STORTS James Howard Storts, age 55, of Pickerington, Oh., died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Oh. He was the CEO of Pentranic USA, owner and operator of TSF Marketing, and a former employee of Zenith, Businessland, and Basic Computer. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, life member of Kingston's National Registry of Who's Who, honored as a Kentucky Colonel with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, received a National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee, supported the Boy Scouts of America, and several other foundations. He was an avid motorcyclist, making two cross-country trips with two of his sons. A 1966 graduate of Millersport High School, received a BA in Business from Ohio University, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during the Vietnam era. His life was one of charity and love given to all who passed his way, most of all to his family. Always putting the welfare of his wife, 3 sons and all who knew him before himself. His last words to his family, "I Love You Guys", will forever echo in the hearts of those closest to him and instill the legacy of his life's work, for all eternity. Until the morning comes when he will be reunited in celestial glory with his most prized possession, his family, together forever. We love You. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Beverly (Ricketts) Storts; sons, Mark (Lesley) Storts of St. George, Utah, Rick (Linda) Storts of Mattawan, Mich. and Michael Storts of Pickerington; grandchildren, Evan, Sorais, Lucy and Lola Storts; sister, Susan (David) Tuller of Canal Winchester; brother, Arthur (Carol) Storts of Cullen, Va.; and several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Claude Ricketts; and his great-aunt, Josephine Founds, both of Pickerington. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Wayne and Margaret Jean (Moran) Storts, mother-in-law Pauline Ricketts and his sister-in-law Paulette (Ricketts) Kilbarger. Graveside funeral service and interment will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster, Oh. Arrangements were handled by the DWAYNE R. STRICKLER Martha Ann Strickler, age 89, died on Friday, May 31, 2002 at the Memorial Hospital, Marysville, Oh. Retired as a legal secretary with the Nationwide Insurance Co. Preceded in death by her husband William Strickler. Survived by her son, Stephen Strickler; grandsons, Wesley and Eric Strickler; nieces, Maryland Canfield and Barbara Hegler; nephew, Dan Ditter; good friend and loved one, Kim Fields; and many relatives and friends. WEBER Eva E. Weber, age 90, went to be with her Lord Sunday, June 2, 2002 at St. Rita Nursing Home. Member of Lockbourne Road Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband Glenn, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Gene Price; son and daughter-in-law, George and Betty Weber; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren- 5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. ANDERSON William Rex Anderson, also known as "Dee", age 41, passed away suddenly, Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Grant Medical Center. Mr. Anderson attended Marion Franklin High School and was a member of the Stagehands Local 12. "Dee" was preceded in death by his father David Anderson, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Anne Anderson; grandmother, Ada Phillipp; brothers, David (Debby) Anderson, Jr., Richard (Pam) Anderson and Kenneth Devine; nephew, Jesse Paul Anderson; niece, Lauren C. Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus. ANTLE Glenford Martin Antle, 76, passed away Friday, January 18, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy where he served during WW II. He retired from DCSC as an Equipment Specialist. He was a golfing enthusiast whose interests included the outdoors and woodworking for his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Anne Antle; 5 children, Kathleen Stark, Patricia (Rick) McKean, Glenna (Phillip) Downey, Keith (Denise) Antle and Debra (Randy) Kelley; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his parents; and five siblings. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2002 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service. Private Family Interment. BALLENGER Lloyd R. Ballenger, age 91, of Reynoldsburg, died Tuesday June 4, 2002 at Friendship Village of Dublin. He formerly operated and owned Reeb's Restaurant for over 50 years. Member and Past Governor of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club, also a member of The Central Ohio, Ohio State and National Restaurant Assns.; The Masonic Lodge and Aladdin Temple Shrine. Preceded in death by a brother Dwight "Smoky" Ballenger, a sister Florence Meeks and a grandson Charlie Ballanger. Survived by wife of 67 years, Nora Ballenger; son, Edward (Sondra) Ballenger of Newark; daughters, Sue (Marty) Headlee of Westerville and June (Mike) Jacobs of Pickerington; grandchildren, Shelley (Bob) Bishop, Eddie Ballenger, Tamra (Victor) Schroeder, Chad (Camille) Headlee, Mike (Jannette) Jacobs and Brad Jacobs; 8 great-grandchildren. BARRETT Robert T. Barrett left the worries of the world for God's eternal care at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002 in Hospice Care at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Bob, as he was known to all, was born at home in Mansfield, Oh. on April 26, 1917 to Monte and Marjorie (Goetting) Barrett, and was a graduate from Mansfield Senior High School in 1935. He worked for the Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company, was a long-time agent for Nationwide Insurance, and retired from the Franklin County Auditor's office. Bob followed God's will for more that 50 years and was always active in his church, becoming an elder at The Redeemer's Church on Courtright Rd and a lay minister. