She was a charter member of the Roundtown Garden Club, of Circleville, member of Wilson Avenue and Circleville Church of the Nazarene. She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Goldie Hardman, sister Marcella Detty and brother Ernest Ray Hardman. She is survived by her husband, James R. Weaver; children, Joyce (Tom) Tighe, Granville, James E. Weaver, Port Clinton, Jack (Judy) Weaver, Whitehall, Sharon (John) Peters, Pataskala and John (Amy) Weaver, Newark; 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Georgia Merriman, Chillicothe; cousin, Herb and Bert Graves, Chillicothe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dolly and George Sykes, Pataskala and Joe and Mary Weaver, Orient; numerous nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 12-1 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main St., Reynoldsburg, where her service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. D.E. Clay and Rev. William Hill officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

WEVODAU Fred H. Wevodau, Sr., Westerville, formerly of Apple Valley, Oh., on August 23, 2002, following a lingering illness. Born July 12, 1921, in Harrisburg, Pa., relocated to Columbus in 1964 with Nationwide Insurance from which he retired December, 1982. He was Division Manager of Fire Systems when he retired. He is survived by his wife and friend of 56 years, Eleanor; four children, Fred H. (Linda) Wevodau, Jr., Parker, Co., Mrs. Pamela (Thomas) Kinsel and Mrs. Paula (Douglas) Ewart, both of Canal Winchester, Oh., and Mrs. Patrice (Orby) Kelley, Dublin, Oh.; six granddaughters and six grandsons; sister, Gladys Willis, Harrisburg, Pa. Friends may call at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville, Monday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where service will be held 1 p.m. Monday. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Contributions to the local Muscular Dystrophy Association in lieu of flowers are suggested.

WILLEY A Mass of Christian Burial for Judith A. Willey, 60, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Francis DeSales Catholic Church, 66 Granville St., Newark. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery in Newark. Ms. Willey, a human resources representative for the Bayer Corporation in Hebron, died August 23, 2002, at her residence. Ms. Willey was a 1959 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University at Newark with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. Ms. Willey was a member of P.E.O. Chapter EL and Catholic Lay Women's Retreat League. She is survived by her sister, Sister Patricia Thomas, O.P., of Notre Dame, Ind. and several cousins. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. Monday at the McPEEK FUNERAL HOME, 133 S. WILLIAMS Richard "Dick" Williams, age 61, St. Petersburg, Fla., July 26, 2002. Retired COTA driver. Graduate of West Jefferson High School, Class of 1958. Preceded in death by wife Carol Schall Williams, October, 2001, parents Helen and Robert and daughter Laura Williams. Survived by son, Ken; brother, Warren (Marilyn) Hibben; special aunt, Ruth Brandt; step-sons, Rick and Mike Ott; step-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dick (Dottie) Schall; nieces and nephews. WILSON Ancil Leroy "Curly" Wilson, 80, of Groveport, formerly of Reese and Minford, Oh., passed from this earthly life to eternal life with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 22, 2002. He left behind temporarily his wife Ina of 55 years; son, John (Beverly) Wilson of Columbus, Oh.; daughter, Joyce (Rick) Thompson of Canal Winchester, Oh.; grandchildren, Rick (Karen) Thompson Jr., Samantha (Jason) Gang, Heather Thompson (fiance, Mark Clagett), and Jason, Joshua and John Wilson; 5 great-grandchildren, Beth and Samuel Thompson, and Jordan, Cole and Riley Gang; 1 sister, Virginia McCarley of Grove City, Oh.; and many nieces and nephews. Ancil was preceded in death by his parents Rev. John Wilson and Elitha (Siler) Wilson, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. A faithful member of Reese Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union for 41 years, where he was active in many offices through the years until the time of his stroke. He was serving as janitor of the church for the third time when he became ill. He also was a janitor for Groveport United Methodist Church and the Hamilton Township High School. He was a 1941 graduate of Minford High School, served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and was a WW II Veteran. Ancil was a retired telegrapher from the Chessie System Railroad. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Oh. and 1 hour prior to the service Monday 11 a.m.-12 noon at Reese Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union, 4747 Ridge St., Reese, Oh., where service will take place at 12 noon with Rev. Don Spurgeon and Pastor Tim Huffman officiating. Interment Union Grove cemetery, military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Navy. WILSON Megan Lindsay Wilson, age 23, of New Albany, on Thursday, August 22, 2002. Student at The Ohio State University. Preceded in death by grandparents Daniel Goldsmith and Patricia Wilson and uncle Jeffrey Goldsmith. Survived by parents, Phillip S. and Debra A. Wilson; brother, Jarrod P. Wilson; sister, Kristin (Mark) Wilson; grandparents, Jocelyn Goldsmith, Malvin Wilson; uncle, David (Veronica) Goldsmith; nephew, Jordan Wilson; cousins, Brandon, Cameron and Jacob; special friend, Robert Fighter. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Monday August 26, 2002 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where the family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. until time of service. YOAK Karen Lee Yoak, age 58, died August 19, 2002 in Cleveland, Oh. Preceded in death by parents William (Doris) Mulholland and son William Brent. Survived by husband, John Floyd Yoak; son, John (Rebecca McCune) Floyd II, grandchildren, Heather Marie, Jonathan Tyler, Brent Michael; sister, Sandra K. Mulholland; many family and friends. ACHESON Wilbur E. "Gene" Acheson, born December 1, 1934 passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Annabelle M. Acheson and granddaughter, Desiree A. Floyd. Preceded in death by parents, Wilbur H. and V. Fauntell Acheson and step-son Donald M. Floyd. He is also survived by step-daughter, Betty J. Hammond; daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and Randy Roby; grandsons Ryan and Scott Roby. He had retired from TWA after 31 years of customer service; graduate of Lincoln McKinley High School, January 1953. Gene and his wife were keepers of many stray animals over the years and had made many friends. Cremation by SCHOEDINGER STATE STREET CHAPEL, there will be no calling hours or services per his request. He would like all of his friends to remember the good times and toast to that.

