DORN Mildred I. Dorn, age 97, of Delaware, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at the Cherith Nursing Home in Delaware. She was a retired Bookkeeper for the McVey Furniture Company. Her husbands Clyde Bell and Arthur E. Dorn, as well as her former husband Paul Gordon and her son Max Gordon preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rose Gordon of Delaware; a step-daughter, Phyllis Jones-Braun of Dublin; a step-son, George Dorn of Vero Beach, Fla.; grandson, Dan (Jeannie) Gordon of West Liberty, Oh.; great-granddaughters, Amy and Ashley Gordon; step-grandchildren, Robert Griffin of Iowa, Kay Mills-Macknyk of Chicago, Ill., Heide Stover of Columbus, Philip Dorn of Cincinnati, Oh., Kristi Dorn-Wachtel and Lore Dorn-Cook, both of Worthington. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, 15370 Meredith State Road, Condit, Oh., where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2002. Rev. Bob Riggs officiating. ENGLISH Evelyn L. English, 78, of Holiday, Fla., formerly of Columbus, Oh., died May 14, 2002. She was born in Grafton, W.Va. on July 13, 1923, the daughter of John F. Dunnington and Florence C. McFarling Dunnington. She was the wife of Lawrence (Larry) English. She was the Secretary and a member of Indianola Church of Christ retiring in 1979 when she moved to Treasure Island, Fla. Survivors include her husband; 1 son, John (Nancy) English of Columbus, Oh.; 1 daughter, Joan (Donald) Gray of New Port Richey, Fla.; 2 sisters, Martha Lee Cassell and Catherine Kisor, both of Ironton, Oh.; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons. Service will be held at Sunshine Christian Home, Holiday, Fla. on Friday, May 17 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Florida National cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. DOBIES FUNERAL HOME, is in charge of arrangements.

FRASURE Donna Frasure, 47, of Pataskala, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Memorial service will be 2pm Saturday, May 18, 2002, at KAUBER-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, with Pastor Roy Hutchinson officiating. Donna was born May 17, 1954, in Louisa, Ky., to the late David and Dorothy McDowell Moore. She was employed for 19 years at Holphane, Pataskala, where she was on the Christmas Families Charity Committee. Survived by her husband of 19 years, Vic Frasure of Pataskala; four sons, all of Pataskala, BJ Queen, Chad (Jeanette) Queen, Brian and Storm Frasure; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Thelma Frasure of Pickerington; brother, Bill Moore of Pataskala; sister, Snick (Jerry) Robinson of Pataskala; brother, David (Melinda) Moore of Orient, Oh.; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandmother and inlaws. IGLESIAS Prof. Mario Iglesias, 77, of Worthington, Thursday May 16, 2002, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Professor Iglesias was a teacher, author and a member of the faculty at The Ohio State University where he taught Spanish language and culture for over 30 years. A natural-born teacher, Mario devoted his life to the education of young people of all ages, from the elementary level at Ruston Academy in Havana, Cuba to graduate students at OSU. Mario was generous in spirit, kind of heart, and always humble about his many accomplishments. He was a sage philosopher on Life, with high integrity and endless honesty. A true believer in individual freedom and openness of thought, Mario led his family to the freedom of the United States in 1961 to escape the increasingly oppressive communist regime that was taking over his beloved homeland of Cuba. Never waivering in his courage to start anew, Mario resumed his life as an educator and mentor for countless students who passed through his classes. Mario was a devoted family man, loving husband, caring father and grandfather. His dedication and devotion to his family was ever present and always visible. He was a mentor, best friend, confidante and eternal optimist. Preceded in death by his father Daniel, mother Consola and brother Norberto Iglesias. Mario is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alicia; daughters, Alicia Iglesias (John) Amoss and Amalia Maria Iglesias; grandsons, Jason Alfredo Amoss and Jonas Iglesias Amoss. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-7pm Sunday, May 19, 2002, at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington (614)885-4006. LeROY Martin J. LeRoy, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Hamburg, NY, Thursday, May 16, 2002 in Columbus. Served in WWII as Corporal in Army Signal Corps; retired as senior design engineer after 26 years at Bell Aerospace Textron; Past Lt. Commander of Ft. Myers' Power Squadron, education officer; member of VFW; and American Legion Post 614, Hilliard. Survived by wife of 58 years, Elsie; children, Linda (Olin) Jones of Columbus and William (Shawne) LeRoy of New Jersey; grandchildren, Melissa and Michelle Jones and Katie, Ryan and Casey LeRoy. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002 at St. Peter's Church, 6899 Smokey Row Rd., Worthington, with Father Bob Penhallurick officiating. MILES L. James Miles, age 74, of West Jefferson Tuesday in Doctor's West Hospital, Columbus. Jim was retired from Mac Tools as a security coordinator. Survivors include: wife, Alberta J. Rhea Miles; son, James R. Miles of West Jefferson; three daughters, Pamela (Dale) Warton of Taiwan, Nancy (Drew) Waller of Ft. Gay, W. Va. and Deanna (Gregg) Watson of Reynoldsburg; nine grandchildren; two sisters. Funeral service 11am Saturday in the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson with Rev. Glade May officiating. Her survivors include her husband, Gerald; step-children, Vicki, Lynn, Terri & Lisa; 9 step-grandchildren; brother, Jessie Gardner; sisters, Peggy Bush, Sue Cox, Frances Duffy & Shirley Mayes; other relatives and friends. SCHELL James Sidney Schell, 68, of Celina, Tenn., May 7, 2002, at his residence. Retired from General Motors. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, June; sons, James, Jr., Kraig (Jennifer), David Shrider and William Shrider; daughters, Barbara (Mike) Stambaugh, Robin Schell, Mary (Eddie) Russell and Kelly (Don) McCormick; sisters, Jo Ann Ricevuto and Anna May Shook; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren. Member and former officer of the Fairfield County Garden Club, former Elder and Deacon in the Church, a farm owner, and a member of Fairfield County in Bloom, 1992. She is survived by husband, John M. Stamets; son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Elizabeth Stamets; grandchildren, Jonathan, Sarah and David Stamets, all of Lancaster; sisters, Nancy (Bob) Myers of Florida, Jo Ellen (Phil) Adcox of Tennessee, Judy (Tom) Kosciuszko of Pataskala; and family friend, Homer Schaaf of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Jeannette Blessing. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Lancaster.
