JORDAN Leo Jordan, age 88, of Columbus died June 12, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. US Army Veteran WWII. Retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. Preceded in death by first wife Loretta, parents Robert and Alafare, brothers Minuard, Arnold, and Clifford Jordan, sisters Delphia Meadows, Ruie Vance and Myrtle Gillilan. Survived by wife of 54 years, Marie; daughter and son-in-law, Genny and Dale Riggin of Columbus; grandchildren, Dale Riggin II and Rebecca (Rick) Slater; great-grandchildren, Samantha Riggin and Isaac Slater; brother, Clyde Jordan of Columbus; many nieces and nephews. LANG Jean B. Lang, age 81, of Columbus, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at home. Born May 19, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Carl and Beatrice Snohr Gilbert. Member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she was very active. Veteran of World War II, U.S. Army Nurse Corps. Member of Women in Military Service for America. PELFREY Richard "Rick" Pelfrey, age 50, of Delaware, died Monday, June 10, 2002 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was employed with Ashland Chemical as a Senior Technical Services Representative. He was preceded in death by an infant son Jeffrey, parents Luther and Grace (Havens) Pelfrey, and a brother Bill Pelfrey. His survivors include his wife, Vicki; daughter, Brandi Pelfrey of Anchorage, Alaska; and a son, Kyle Pelfrey of the residence; brother, Tom Pelfrey of Blanchester, OH; sisters, Rebecca Smith of Lexington, KY and Linda Beadle of Ashland, KY; seven nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. PFEIFFER Ruth H. Pfeiffer, age 92, of Westerville, June 10, 2002 at home surrounded by her devoted family. Born to Catherine Nienstickle and Joseph Stahley on January 24, 1910 in Cincinnati, Oh., she was the last surviving sibling of 6 brothers and sisters. Survived by daughters, Fleur Sells of Westerville and Marcia Pfeiffer of Conn.; grandchildren, Dieter Joseph Brandyberry of Wash., Payton Brandyberry of Chicago, Katherine Sells (Daniel) Low, S. Elizabeth Sells Shoman, John (Teri) Sells, all of Upper Arlington; great-grandchildren, John William Low, Nathan Webster Sells and Abigail Elizabeth Sells; niece, Sandra (Frank) Fieler of Cincinnati; nephews, Bruce (Ann) Stahley of Calif. and Charles (JoAnn) Pfeiffer of Westerville. RICHERT Florence P. Richert, age 83, formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and Wesley Ridge Life Center Community, and a US Navy WWII veteran. Preceded in death by her husband Franklin M. Richert. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Jack) Koelbl, Rebecca (Robert) Brown of Fla., Michelle Kazlausky, Patricia (Neal) Byerly, Megan (Bart) McBane, and Elizabeth (Paul) Money, MO; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Priscilla (Norman) Miller and Mary Montavan. RODEMANN Ingeborg M. Rodemann, age 83, of Columbus died June 11, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville. She was born January 31, 1919 in Eureka, South Dakota to the late Rev. Dr. Wilhelm F. and Hanna (Schoenbohm) Rodemann. Also preceded in death by one brother Dr. H. William Rodemann. Survivors include sister-in-law, Alberta Rodemann of Friendship Village, Columbus; niece, Patricia "Cia" Rodemann and Russ Ederwein of Lewis Center; nephew, David and Nancy Rodemann of Rockwell City, Iowa; great-nieces and nephews, Kem, Crystal, Rose, Philip, Jason and Gilbert of Rockwell City, Iowa. Retired from a long career as a teacher of ancient History and German at Newark High School from 1956-1984. Ms. Rodemann graduated from the University of Tennessee and the University of Illinois with Master's Degrees in History and German. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma. SCHWAB Betty Elaine (Ausenbaugh) Schwab, age 68, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2002 in Los Angeles, Calif. after a long battle with cancer. Born in Oklahoma City, Ok. on September 20, 1933 and grew up in Kentucky and Ohio. Member of First Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio, she was active on the Board of Deacons, served as Moderator for 3 years, was active in Bible Study and taught Sunday School. She was a member of Beacon Chapter No. 593 OES. Graduate of Bexley High School, The Ohio State University (BSN), and University of Dayton (MA in Education). Retired from Mount Carmel School of Nursing as a nursing instructor. She also taught nursing at St. Anthony Hospital, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Springfield Community Hospital and Central Ohio Technical College. Preceded in death by parents Billy & Flora Ausenbaugh and brother Billy Duane Ausenbaugh.