AMSPOKER (Millikan) Leslie Millikan Amspoker, age 47, of Columbus, Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at St. Ann's Hospital. Previously employed by Columbus Colony. AUSTIN Martha L. Austin, age 93, retired from OSU with over thirty years of service and is a long time member of Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (Phillips) Allen; brothers, David and William Phillips; sister, Louvenia L. Davis; daughter, Evelyn Marie Cornelius; grandsons, Terry Johnson, Bernard Griffin; son-in-law, Ernest Dumas. She is survived by her children, Antonio (Gladys) Johnson, Jr. Genevieve Dumas, Cheryl (Richard) White; special granddaughter, Beverly Carroll; nieces, Loretta Davis, Dr. JoAnn Green, Mary Davis; nephew, James Davis; 17 grandchildren; along with a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Lutheran Care Center and OSU East Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the SCHOEDINGER STATE ST. BEDDOW Dale L. Beddow, 81, Sunbury, unexpectedly Tuesday, August 27, 2002. Born December 20, 1920 to the late Clyde L. and Edna F. (Browning) Beddow. Graduate of Sunbury High School Class of 1940 and US Army Veteran of WW II. Retired after working 47 years for Nestle's. Member of Benson Hough American Legion Post No. 457 and Big Walnut Golf Course. He enjoyed his family, golfing and taking family photographs. Survived by daughters, Linda Boyd, Leona M. (Rick) Salyer of Sunbury; son, David L. Beddow of Columbus; 6 grandchildren, Ardena (Ryan), Jamie, Shawn, Shane, Patrick, Brandy; great-grandson, Justice; brother, Ronald (Jan) Beddow of Lucas; special friend, Shirlie Gorman; nieces, nephews; sisters-in-law, Viola (Jack) Hamilton, Eileen Corwin, Donna (Jim) Ballard. Preceded in death by wife Dora Jean (Middaugh), brothers Raymond and Lowell. CERASOLI Attilio Cerasoli, Saturday, August 17, 2002 in Columbus, Oh. He was born in Barre, VT in 1916, of Esterino and Beatrice Cerasoli and lived as an adolescent in Italy for 12 years where he attended school. He returned to the U.S. in 1932 and worked for the better part of 20 years for the Wright Monument Works in Bradford, PA. He came to Columbus in 1966 and was last employed by the Mason Memorial Studio. He is survived by 2 step-brothers, Nino and Joseph Di Iorio of Yonkers, N.Y. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2002 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 684 S. Third St. Interment will be at Hope cemetery, Barre, VT. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER MID TOWN CHAPEL.

