CRUMBLEY Richard Vaughn "Mickey" Crumbley, age 63, went to be with our Lord August 28, 2002 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1938 to Gus and Ruby Crowder of Columbus, Oh. Richard remained a life long native of Columbus. Member of Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith and a 20 year employee with Volvo and Rickenbacker. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, son Richard Jr. of Louisville, Ky. and step-son Marcus Bolden of Columbus, Oh. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Bolden Crumbley of Columbus, Oh.; mother-in-law, Evangelist Bertie Bolden; 2 uncles, Charles Perry and Richard (Louise) France, both of Columbus, Oh.; 1 aunt, Edna Knight of Calif.; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy and Conni Bolden; 4 step-children; 17 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Richard will be missed also by special "brothers", Frank (Marcie) Rudolph of Indianapolis, Ind. and James (Claudette) Conley of Columbus, Oh.; family and numerous friends. Going home service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Ave. Elder William Polley officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday 9 a.m. until time of service. Richard will be laid to rest at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Oh. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St.

DAVIS William E. Davis, Sr., age 71, of Lockbourne, September 4, 2002, at Cleveland V.A. Medical Center. U.S. Army Veteran. Survived by daughter, Debra Davis; sons, William E. (Carla) Davis, Jr., all of Columbus, and Joe (Laura) Davis of Lockbourne; 6 grandchildren; sister, Agnes (Richard) Whittington of Cincinnati; many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Graveside service followed by burial Friday, 12 noon at Greenwood cemetery in Buffalo, W.Va.

DOUGHERTY Harley G. "Dink" Dougherty, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., formerly of Dublin, Oh., September 3, 2002. Preceded in death by parents Homer and Clara (Eger), brother Glenn and grandson Timothy Kaiser. Survived by wife, Nancy (Vance); children, Pat (Gary) Evans, Regena Porter, Karen Sullivan, Scott (Lisa) Dougherty; grandchildren, Susan Shirk, Christopher Sandham, Kevin Kaiser, Jay Boden, Stacey Boden, Christinie Dougherty, Sarah Dougherty and Marina Dougherty; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Vance, Ryan Shirk, Kaya Leisch, Jay Boden Jr., Trevor Boden and Cassandra Kaiser. Born in Dublin, August 3, 1918, Dink moved to Fla. last year. In the 1960's he was an active member of the Franklin County Democratic Party, serving several terms as Committeeman in Washington Twp. He was a fixture at the Franklin County Court House and is well-remembered for his years of service in the Recorder's Office. During his retirement, Dink spent many years helping neighbors and friends while working at Trustworthy Hardware. Kids and their sports were his passions. Dink was a founding member of the Dublin Quarterback Club and the Dublin Youth Athletic Association. He coached baseball and football with the DYA for about 10 years, and was awarded a lifetime pass to Dublin Schools' athletic events in recognition of his many years of dedication. A memorial service is planned at the Dublin Christian Church, 2900 Martin Rd. on Saturday, September 7 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jeff Stone officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Green Cove Springs, Florida Fire Department, your local youth athletic association or the Leukemia Society of America. Family will receive friends after the service at VFW Post 3268, Plain City.

DUNFEE Iree H. Dunfee, age 78, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at the Villa Angela. Preceded in death by parents William A. and Ethelene (Martin) Walker, brothers William and Carey Walker. Survived by husband, Francis; son, Robert L. (Lana) Dunfee of Troy; grandchildren, Robert (Sue) Dunfee Jr. of Tex., David (Susan) Walker of Greenville, Duane (Elizabeth) Dunfee of Troy and Michael Walker of Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren. KINDIG Owen R. Kindig, age 78, died Monday, August 12, 2002 at his home in Newark, Oh. Survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg"; daughter, Karole (David) Doran; son, O. Richard (Beth) Kindig; 4 granddaughters, Emily (Mircea) Crisan, Rebecca (John) Koreny, Rachel and Lydia Kindig; brother, Martin; 3 sisters, Clarice Miles, Joan Cook and Margaret Goss, all of Ind. He was an electron microscopist at OSU, Veterinary Patho-Biology for 25 years. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2002, RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m.