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Donna, who spent the last two years caring for him at home and at Echo Manor Nursing Home; his children, Tim (Linda) Barrett, Stephanie ( Bud) Butler, Kathy (Steve) Clymer and Roger (Barbara) Digel-Barrett; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother Lt. Col. Paul C. Barrett. Bob's funeral service will be lovingly performed by Dr. Don Crooks, of the New Hope Church of Pickerington, at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Friday June 9, at 1 p.m. The family will have calling hours at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, and from noon until the service on Friday. BAXTER Edith H. Baxter, age 89, formerly of Columbus, died on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at Pickaway Manor Care Center, Circleville, Oh. Retired as a Clerk/Traffic Manager in the Armored Car Industry. She was born on April 23, 1913 in Parkersburg, W.Va. to the late Jesse and Elsie Dehn Hodge. She is also preceded in death by her husband Farmer E. Baxter. Survived by her children, Curtis D. and wife, Vivian Queen, Jack and wife, Frances Baxter; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; relatives and friends. BODINE Kevin J. Bodine, age 37, of Galloway, died unexpectedly June 4, 2002 at Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. Columbus Police Officer Veteran for 10 years, serving on Freeway Patrol 2nd shift for the past 6 years. Special Duty Officer with Kokosing for many years. U.S. Army Veteran. Member of FOP Lodge No. 9, Kevin enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson cross country and to local events and was a member of Harley Owners Group (HOG). BROWN William Spurlock Brown, age 89, Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the Minerva Park Place Care Center. Retired U.S. Post Office Manager. Preceded in death by brother Joseph Spurlock. Survived by his wife, Juanita; daughter, Karen Jones; grandsons, Greg, Carl and Bryan Jones; sisters-in-law, Ruth Spurlock, Georgianna (Wesley) Hodges of Flint, MI.; nephews, Richard Spurlock, Donald Spurlock of Los Angeles, CA. and Jonathan (Flora) Hodges of Flint, MI.; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2002 at the chapel of C.D. WHITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1217 Mt. Vernon Ave. Dr. Ervin Smith, Officiant. BUSH Golda Miller Bush, 100, of Bethalto, IL, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, 12:30 a.m. at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, Ill. She was born September 26, 1901 in Savonburg, Kan., and was the daughter of the late Erton and Lillie Estella (Smith) Miller. She was employed many years as a Bookkeeper and Accountant Manager before her retirement. In more recent years she moved to Bethalto, residing at Villa Rose Retirement Facility. She will long be remembered for her love of family, friends, and enjoyed her life to the fullest, and was still active and balanced her own checkbook until age 100, and a member of O.E.S. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her nieces, Carol Ann Roberts of Columbus, Oh., Cathlyn Bundy of Olney, Ill.; other extended family and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Freeda Ipha Bundy, Merle Bethea and Violet McDaniels, a brother Alexander E. Miller and by nephews Wayne E. Bundy and Earl L. Bundy. In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation, and private family services will be held honoring her 100 years of life, along with burial in Kan. DiROSARIO Mary Louise DiRosario, age 94, of Worthington, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Mayfair Village Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Frank T. DiRosario. Mary Louise was a graduate of North High School and her memberships include St. Michael Church, the St. Charles Mother's Club, St. Michael's Choir, the Ohio State Mother's Club and the Elizabethan Guild. Her survivors include her sons, Thomas F. (Maud), Philip (Barbara), all of Columbus and John (Inez) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Gregory DiRosario, Claudina (Jim) Snopik, Douglas DiRosario of Columbus, Michael and Philip DiRosario of Colorado Springs, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Preston and McKenzie DiRosario of Colorado Springs, Colo., Madison and Nathan Snopik of Columbus; and her dear friend, Alice Heller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at St. Michael Church, 5750 North High St., Worthington. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery. FLOWERS Gene E. Flowers, 63, of 2024 Buena Vista Dr., Coshocton, died Saturday June 1 at 10 p.m. in Nikina, Ontario, Canada. He was born October 4, 1938 in Galion, Oh. to the late Lowell and Nellie "Cass" Flowers. He was a graduate of O.U., Athens, OH and was a retired C.P.A. for Rea & Associates. He belonged to Grace United Methodist Church, Coshocton Elks Lodge, Lions Club member, past president Coshocton Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Society of C.P.A.'s, Coshocton Sportsman Club and an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Sharleen Talbott, whom he married on December 2, 1955; son, Jeff (Susan) Flowers of Hilliard, OH; and daughter, Krista (Kevin) Elgin of Pickerington, OH.; 4 grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn (Fred) Hoenicke of Lake Kiowa, Tex. The funeral will take place at Grace United Methodist Church, Coshocton, OH on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. Pastor Ruth Roth presiding. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery, Galion, OH with a 2 p.m. graveside service Saturday, June 8. Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Friday at GIVEN-DAWSON COSHOCTON FUNERAL HOME and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