CHAMBERLIN Tracy L. Chamberlin, age 33, of Columbus, died on Monday, August 26, 2002 at her residence. Preceded in death by her sister Tresa Wildermuth. Survived by her husband, Scott A. Chamberlin; and daughter, Courtney; mother, Susan Quinn; father, Larry (Debbie) Wildermuth; brother, Larry Wildermuth; maternal and paternal grandmothers, Janis Wolverton and Olive Wildermuth; relatives and friends. COX Lloyd F. Cox, retired Colonel, 71, Galena, Tuesday evening, August 27, 2002. Born December 22, 1930 to the late Samuel and Florence (Zornes) Cox. He enjoyed golfing. U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran. Held the rank of Colonel Ohio National Guard serving as Chief of Military Support Operations. Then served as State of Ohio Emergency Management Operations Officer. Survived by his wife: Virginia (Lobmiller); sons, Warren (Connie) Cox, Lewis Center, Sam (Christina) Cox, Westerville, Michael Cox, Portsmouth; daughters, Barbara and Mary Beth Cox, Portsmouth; 8 grandchildren; brother, Russell Cox; sisters, Margaret McCall and Ruth Irey. Preceded by brother Kenneth. DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury are assisting with the arrangements, there will be no services. DAVITZ Donald H. Davitz, age 74, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002. Mr. Davitz was a member of the Lighthouse Ministries Church and had retired from American Freight where he had work as a driver. Donald was preceded in death by wife Dorothy in 1996. He is survived by his son, Donald (Cheryl) Davitz, Jr. of Ala.; grandsons, Zane and Andrew Davitz; sister, Mary (Jack) Carter of Mansfield; brothers, Walter (Wanda) Davitz of New Albany and Herbert (Gladys) Davitz of Northern Ohio. DesMARAIS Stanley F. "Stan" DesMarais, age 91, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at Doctors Hospital West. He was born on May 12, 1911 in Staples, Minn. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in engineering. He was employed by DuPont for 25 years. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated a Firestone Dealer store. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years Irma DesMarais, who was the mother of his 4 children, second wife Okra DesMarais, daughter Suzanne Cox and brother Hubert DesMarais. He is survived by his 3 sons, Stanley DesMarais of Olympia, Wash., Michael DesMarais of Wilmington, Del. and David DesMarais of Menlo Park, Calif.; sister, Marjorie Sonnenberg of Dubuque, Ia.; grandchildren, Steve, Bob and Dave DesMarais, Andrea DesMarais and Kelly Cox; great-grandchildren; Andrew and Jane DesMarais. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2002 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Interment will be in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens, Dubuque, Ia. after the service.

FREDA Rose Mae Freda, 72, a Columbus resident from 1990-1996, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 26, 2002 at her home in Uniontown, Pa. Born in in Keisterville, Pa., she was the eldest child of Robert W. and Anna Majstoravich Havlichek, who preceded her in death along with siblings Esther, Betty Jean and James. She was a devoted mother to Kathryn R. Paugh (Robert) of Worthington and George R. Freda (Terri) of Johnsonburg, Pa.; and delighted in her role as grandmother to Elizabeth Paugh, Columbus and Jessica and Crystal Freda, Johnsonburg, Pa., who survive her. She also is survived by sisters, Ethel McDougle and Patricia Natoli of Uniontown, Janet Havlichek of Cleveland; brothers, Robert and Paul, Cleveland; and a host of dear friends in Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Known for her selflessness and generous spirit, she was an avid volunteer for church, school and charitable committees in several communities where she lived. Services will be held Thursday, August 29 at 2 p.m. at Shell Funeral Home, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa. 15401. FURCI Anne G. Furci, age 97, Monday, August 26, 2002 at Broadview Health Center. Former resident of Little Flower Haven, La Mesa, Calif. for 16 years, where she became a member of Carmilite Third Order. Preceded in death by husband Pasquale R. Furci and granddaughter Melody Furci. Survived by sons, Dr. Donald R. Furci and wife, Susan of Grove City, Pasquale R. Furci and wife, Sharon of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Bobby, John Michael, Tina, Heidi, Duffy, Bethany and Josh; 9 great-grandchildren.
