Virginia Ruth Ward
(1942 - 2003)

MARK CENTER - Virginia Ruth Ward, 60, of Mark Center, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her home.
The daughter of Agnes (Stewart) and Donald Marks, she was born Oct. 1, 1942, in Ballston Spa, N.Y. On June 2, 1963, she married Fay "Doc" Ward in Ballston Spa, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1999.
A 1961 graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake Central High School in Ballston Spa, she was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (and wife, Patsy) Ward of Mark Center and Donald (Sherri) Ward of Wauseon; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Marcia) Berry of Sherwood; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Diane Perkins of New York.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; two sons, William and Patrick; a daughter, Melanie; and a sister Jean Marks Masters.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Miller to officiate. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery in Hicksville.
Memorials may be made to Hospice, the Caring Way, of Defiance County, or to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Mildred Mae Moffett
(1903 - 2003)

FREMONT, Ind. - Mildred Mae Moffett, 99, of Fremont, and formerly of Orland, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Coldwater, Mich.
Born July 11, 1903, at Toledo, Ohio, to Louisa (Perry) and Henry Watkins, she married LaVern Moffett on Aug. 31, 1922 at LaGrange, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1980. She had been a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Paul (and wife, Donna) Moffett of Fremont; three grandchildren, Jim Moffett of LaGrange, Judy Kelley of Toledo, Ohio and Linda Peerboom of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two great-grandsons, Sean and Ryan Kelley; two great-granddaughters, Melaine and Melinda Peerboom; and one great-great-granddaughter, Natille Kelley.
Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (Indiana Time) in the Beams Funeral Home, Fremont.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. (Indiana Time) in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Ind.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Orin D. "David" Imthurn
(1942 - 2003)

EVANSPORT - Orin D. "David" Imthurn, 60, of Evansport, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa.
Born July 20, 1942, at Wauseon, to Lucille (Helms) and Andrew C. Imthurn, he married Sue Helmke on Dec. 1, 1963 and she survives.
A member of St. John Lutheran Church, he had retired after 34 years with the Tiffin Twp. Fire Department. He was the owner and operator of Evansport Oil for 30 years and was also employed by the Tiffin Twp. Trustees.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Jeanette) Kemerling of Westerville; four sons, Brent Imthurn of Round Hill, Va., Bert Imthurn of Wauseon, Brad Imthurn of Evansport and Bruce Imthurn of Defiance; and 12 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Ellis "Al" Imthurn and Clarence Imthurn.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9-11 a.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance, with the Rev. Donald L. Luhring to officiate. Burial will be in Evansport Cemetery, Defiance County. Memorials may be made to the Tiffin Twp. Fire Department, St. John Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.

Arthur Wright
(1919 - 2003)

Arthur Wright, 84, of Bryan, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at his home in Bryan.
Born March 4, 1919, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Annie (Kalalalahua) and Harry Wright, he married Dorothy C. Hulbert on Feb. 24, 1980, in Columbia, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2000.
He was a World War II veteran of the army engineers serving from 1942-1945. After the service, he was employed as an office manager with a public storage company in the Chicago area. Surviving are five brothers, three sisters, and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Pace of Rochester, Ind. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Columbia cemetery with Pastor Cliff Graves to officiate. There will be no visitation.
Krill Funeral Service in Edgerton is in charge of arrangements.

John H. Rodriguez Jr.
(1947 - 2003)

WAUSEON - John H. Rodriguez Jr., 55, of Wauseon, died Monday evening, May 26, 2003, at Medical College of Ohio Hospital in Toledo where he had been a patient for five days.
Born Sept. 4, 1947, at San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Petra (Hernandez) and John Rodriguez Sr.
Living at Defiance before moving to Wauseon about one year ago, he was a long-distance truck driver and attended the Mennonite Church.
Surviving are two sons, Johnnie Ray Rodriguez of Defiance and Ricardo Rodriguez of Wauseon; a daughter, Mrs. Rob (Betty) Woodring of Swanton; five granddaughters; two brothers, Raymond Rodriguez of Hawaii and Jesse Rodriguez of Nevada; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Ashley and Patricia Rodriguez, both of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Benjamin (Susan) Aguilar of Wauseon and Monica St. John of Decatur, Ind.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers; Richard Rodriguez and Gilbert Rodriguez: and a sister, Gracie Aguilar.
Visitation will be held Friday from noon until the time of services in the Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. David Tijerina to officiate. Interment will follow in the North Pettisville Cemetery.

Jeremy Lynn Carlisle
(1977 - 2003)

PAULDING - Jeremy Lynn Carlisle, 26, of Paulding, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile-motorcycle accident.
Born April 7, 1977, in Paulding County, he was the son of Susan (Youtsey) and Ronald Carlisle. He was self-employed as a general construction worker.
Surviving are his parents; a fiancˇ, Jodi Lee Pearl; a stepson, Ethan Lynn Pearl; three brothers, Bob (and wife, Sue Ann) Carlisle of Broughton, David (Dawn) Carlisle of Paulding and Rodney (Jada) Carlisle of Bryan; two sisters, Candace Caple of Antwerp and Darlene Youtzy of Van Wert; grandmothers, Dorothy Carlisle of Paulding and Clara Mae Youtsey of Latty; many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gerald "Gib" Carlisle and Charles "Chuck" Lewis Youtsey Sr.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-9 p.m. in the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to service on Friday in the First Christian Church, Paulding.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Susan  Taylor to officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.
Memorials may be made to the family.
