Mildred Marie Stoltz, 81, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at her residence at 4806 Sixth St. West, Lehigh Acres, Fla.
She was born in Fostoria, March 17, 1918, to Edwin and Marie (McCandless) Appel. On May 29, 1943, she married
Cecil Lewis Stoltz. He preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1994.
Surviving are: two sons, David Stoltz of Garner, N.C., and Robert Stoltz of Lehigh Acres; a daughter, Nancy Risner, also of Lehigh Acres; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Richard Appel of Lebanon, Ohio.
A homemaker, Mrs. Stoltz was a graduate of Fostoria High School and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Carey.
Services will be at1 p.m. Wednesday in the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Paul Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Leota M. Reiter
Retired Republic School cook
Leota M. Reiter, 84, of 102 Center St., Republic, died Sunday evening, Oct. 24, 1999, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin, following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Republic, to Grover C. and Anna Mayo (Gahris) Neikerk. On May 18, 1935, in Covington, Ky., she married
Ivan B. Reiter, who died Jan. 1, 1971.
Surviving are two sons, Nevin and Michael Reiter, both of Republic; three daughters, Mrs. Mike (Cleo) Puffenberger of Tiffin, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Roof of Dunkirk and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Burge of Boundbrook, N.J.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Grover Neikirk Jr. of Republic.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild; a son, Curtis in 1964; two brothers, Edward and Joe Neikirk; and a sister, Cleo Bare.
A lifelong resident of Republic, Mrs. Reiter was the owner/operator of the Republic Produce Co. from 1940 to the 1960s. She also worked as a cook at the Republic building of the Seneca East Schools for 17 years, retiring in 1980.
A 1932 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School, she was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ and its Women's Fellowship, the Wade Benfer American Legion Post 404 Auxiliary, where she was a 50-year member and the Cornelius Chapter Order Eastern Star 93 of Republic.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Republic United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jeffrey King officiating. Burial will be in Block cemetery, Republic.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, where Eastern Star services will be at 6:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the church, Cornelius Chapter OES 93 or Hardin County Library.
David L. Tulock
Tiffin resident's brother
David L. Tulock, 43, of 737 E. Sandusky St., Apt. 7, Findlay, was dead on arrival at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay, Wednesday evening, Oct. 20, 1999, as the result of an auto-pedestrian accident.
He was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., Nov. 29, 1955, to the late John and Florence M. (Knapp) Tulock.
Surviving are two brothers, John Tulock III of Georgia and Mike Tulock of Kalamazoo; and a sister, Susan M. Cook of Tiffin.
A sister, Sherry Tulock, also is deceased.
Mr. Tulock was a part-time employee at the Ohio West Truckstop in Findlay.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Maple Grove cemetery.
There will be no visitation. The Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay is in charge of arrangements.
Richard S. Beach
Atlas Crankshaft retiree
Richard S. Beach, 64, of 216 Summit St., Fostoria, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
He was born in Fostoria, April 2, 1935, to the late William W. Beach and Helen M. (Layton) Beach-Shaffer. His wife, Barbara J. (Kirian) Beach, whom he married
July 23, 1955, in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, died Sept. 2, 1983.
Survivors include: four sons, Gregg A. Beach of Fostoria, David L. Beach of Findlay, Christopher E. Beach of Toledo and Michael A. Beach of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. David (Kathryn) Hill of Fostoria, Mrs. Arthur (Julie) Armon of Tiffin and Mrs. David (Tracy) Mintey of Mt. Blanchard; a brother, Mike Shaffer of Fostoria; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Barbara) Geran and Mrs. Shirley Dixon, both of Fostoria; and 17 grandchildren.
His step-father, Frank Shaffer, and a grandchild, also are deceased.
Mr. Beach, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, worked on the crankshaft line at Atlas Crankshaft Inc. in Fostoria for 35 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, the AMVETS and Eagles Club, all of Fostoria.
A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the rosary recited at 10 a.m.. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Visitation at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where a Christian wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Louis G. Turco
Retired Webster Mfg. Supt.
Louis G. Turco, 79, 231 Clay St., died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, in the Emergency room at Providence Hospital, Sandusky.
He was born in Fossa, Italy, May 5, 1920, to Baigio and Candita (Calvisi) Turco. On Nov. 7, 1942, in St. Mary Church, Tiffin, he married
Mary P. San Gregory, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Turco of Pembroke Pines, Fla. and Thomas Turco of Bellevue; a daughter, Mrs. Connie Mark of Tiffin; four brothers, Daniel Turco of Gibsonburg and Dominic, James and Edward Turco, all of Toledo; a sister, Josephine Lazzaro of Oregon, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
A brother, John Turco, is deceased.
Mr. Turco, a World War II U.S. Army Signal Corp veteran, retired in 1984 as superintendent from the Webster Mfg., where he had been employed for 45 years.
An avid golfer, he was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Eagles 402, VFW Tiffin Post 2858, American Legion Post 169, Tiffin Moose Lodge 846 and the Mohawk Country Club.
He had attended Gibsonburg High School.
A funeral Mass in St. Mary Catholic Church will be at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Frank Murd and the Rev. William Rose as con-celebrants. The rosary will be recited at the church at 10:45 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, with a wake service at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Calvert Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
Eileen Marvis Kimmel
Retired teacher
Eileen Marvis Kimmel, 84, formerly of 6196 CR 96, Carey, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in the Wyandot County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky, where she had resided since July 1997.
