter, Janice Porter and Phyllis (Joe) Holliman; in-laws, Gordon (Freda) Redman, Robert (Betty) Redman, Nancy Safford, Judith Pinkins and Janet Vinson; grandchildren, Chauncey, Paul III, and Taquoia; great-grandchildren, Chase and Chasity. SEAL Ethel Agnes Seal, age 85, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2002 in Sebring, Fla. The daughter of the late William David and Mae Donaldson Anderson. Mrs. Seal was a former resident of Pataskala, Oh., having moved to the Sebring area in 1998. A homemaker and member of the Brookwood Presbyterian Church, Columbus, Oh. and the O.E.S. Chapter #468 and served as Worthy Matron in 1971. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lee Flaherty, Sebring, Fla. and Carol J. Calvert, Reston, Va.; sisters, Betty Saltsman, Wintersville, Oh., Jackie Hock, Steubenville, Oh., Judy Cragle, Wintersville, Oh., Mary Jane Thomas, Tampa, Fla. and Esqueline Doyle, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Worked as an accountant at the Ohio Department of Transportation. Received his B.S. in accounting from Franklin University.
