Jerry Lee Kauble

Jerry Lee Kauble, 50, died at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday April 20, 1999, at his residence at 13950 CH 108, Upper Sandusky.
He was born July 25, 1948, in Kenton, to John and Vesta (McDaniel) Kauble. His mother survives in rural Upper Sandusky. On Sept. 30, 1988, he married
Kathy Luikart. She also survives.
Other survivors include: four children, Desiree Kauble of Orlando, Fla., Amanda Frey and Caleb Kauble, both at home, and Charles Frey of Upper Sandusky; two brothers, Ray Kauble of Upper Sandusky and Bruce Miller of Kenton; and a sister, Laura Wise of Wapakoneta.
His father and a brother, Robert Kauble, are deceased.
Mr. Kauble, a U.S. Navy veteran, was self-employed in building maintenance.
He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Upper Sandusky.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Kingdom Hall, with Brother Steven Cole officiating. The body has been cremated.
There will be no visitation. The Beach Funeral Home, Carey, is in charge of arrangements.

Gary Lee Schnipke
Former plant manager/TU graduate
Gary Lee Schnipke, 45, of 2701 Fernwick Drive, South Boston, Va., died Saturday April 17, 1999, in the Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston.
He was born in Lima Oct. 26, 1953, to Urban and Betty (Ricker) Schnipke. They survive in Cloverdale, Ohio. His wife, Wanda Kay (Halfhill) Schnipke, whom he married
April 19, 1980, in the First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, survives.
Survivors also include: a son, Dustin Schnipke, and a daughter, Tiffany Schnipke, both of South Boston; four brothers, David Schnipke of Delphos, Randy and Denny Schnipke, both of Ottoville, Ohio and Dalyn Schnipke of Dixon, Ohio; and three sisters, Kathy Gardner of Michigan, Karen Rieman of Ohio and Connie Schnipke of Cloverdale.
Mr. Schnipke, a graduate of Ottoville High School and Tiffin University, had worked as a plant manager of NHB Industries, Talladega, Ala.
He was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Chamber of Commerce, all of South Boston.
He also served as treasurer of the Comet Swim Team of South Boston High School and was active in the Literacy Program of South Boston.
The Rev. James K. Say will be the celebrant at the 11 a.m. Friday funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until departure to the church.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Elmer D. Walter
Retired farmer/elevator owner
Elmer D. Walter, 69, of 7397 W. CR 59, Carey, died at 7 p.m. Monday April 19, 1999, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
He was born April 4, 1930, in Wyandot County, to the late William M. and Ethel C. (Kloepfer) Walter. His stepmother, Frona M. Walter, survives in Carey. He was raised by Edgar and Jenny B. Thomas. On March 7, 1954, in the West Independence United Methodist Church, he married
Dorla Diebley. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Faron Walter of Carey, Joe Walter of Forest and Dwayne Walter of Pataskala; six daughters, Diane Walter of Sycamore, Janice Bennington of Carey, Mrs. Gary (Sandy) Pahl of Salem, Va., Mrs. Wayne (Brenda) Haubert of LaRue, Nancy Ekleberry, also of Sycamore and Mrs. Matt (Lori) Turcotte of Wasilla, Alaska; five sisters and brothers, Paul E. and Lewis W. Walter and Kathryn Ruth Mohn, all of Carey, Martha H. Saltzman and Mrs. Carlton (Esther C.) Cole, both of Alvada; five half brothers and sisters, Jack E., Stephen H. and James M. Walter, all of Carey, Mrs. Gerald (Naomi F.) Davis of Findlay and Mrs. Richard (Susan K) Shaferly of Alvada; a stepsister, Jane Pierce of Arizona; and 16 grandchildren.
A brother, Henry Dale Walter, is deceased.
Mr. Walter, a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict, was a retired farmer. He also owned and operated Adrian and Deunquat Elevators for 25 years.
The Rev. Lowell Reeder will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday.

Grace V. Stover, 79, of 37 Apple St., Tiffin, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
Arrangements are pending at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
Jennings Morgan 'Jay' Parker
Former Tiffin resident
Jennings Morgan "Jay" Parker, 81, formerly of Tiffin and also of Findlay, died at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at the Terrace View Nursing Home, Millersburg.
He was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Marion to Levi Jennings and Ethel S. (Cramer) Parker. He married
Elizabeth Laura Bishop June 12, 1938. She died March 14, 1990.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Margaret Ann "Margi") Oller, Millersburg, and Mrs. Dennis (Mary Elizabeth) Sutphen, Wexford, Pa.; four grandsons, two great-grandsons and a great-granddaugher.
Three sisters and a brother are deceased.
Mr. Parker was a 1937 graduate of Marion Harding High School.
He was a former salesperson for Airflow Heating, Findlay T.V., Powell T.V. and worked in the office for Security Storage. He also was a serviceman and manager and director of Cooking School for Ohio Fuel Gas Co. in several Ohio locations.
He was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Findlay, being an active choir member, usher and worship committee member. Mr. Parker was a Compeer volunteer and Compeer board member, Findlay; and a Compeer Volunteer of the Year in 1993-94 in Seneca County. He was also the choir director at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale. He was a member of the Tiffinians at Heidelberg College while living in Tiffin and was a former member and treasurer of Millstream Singers.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Dean M. Carzoo officiating. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens near Arcadia.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home in Findlay.