She was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Findlay, to Frank and Laura (Beck) Lackey. Her husband, Henry G. Kimmel, whom she married
April 15, 1939, in Mt. Blanchard, survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, Kenneth E. Kimmel of Portland, Maine and Dennis A. Kimmel of Wharton; a daughter, Cheryl A. Matthews of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a granddaughter; and two brothers, Rodney P. and Wallace Lackey.
Mrs. Kimmel retired from teaching in 1977, after 21 years at Salem School, where she taught third grade. Prior to that she taught four years at Mt. Blanchard. She also was a homemaker.
A 1933 graduate of Mt. Blanchard High School, where she served as valedictorian, also graduated from Bowling Green Normal School.
She was a member of North Salem Lutheran Church, rural Upper Sandusky and its Women's Circle; Salem Grange, Wyandot County Farm Bureau Council, Ohio Retired Teacher's Association-Upper Sandusky Chapter and the HB Club.
The Rev. Jonathan Baker will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in the North Salem Lutheran Church. Interment will be in North Salem Lutheran Church cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County, Wetzel Special Care Unit-Alzheimer Support and the church.
Evelyn C. Cribbs

Evelyn C. Cribbs, 88, of 400 N. Main St., died at 9:36 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born in Arcadia, May 25, 1911, to Albert and Lillian (Reed) Churtz. On Oct. 21, 1929, in Fostoria, she married
Leland Cribbs, who died Aug. 30, 1984.
Survivors include: cousins Marian and Terry Perkins of Castalia; and friends.
Mrs. Cribbs, a homemaker, attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria. She was a charter member of the Fostoria Emblem Club.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Branson J. Hawkes officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, where Emblem Club memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m.

Mabel H. Smith
Retired homemaker
Mabel H. Smith, 91, formerly of McDougal Street, Fostoria, died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.
She was born in Fostoria, Aug. 22, 1908, to Alpheus and Bertha (Carrel) Dillon. She first married
Ernest L. Benninghoff on Aug. 28, 1930, in Fostoria. He died June 1, 1954. She later married
Harold W. Smith in July 1954, and he preceded her in death in March 1958.
Surviving are: a son, Eugene R. Benninghoff of Monroe, Ohio; a step-daughter, Mrs. George (Kathryn) Thacker of Maumee; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Carl and Frank Dillon; two sisters, Mae Waggoner and Helen Nolan; and a grandchild.
Mrs. Smith, a homemaker, was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, Fostoria, its Kings Daughters and Bereans.
She also was a member of the Arcadia Garden Club and served as a volunteer at: Fostoria Community Hospital, the Good Shepherd Home and the American Red Cross.
The Rev. Jeffrey L. Waite will conduct the 11 a.m. Friday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation at the funeral home will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the church, the American Heart Association or the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Paul Richard Ellis
Tiffin native
Word has been received of the death of Paul Richard Ellis, 66, who died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at his resident in Brewton, Ala.
Surviving are his wife, Voncile Ellis of Brewton; a son, Richard Ellis of Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter, Mary Stevanus of Fort Washington, Md.; two step-sons, Joe Weaver of Brewton and Jerry Weaver of Castleberry, Ala.; two sisters, Dorothy Gelba of Lancaster and Evelyn Wells of Arcadia; and 11 grandchildren.
A native of Tiffin, he had been a resident of Brewton for the past 10 years, coming from Fort Washington, Md.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Air Force for more than 23 years, he was a member of Norris Masonic Lodge 301, the Order of Eastern Star, the American Legion and Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Services were Oct. 23 in the Craver's Funeral Home Chapel, Brewton, Ala. Interment was in Union cemetery, Brewton, with military honors.
Betty Mohn
Aunt of Tiffin resident
Word has been received of the death of Betty Mohn, 87, of Miami, Fla., who died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999.
She was born May 9, 1912, in Oceola, to Arthur W. and Stella (Fruth) Mohn.
Surviving are a nephew and two nieces, James Oberlander of Tiffin, Jane Clabaugh of Upper Sandusky and Irene Housley of Venice, Fla..
A brother, Richard Mohn, is deceased.
Miss Mohn, a retired teacher and librarian with the Miami Dade County Schools, was a former resident of the Oceola area.
She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.
Memorial graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oakwood cemetery, with the Rev. Benjamin Black of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
The staff of the Wise Funeral Service, Bucyrus, is handling the arrangements.
Mary Josephine Smart
Retired Clyde teacher
Mary Josephine Smart, 80, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at her home on Arch Street, Clyde.
She was born in Sycamore, March 2, 1919, to Orville and Cora Mae (Hackman) Cross. On Jan. 25, 1944, she married
Carl W. Smart, who died Feb. 14, 1996.
Survivors include: four sons, Carl A. Smart of Shiloh, Philip A. Smart of Fremont, Gregory A. Smart of Troy and Avery W. Smart of Blacklake; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Rosemary) Ryman of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Homan of Miami Springs, Ohio.
A brother, Sam Bibler, is deceased.
Mrs. Smart, a Latin, English and history teacher, retired from Clyde High School in 1980, after 18 years of teaching. She also taught at the Townsend Schools for 22 years.
A 1937 graduate of Sycamore High School, she was a graduate of Bowling Green State Teacher's College.
A member of the First United Methodist Church, its Women's Society and Friendly Philathea, she served as a leader of the evening circle and as the Women's Sunday School teacher for many years.
A resident of Clyde for more than 50 years, she also was a member of the Progress Club of Clyde, Clyde Garden Club, Sandusky County Retired teachers, Mended Hearts, the Rabbit Club and Clyde Senior Center.
The Rev. John Bailey will be the officiant at the 10 a.m. Saturday service in the First United Methodist Church, Clyde. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
Visitation at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