LANE Della Esther Lane, age 90, of Columbus, died Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Ethil, son George Romine, daughters Delores Lanning and Charlotte New. Survived by daughters, Wilma, Agnes (Jack) Zellner, Judy Murphy; and grandson, Mark New; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many other siblings. June 17, 1942, the son of Harry H. and MaryEllen (Smith) Lindsey, both of whom preceded him in death. Graduate of Keystone High School, LaGrange, Oh., Bowling Green State University and Xavier University. Retired after 30 years of teaching and coaching from Groveport Madison Local Schools. Member Asbury United Methodist Church South. Survived by wife, Carol Ebersole Lindsey; sons, Jason (Tammy), Canal Winchester, Trent (Michele Bowling), Columbus; grandchildren, Jordan, Devon and Jacob; brother, Randolph (Debra), N.J. MASTERS LaMoyle A. Masters, 84, of Atlanta, Ga., died Monday afternoon August 26, 2002 in Atlanta where she had resided the last 2* years having moved from Columbus, Oh. Born March 25, 1918 in Pioneer, Oh., she was the daughter of Marcia (Snow) and Ellsworth Masters. A 1936 graduate of Pioneer High School and a graduate of Davis Business College, Toledo, Oh. She was employed by Battelle Institute, Columbus, Oh. for 39 years, retiring in 1983. During her employment, she was honored for her participation in the Manhattan Project; manager of the Atomic Engergy Commission Library at Battelle; and administrator of the Reports Library, including the D.O.E. Library. Upon her retirement, she received the Distinguished Achievement Award from Battelle. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association from 1963 until her death. Surviving are 2 brothers, James (wife, Sally) Masters of Naples, Fla. and Eldon (Patricia) Masters of Atlanta, Ga.; 2 nieces; 7 nephews; 21 great-nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents. Funeral services were held at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, Pioneer, Oh. on Thursday. Interment will be in Floral Grove cemetery, Pioneer, Oh.

MATURO Donald L. Maturo, 75, of West Palm Beach, Fla., on August 15th. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mimi Russo Maturo; daughters, Laura Boytim, Galena and Dona Maturo, Columbus; brothers and sister-in-law, Raymond and Lee Maturo, West Palm Beach, Stephen Boytim, Marblehead; grandpup, "Captain"; Rocky Russo and D. MAYFIELD Betty L. Mayfield, 83, former associate of Schottenstein's and longtime resident of Columbus, OH. died January 24, 2002 in Conway, SC. Preceded in death by husband Howard F. Mayfield, brothers John, Harry, Bobby, Raymond, Frank and Fred Nisley, sisters Jo Nisley, Pauline Schneider, Helen Fracasso, Mary Osborne, Anna Carpenter and Fannie Swanson. Survived by daughters, Patricia L. (William) Bucy, Myrtle Beach, SC. and Michele L. Mayfield, Charleston, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. PATTERSON Robert M. Patterson, age 81, formerly of Grove City, died August 26, 2002 at Bay Pine Veteran Hospital, Bay Pine, Fla. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Former owner of Pat's Linoleum and Pat's Gun Repair in Grove City. An avid wood craftsman. Preceded in death by wife Nina (Himpill) Patterson, sons Timothy and Terry, parents Alfred and Mary (Mitchell) Patterson, step-father George Mitchell and brother Earl Patterson. Survived by son, Robert Patterson; sisters, Evelyn L. Cook of Grove City and Helen W. (Charles) Mulholand of Palmetto, Fla.; brother, Dale (Maryann) Patterson of Livingston, Tex. He will be missed by his loved ones and friends. Cremation and services were performed in Bay Pine, Fla.
