TRESENRIDER Ramon Tresenrider, born August 5, 1927, age 75, gave up his valiant struggle against diabetes and Parkinson's disease. He passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2002 at 12:30 p.m. He is survived by his devoted wife and caregiver, Helen; his 2 sons and their families, Ray and Heather of Wooster, OH and their children, Emily and Marc and Rick and Sue of Grove City and their children, Paul and Amy; brother, Frank and his family; sister, Velma Jane Adrian and her family also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Foster. Ramon's family brought him much joy and happiness. Ramon was an avid Buckeye fan, having attended OSU and prior to that, Muskingam College. He proudly served his country as Honor Guard to General Douglas McArthur in Japan. He retired from Abex Denison and had a second career at the Grove City Public Library. He was a member of Columbus-Grove City Elks #37 where he served as trustee and treasurer for many years. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #164. His many friends and golfing buddies will remember him fondly and will know that he prefers that you wear no neck-ties, please, as he will be wearing that white sweater. He considered his many friends at the Elks and the Legion as extended families. He grew up in Zanesville, OH, graduating from Lash High School in 1945. His life-long friend, Dick Crosser, preceded him just last year, and his widow, Bonnie, of Clearwater, FL also survives. Good friends, Ray and Jean Hill of Grove City meant a great deal to him. The two Rays soon became know as "Ray and Ray, Inc." They enjoyed each others company and their wives tried in vain to keep the duo out of trouble. Ramon's saddest day was November 28, 1979, when he lost his son, Tom. He lived his life well, touched many lives and was equally touched by many and counted his blessings. He was a kind and gentle man. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2002 with Dr. Carl Wiley, officiating.
