Madonna E. (Cupp) Sigg
(1925 - 2003)

NEY - Madonna E. (Cupp) Sigg, 78, of Ney, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at her home near Ney.
Born Sept. 18, 1925, in Defiance County, to Mabel (Derringer) and Alva Cupp, she married Lyle Sigg on June 24, 1945, and he preceded her in death earlier this year.
A lifelong homemaker and farm wife, she was a member of the Ney United Methodist Church and the Ney American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Gail Ann Sigg and Mrs. Robert (Tamara) Bowers, both of Ney; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Wanda Sullivan of Stryker and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Childers of Delta.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant grandsons and one brother. Visitation will be held today from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. James Stinehelfer to officiate. Interment will follow in the Evansport Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospitals of Williams County Hospice.

Mildred O. "Dolly" Dewire
(1920 - 2003)

EDON - Mildred O. "Dolly" Dewire, 83, of Edon, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola, Ind., where she had been a patient since Saturday.
Born Feb. 8, 1920, at Dearborn, Mich., to Mildred Ruth (Shaw) and Weir Scott, she married Montie Van Dewire on March 24, 1940, at Edon, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1999. A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Edon, a member of the church's Mary Martha Society and Altar Guild, and the Edon American Legion Post No. 662 Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Larry W. (and wife, Joan) Dewire of Edon, Steve A. (Cheryl) Dewire of Hamilton, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Mary L.) Damman of Hillsdale, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Sue Dewire of Montpelier; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert Scott; a son, Montie Van Dewire Jr. in 1977; and an infant granddaughter, Kristie Joe Gillen. Visitation will be held Thursday after 2 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Edon with Pastor Daniel Beaudoin to officiate. Burial will follow in the Edon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Mildred A. Traxler
(1908 - 2003)

WEST UNITY - William E. Campbell, 84, of West Unity, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at the Dilworth Center of Community Hospitals of Williams County-Montpelier.
Born July 20, 1919, at Portsmouth, to Della (Cunningham) and Frank Campbell, he married L. Dana Setzer on Dec. 15, 1945, and she preceded him in death.
A West Unity resident for the past six years, he was a retired U.S. Air Force career officer, having served in both World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kurt (Mary) Lillemon of West Unity; and three grandchildren, Jessica Lillemon of Chicago, Ill., Trent and Tyler Lillemon, both of West Unity.
Visitation will be held Saturday after 9:30 a.m. in the Mayhew Funeral Home, Jackson. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with graveside services at 2 p.m. in Brick Union Cemetery at Greenup, Ky.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Community Hospitals of Williams County-Montpelier.
Local arrangements are by the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home-Montpelier.

Sharon S. Goebel

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Sharon S. Goebel, 63, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at her residence.
Born in Defiance, Ohio, she was a shipping clerk with Marketing Impact-New Process for 17 years, and a member of Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lavon R. of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. Andy (Staci) Gilbert of Kimmell; a son, Chad (and wife, Andrea) Goebel of Fort Wayne; her mother, Kathryn Bruot of Melbern, Ohio; two brothers, Richard Robinett of Edgerton, Ohio and Rick Bruot of Troy, Ohio; two sisters, Helen Ann Goebel of Melbern and Shirley Kay Snyder of Troy; and five grandchildren, Gabe, Justin, Grace, Lauren and Christopher.
Preceding her in death was her father, Harold Bruot.
Visitation will be today from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m., with additional visitation one hour prior, at Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church, 12707 Tonkel Road. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health Care & Hospice or to Robinson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Edna M. Buchs

EDGERTON - Edna M. Buchs, 94, of Edgerton, died shortly after noon on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in the Dilworth Center of the Community Hospitals of Williams County-Montpelier.
Arrangements are pending at the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton.

Mildred A. Traxler
(1908 - 2003)

MONTPELIER - Mildred A. Traxler, 95, of Montpelier, died Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2003, in the home of her son in Auburn, Ind., where she had been residing due to illness.
The daughter of Louise (Seyfferth)(Gephart) and Joseph A. Klein, she was born March 10, 1908, at Detroit, Mich. On May 18, 1931, she married Adam P. Traxler, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1981.
A Montpelier resident since 1924, she was a homemaker, and for many years had been the office nurse/receptionist for Howard J. Luxan, MD, in Montpelier.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Montpelier and Lillian Chapter 41, Order of Eastern Star, Montpelier.
Surviving are a son, Lyle (and wife, Delores) Traxler of Auburn, Ind.; a daughter, Karen Hill of Montpelier; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion Shanon of Montpelier and Adele Gloyd of Palm City, Fla.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were a brother, Leonard A. Klein; a grandson, Tommy Allen Hill; and a great-grandson, Jarod Traxler.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. in the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Duane Mabee, DeKalb County Hospice Chaplain Paul Mark and Pastor Rosene Short to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.
Memorials may be made to DeKalb County Hospice, 1316 East 7th St., Auburn, IN 46705.

Dorothy A. Willford
(1927 - 2003)

ANGOLA, Ind. - Dorothy A. Willford, 76, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at her son's home in Angola, after a long battle with cancer.
The daughter of Celia (Bloom) and Clarence Landel, she was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Williams County, Ohio. On Dec. 2, 1946, she married George Willford, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1999.
A 1945 graduate of Bryan High School, she and her husband worked in Toledo, Ohio where they retired in 1988 and moved to Sarasota, Fla. She was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church and worked in the church office.
Surviving are a son, Stephen (and wife, Mary) of Angola; grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Jennifer) Gallen of Pittsburgh, Pa., Timothy of Toledo, Mrs. Chris (Alison) Enright of Toledo, and Todd (Wendy) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Abigail Gallen; and a sister, Mrs. Mort (Polly) DeGroff.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; and a daughter, Diane Wood on May 6, 1997.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, with the Rev. Stearns to officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens at Ascension Lutheran Church.
