McGRAW JR. Billy Ray "Little Bill" McGraw Jr., age 37, of Grove City passed away suddenly following a sudden illness on Sunday, June 9, 2002. He was born on June 18, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio, and spent most of his childhood and adult life in and around West Jefferson, graduating from Tolles Tech School, Plain City in 1982. Billy Ray's greatest joy was his racecars; building them, racing them and helping others with theirs. Bill was a very funny man, full of charm with a big heart. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Bill & Suzanne McGraw Sr. of Galloway; mother, Hellen L. McGraw of Lancaster; three sisters, Bobbie (Mike) Ellsworth of Pickerington, Melanie McGraw of Galloway and Maria (Robert) Harlow of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Kelly R. (Kelly) McGraw of Grove City, Joseph (Cynthia) Gorman and Michael Gorman, all of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Howard & Georgia Damron; paternal grandparents Alfred & Leatha McGraw. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday in the RADER-MCDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, with Pastor Jim Riggs officiating. Friends may call in the funeral home 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Sunset cemetery, Alton.

McKENZIE Paul Edwin McKenzie, 60, of Columbus, passed away, Monday, June 10, 2002 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was an Electrician for Vacuform Corp. for 25 years. He is survived by loving wife of 35 years, Dorothy Mae; step-sons, Paul Moore Jr., George (Cindy Lee) Moore, Duke (Dori) Moore and Gary (Robin) Moore; brothers, Joe, Gene and Eual; sisters, Hattie and Maxine; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by parents Ova and Esty, brother Ora and sister Becky. A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2002 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Interment Concord cemetery.

NOGAWICK Jeffrey F. Nogawick, age 57, suddenly Sunday, June 9, 2002 at Liberty Hill Farms, Glouster, Oh. Retired as Chief, Office of Real Estate and Land Management, Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Preceded in death by father Clovis Nogawick. Survived by wife, Phyllis; son, Trevor (Amanda); mother, Beatrice; sister, Kathleen Engler, Fla.; brother, James (Sue) of Ashville; mother and father-in-law, Angelica and Howard Davis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Dwight Adkins; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, wonderful friends, neighbors, as well as his loyal and faithful companions, Jenny and John Henry. Jeff loved: the outdoors, especially during the fall and winter, his tree farm, planting trees and watching them grow, gardening, fishing, cooking, walking the dogs and taking them for rides, feeding the birds ("they count on me"), "dumb" movies and all animals. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial St. Joseph cemetery. OLDFIELD A funeral service for Mary C. (Jacob) Oldfield, age 89, of Millersport, Ohio, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2002, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Buckeye Lake with Fr. Timothy Hayes and Rev. Charles Imhoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery. Mrs. Oldfield, who was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, died June 11, 2002, at her daughter-in-law's residence. She was born April 28, 1913 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Mary (Vass) Jacob. She retired as a cook from the Southwest Licking School District and also from the Columbus Country Club. She was a member of the Loyal Service Club and the Kirkersville Mother's Club. Mary will be greatly missed as a legend in her community. Surviving are daughter-in-law and nephew, Connie and Ken Gornall of Millersport; granddaughters, Holly (Ryan) Holton and Lora (Bob) Schoonover; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Holton and Madelyn Schoonover; step-grandchildren, Diana (James) Neal, Karen (C.J.) Fosnaugh and Steven Gornall; sister, Margaret Smith; sisters-in-law, Mildred Gornall and Lucille Francis; and special nieces, nephews, step-great-grandchildren, relatives and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Oldfield, a son George Oldfield and a brother George Jacob. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2002, at the HENDERSON, VAN ATTA & JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville. OUTCALT Imogene M. Outcalt, age 87, of Coshocton Rd., died June 8, 2002, at the Country Club Retirement Center. She was born April 30, 1915, in Pleasantville, Ohio, the daughter of Pearl and Maude (Bope) Griffith and had been a Mount Vernon resident since 1940. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Knox Chapter #236 of the O.E.S. Mrs. Outcalt had been employed as a medical records librarian at the Martin Memorial Hospital and retired in 1971 from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She is survived by two sons, Milton (Jan) Outcalt of Lewis Center, Ohio and Joseph (Cathie) Outcalt of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandsons; two step grandchildren; and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Karl Outcalt in March of 2002, and her brother Hugh Griffith. Friends may call at the FLOWERS-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon (740-392-6956) on Saturday, June 15, from 1 p.m until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. The Reverend J. PFEIFFER Ruth H. Pfeiffer, age 92, of Westerville, June 10, 2002 at home surrounded by her devoted family. Born to Catherine Nienstickle and Joseph Stahley on January 24, 1910 in Cincinnati, Oh., she was the last surviving sibling of 6 brothers and sisters. Survived by daughters, Fleur Sells of Westerville and Marcia Pfeiffer of Conn.; grandchildren, Dieter Joseph Brandyberry of Wash., Payton Brandyberry of Chicago, Katherine Sells (Daniel) Low, S. Elizabeth Sells Shoman, John (Teri) Sells, all of Upper Arlington; great-grandchildren, John William Low, Nathan Webster Sells and Abigail Elizabeth Sells; niece, Sandra (Frank) Fieler of Cincinnati; nephews, Bruce (Ann) Stahley of Calif. and Charles (JoAnn) Pfeiffer of Westerville. REAPER Martha Irene Reaper, age 77, of Columbus, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 at Arlington Court Nursing Home. She retired from White Castle System after 23 years of service and was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Reaper and brothers Worthy, Joe and Virgil Denny. Her survivors include her loving son, Robert J. (Sally) Reaper of Columbus; granddaughter, Mindy (Ken) Kirby of Delaware; grandson, Robert B. Reaper of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Haley, Rachael and Cole Kirby; brother, Stanley (Faye) Denny of Columbus; sister, Ruth Culberson of Newark, Oh.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was a member of Maize Road Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2002 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington with Pastor John Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. SIMON Rosemary Simon, 72, of Columbus, went to heaven surrounded by her loving family at her home Friday, June 7, 2002. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and adored her family. She enjoyed playing Bridge and visiting with her many friends, traveling with her 2 sisters and spending time with and supporting her grandchildren's many activities. She is survived by husband of 52 years, John Jack” Simon; children, Lynn (William) Lau of Lebanon, Oh., Robert (Ellen) Simon of Columbus and William (Lisa) Simon of Columbus; grandchildren, William C. Lau, Christine (Jacob) Shaw, Lindsey and Andrew Simon, Lara and Sara Simon; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Adrienne Hayes and Marie (Wayne) Johnson; brother, Ellis Monach; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Lucille Monach and sister Madeline Polski. A Memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2002 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service. STRAWSER Henry "Hank" Strawser, age 83, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 8, 2002 in his home. Born September 30, 1918 in Plain City, the son of Lewis and Della (Wright) Strawser. Employed by OSU Hospitals for many years in the electrical department. He loved antique guns and enjoyed hunting. Survived by 15 cousins. Graveside service 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2002 at Forest Grove cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Hamilton officiating. Arrangements by FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St., Plain City, 614-873-8013.