Inez (Holmes) Murphy

Inez (Holmes) Murphy, 83, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, April 19, 1999, at the St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.
Mrs. Murphy was born Aug. 4, 1915 to Wes and Mary Holmes in Vaidan, Miss. In 1941, she married
Willie C. Murphy. He is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Kenny Holmes, Findlay; daughters, Stephanie Bulger and Joslyn "Susie" Lawson, both of Fostoria; brothers Joseph, Cade and Herbert Holmes of Detroit, Jamie Holmes of Toledo and Wesley Holmes of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters Mrs. Jay (Mary) Moore of Detroit, Kate Ruth Purnell of Chicago and Sadie White of Vaidan, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.
Mrs. Murphy was a nurse's aide at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria. She had previously lived at 25 Christopher Drive and 1032 Cherry St., Fostoria.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Services will be at the Bethel Baptist Church in Fostoria at 1 p.m. Friday.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens near Arcadia.

Grace V. Stover

Grace V. Stover, 79, 37 Apple St., died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born March 12, 1920, in Tiffin to William and Rosa (Michaels) Weinberger. On May 4, 1940, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married
Robert W. Stover. He died July 24, 1976.
Surviving are: three sons, Mark Stover of Tiffin, Joseph Stover of Findlay and Richard Stover of Pickerington; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Stein of Fremont and Mrs. Stephen (Christine) Burr of Tallmadge; three sisters, Mary Ardner, Gertrude Robenalt and Loretta Swecker, all of Tiffin; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Louis, Otto and Henry Weinberger, and two sisters, Rose Feasel and Hilda Kelbley.
A homemaker, Mrs. Stover was a 1938 Calvert High School graduate.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, its Altar Rosary Society and the Third Order of St. Francis.
She also was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and St. Mary Church.
The Rev. Frank Murd and the Rev. Richard Dunn will be the co-celebrants at the 10 a.m. Friday funeral Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited at the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass Friday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. A wake service will be at 3:45 p.m.

John Walter Snow III
Infant son
John Walter Snow III, infant son of John Snow Jr. and Barbara McClough of Summit Street, Fostoria, was stillborn at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday April 20, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
Survivors include his parents; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Debra McClough of Bradenton, Fla.; paternal grandparents, James and Charlotte Fry of Fostoria; and paternal great-grandmothers, Velma Green and Annie Moyer, both of Fostoria.
Services in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 10 a.m. Friday until time of the service.

Eleanor F. Fertig-Crosby

Eleanor F. Fertig-Crosby, 83, died at 7:47 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at her residence on McCutchenville Road, Fostoria.
She was born in Cleveland May 8, 1915, to George and Lucille (Stanke) Fertig. Her husband, Harry E. Crosby, whom she married
June 23, 1936, in Cleveland, died Nov. 19, 1986.
Survivors include: four sons, Harry Crosby of Alta Loma, Calif., Tom Crosby of Cassopolis, Mich., James Crosby of Arcadia and Richard Crosby of Findlay; six daughters, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Armon of Iler, Mrs. William (Clara) Renninger of Leyman, S.C., Mrs. Lowell (Jane) Griffin of Alvada, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Kleman of Columbus Grove, Ellen Lowery of Fostoria and Kathy Crosby of Bowling Green; a brother, Elmer Fertig of Independence; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Zepher Hills, Fla., and Marjorie Fertig of Lorain; 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, a sister and two grandchildren also are deceased.
Mrs. Crosby, a former cook at the Wigwam Restaurant, also was a homemaker.
A 1933 graduate of Independence High School, Independence, Ohio, she was a member of Union United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women and WSCS.
The Rev. Guss Christo-Baker will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Saturday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Edward J. Roberts

Edward J. Roberts, 83, of 16 High Point Court, died at 8:58 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 1999. He was born April 25, 1915, to Walter E. and Cora (Johnson) Roberts. On Dec. 19, 1941, the Rev. K.G.T. Stanley married
Evalyn J. Dawson and Edward Roberts. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son Douglas E. Roberts of Shelby Township, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Lisa Evans of Austin, Texas and Christine Freeman of Savannah, Ga.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Paul Frederick Roberts; and two step-sisters, Bea Rose and Leah Ragsdale.
Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Prospect High School and Ohio Business College. During World War II he worked in Civil Service with the Air Corps. He retired as owner/operator of a service station, and was employed by the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library. His memberships included: Old Trinity Episcopal Church; former junior warden of the church; Masonic Blue Lodge 175, Rocky River; Seneca Chapter 42; Clinton Council 47; DeMolay Commandry 9; Scottish Rite, Valley of Toledo; Seneca County Scottish Rite Association; Zenobia Shrine, Toledo; Tiffin Shrine Club; Tiffin Chapter 189, Order of Eastern Star.
The Rev. John Trumble will officiate the memorial service, which will be at a later date at Old Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial will be at Greenlawn cemetery.
No visitation is scheduled.