WARNER Donald G. Warner, age 77, of Reynoldsburg, passed away at home Sunday, June 9, 2002. He retired from ABC Gas Leak, was a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant WW II veteran, received Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantry Medal, was a member of 78th Division Veterans Association. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Grace Warner, sister Florence Masters, brothers Robert and Kenneth Warner. He is survived by his wife, Rosella; daughters, Judy and Marcia Warner; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His family will receive friends Wednesday 7-9 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main St., Reynoldsburg. Private family interment will be held at the National cemetery, Dayton, Oh. WASSERSTROM Dr. Leonard Wasserstrom, age 89, died June 10, 2002 in Henderson, Nevada. Born August 26, 1912 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Nathan and Rebecca Wasserstrom. A graduate of the College of Dentistry, Ohio State University, Class of 1935, he practiced for 55 years with his twin brother, Stanley Wasserstrom. A sportsman and outdoorsman, he took particular pride in the care and cultivation of a forest on a family-owned farm. He was named an honorary member of the Ohio Forestry Association. Survived by his wife, Rhoda Welt Wasserstrom; three children, Randy Wasserstrom of Raleigh, North Carolina, Steven Wasserstrom of Portland, Oregon, his wife, Judith Margles and children, Pesha and Shulamit, and Amy Wasserstrom of Takoma Park, Maryland, her husband, Craig Alexander and children, Lily and Langston; step-children, Glenn Welt of Henderson, Nevada, Michelle Welt, Lynn Welt and children, Audrey, David and Michael of Atlanta, Georgia; and sister, Marjorie (Jerome) Wasserstrom Gross. Predeceased by siblings Doris (David) Kaplan, Sam (Evelyn), Hyman, Emil (Jennie), William (Cecelia), Julius "Boots" (Ethel), Janet (David) Goldsmith, Stanley (Sally), Sidney (Bertha) and Albert (Joan). WREN Robert Michael Wren, age 81, of Athens, Oh., died early Tuesday morning, June 11, 2002 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Born November 9, 1920 in Cleveland, Oh. son of the late Frank Joseph and Florence Sweeney Wren. Wren served as the Ohio University Baseball Coach for 24 years. A graduate from Ohio University where he received his BS degree in Education in 1943. He was named head Baseball Coach at Ohio University in 1949. Survived by his college sweetheart of whom he had been married to for 59 years, Lois J. Hull Wren; daughters, Susan (Larry) Adams, Ft. Worth, Tex., Karen (Dennis) Stansfield, Athens, Oh.; son, R. Mike (Lana) Wren, Athens, Oh.; grandchildren, Rachael (David) Lupia, Oldsmar, Fla., Rebecca (James) Grady, Largo, Fla., Brooke Batchelor, Ft. Worth, Tex., Tyler Wren, Athens, Oh., Jared Wren, Athens, Oh.; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Lupia, Oldsmar, Fla., Gabriel Lupia, Oldsmar, Fla.; sister, Betty Wren, Cleveland, Oh.; sisters-in-law, Jean Brooks, Ft. ZUCKER Diane Zucker, 71, of North Port, Fla., (La Casa Mobile Home Park), died on June 8, 2002. She was born on January 23, 1931 in St. Joseph, Mo. She had been a resident of Columbus, Oh. from 1964 to 1990, she then moved to North Port, Fla. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. She is survived by her husband, Ira C. Zucker of North Port, Fla.; 2 daughters, Lisa L. Brumfield of Gahanna, Oh., Erin R. Akins of Armorel, Ark.; 3 sons, Neil Ferree of Torrance, Calif., Andy Ferree of Strongsville, Oh., Matthew Ferree of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; brother, Fr. James Corbett of Ojai, Calif.; 9 grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Main St., Johnstown with Rev. David Phaneuf officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery. Mrs. Barb was born November 6, 1923 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio to the late Wayne and Bernice Morton Smith. She was a member of Johnstown United Methodist Church, graduated from Bliss Business College. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert A.
